  ### 1. Tried and true...but needs a facelift and some feature upgrades

**What do you like best about XCast Labs Hosted PBX?**

The logic is sensible, there is a lot of detail (if you want it) for each aspect of the system. Provisioning works well and the features work well.

**What do you dislike about XCast Labs Hosted PBX?**

almost EVERYTHING has to be done manually when setting up extension(s), changing extension-level settings, etc.; you can't set-up/change basic settings on the extensions in groups (assign division, directory listed, VM passcode, vm to email address, outbound caller ID, etc.). This really slows everything down when you are managing MULTIPLE PBX's and/or need to onboard dozens of extensions at one time (we should be able to upload an excel file with extension parameters pre-populated or have the ability to select multiple extensions at one time or enable/disable specific basic settings on multiple extensions at once).

No date/based scheduling capabilities
No SMS enabled extensions/DID's
No voicemail transcription
No extension-level scheduling
No changelog
No export/back-up feature
No mobile-app access to PBX admin/user controls (softphone only)

problems when viewing devices or extensions when you have more than 100 or either (blank page loads, can't search for items, etc.)

outdated user interface; not optimized for high-res screens or wide-format screens



**Recommendations to others considering XCast Labs Hosted PBX:**

Be sure you can handle a slow/limited feature release schedule and be content with the current set of features.

**What problems is XCast Labs Hosted PBX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not really solving any problems (having a lot of problems, actually).

Benefit example would be, even though there is a lot to be desired (some of which is kind of expected nowadays, considering competing platforms offer more in a lot of ways), what DOES work, works well and almost all the time.
