**What do you like best about Xactly?**

The ease of use and setting up new plans has been great.  The support and relationship with the Technical Account Manager (TAM) has been beneficial and it is great to have a contact who is always there for questions.

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

I don't have anything specific, stil need to integrate home grown systems with Incent.

**What problems is Xactly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up commission plans with a key distribution partner so we are not manually calculating and sending out payments.

**What do you like best about Xactly?**

It automates the calculations that I normally would have to do within excel. Powerful tool!

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

For my specific needs for our company, there isn't a way to remove certain quota amounts for an individual without having it go up the chain even with manual manipulation.  At least not to my or our dev personell's knowledge.

**What problems is Xactly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It calculates commissions with ease where doing this manually are prone to errors.  Shows the precise percentage of attainment for any quota applied.  Love this tool!

I like how user friendly Xactly is.It is very easy to go through and make changes to plans and much more. If you are unsure of anything the community page is always full of resources and very help. It keeps our process up to date and running smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

One downside of Xactly is that if we are working on a period we cannot freeze the statement view for reps. It leads to many questions as statements are in flux until we can finalize.

This has helped automate our commission process and saving us days worth of work. It allows us to have more time and tools to help with analysis rather than manual calculations.

For any retro adjustments, currently one must manually calculate and account  for the retro period, then again for the upcoming pay period.

Ease of booking integration and commission calculation.  It's benefit is auto-integration.
Ease of commission calculation based on complex credit rules setup.  It's benefit is systmic calulation vs manual.
Reporting capabilities.  It's benefits is reporting based on real-time.

**What do you like best about Xactly?**

We were able to centralize our commission calculation and payments and eliminate the use of manual spreadsheets.  We have standardized processes and now have two individuals processing instead of each accounting region.  Our account executives and sales managers can review commissions throughout the month and not wait for the end of the month to determine if payments are accurate.  We work with a technical account manager who has assisted us in improving our set up as we become more familiar with capabilities of the system and how it can better serve our needs.

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

The time needed for changes in Incent to update in Analytics is frustrating.  Our users prefer seeing reports in Analytics and the update usually takes two hours.

**What problems is Xactly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calculation of commissions were previously decentralized and inconsistency in applying practices.  Xactly Incent allows centralization and standardization of process and applying policies.

It's so easy to use and very user friendly. I have honestly never had a issue with the platform and has worked for me exactly how I want it to work. Meets all my expectations

I think that Xactly does a great job with the updates I do wish there was a bit more training for new hires in the corp so they could fully understand.

Seeing how much I get in commission and allow me to easily look at the past and see how I can improve

  ### 27. Great Tool to Help Navigate the Wild World of Commissions

**What do you like best about Xactly?**

I love the fact that the whole calculations process has been automated to the point that we can calculate our commission accruals daily when the company used to handle this process more manually and only run calculations once a month. The "real time" feedback helps to make quicker informed decisions regarding both sales and expense managment.

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

Some functionality is rather cumbersome and time consuming as there is not a bulk upload process in place for that function or you cannot mass copy from one year to the next with ease. If your company has a lot of quota plans or externally configured processes, each of those have to be copied over individually, so taking those one by one can wrack up the hours at year end.

The implementation was also rather long and complicated. However, our payment methodology is quite complex given the nature of our industry.

**What problems is Xactly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue that Xactly Incent is solving for our company is the automation of commission calculations to provide more accurate payment numbers in a more frequent and reqular timeframe. This benefits our agents as they know where they stand at any given time within the month and it also helps our Finance and Compensation Team better forecast monthly commission expenses which can also trickle up to influence business plans on what products to sell over others. So updates can be made as needed rather than after the month has concluded, saving time and money.

Detailed information with drill-down capabilities, breakdown of commisions and other information like compensation plans

Load times of several seconds. Screen real estate is cut-off by housing withing SFDC.

**What do you like best about Xactly?**

The tool can be configured a lot to make your desired result a success. You can make your conditions very complicated or very basic based on what your business needs are. Being able to clone rules and reapply them makes it very easy to rinse and repeat for other positions. They recently updated their UI and it's a much fresher look. They always are putting new releases out to enhance to tool further and you can add requests to improve the tool too.

**What do you dislike about Xactly?**

Because they are in the process of enhancing their tool through multiple product releases, sometimes there are minor bugs that usually have a workaround and they are willing to investigate and fix them. There are some enhancements that they could add that would drastically improve their conditional logic writing (which I have a request in for). Sometimes, finding documentation on what their tool does or what an exact feature can/can't do lacks a little bit but after a support ticket in, you can get the answer. Just hope they update their documentation.

**What problems is Xactly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calculating very complex commission plans among a diverse organization and wide range of products. Having this tool allows us to step away from manual calculations and allows users to have a dashboard to review.
