We have been using it since 2016 and all our customers have been impressed with it so far. Since WSO2 API manager has been on the market for quite some time, they have solutions for all our implementation scenarios. **What do you dislike about WSO2 API Platform?** There is nothing that I dislike about Wso2 API Manager, however we think Wso2 API manger can integrate with several other industry Identity Providers for key management. Today Wso2 API manger has out of box integration with wso2 identity provider/ resident key manager and Okta. **Recommendations to others considering WSO2 API Platform:** Other API gateway solution may look more attactive but beleive me this is best API manger in low cost. **What problems is WSO2 API Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** In order to have one single point of access to all APIs, we have been looking for API Gateway solutions. WSO2 API manager provides everything we need, including OAuth 2.0 authentication, throttling, and the ability to publish rest and soap APIs. It has burst control throttling configuration at the API level to protect backends, and it has application level throttling which we use to implement customer-specific limits. WSO2 Manager can send applications and other information to the backend as JWT tokens, which can be used to implement fine-grained authorization. ### 4. I like the simplicity (only when you really learn how to use it :) ) of the use of this technology. The platform is really transparent and easy to use, even if you are a begginer, the only problem is configuration the rest is not a problem. I don't know other technologies for publishing APIs, but from my experience this platform is for sure a good solution to what you need. **What do you dislike about WSO2 API Platform?** Well, I can say, only by reading the documentation on the site you really can't say you will know how to resolve all the problems you are facing with, because it has its own terminology. I think you need some good course to pass before you start using it. When you need to find the solution to your problems usually you will search it on the internet, but I found little or nothing, so the documentation will be your best friend :) **Recommendations to others considering WSO2 API Platform:** From my humble experience I can say wso2 am can be a really useful tecnology if you have some knowledge about how to use it. It gives simple and secure solutions to what you need. If you want to get this knowledge before start using it there are really good courses that you can buy (or your company for you), the only thing about courses I found on internet is that they are very expensive, but I think it's worth every money. If you don't get any course before start using it, try to find someone that has already experience with thins technology to help you, especially with configuration, the rest is easy by following only the documentation. **What problems is WSO2 API Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was given the task from my company to resolve and create the interceptor class, that will intercept all calls towards the APIs that are published, so I can manage some user profile security and give back the results based on user's data associated in database. I couldn't know how to do that only based on documentation, it wasn't so obvious that I had to look for handler class, as though I'm a self learner it was a bit difficult to find some answers, but in the end I resolved it. The greatest benefit of this platform is that you can manage and even publish your APIs in only a couple of minutes, so it's really quick and easy to use. ### 27. On one hand they used Java which is best option and on other hand they user Jaggery JS which no one use in the market. **Recommendations to others considering WSO2 API Platform:** If you are going to use APIManager in enterprise do get wso2 subscription as community version has alot of bugs **What problems is WSO2 API Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well securing API was an issue on EI so we used API Manager for securing our API and it is quite useful and we have a huge success in it. ### 30. The robustness of the platform is impressive. WSO2 API manager provides both on-premise and cloud versions unlike many enterprise products which are based on the cloud. Above all, it is open source. **What do you dislike about WSO2 API Platform?** The initial release was a bit difficult to understand. The newer version looks great. **What problems is WSO2 API Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** WSO2 has been leveraged to convert most of our SOAP webservices to rest. The SOAP services generated heavy java stubs and SOAP was poorly supported by the newer Oracle SAAS based applications. ### 34. This is a distinction I have found to be true with many WSO2 products in that, you are not bound to use their tools in order to create specific artifacts to load into their products.
