I like how user-friendly Workzoom is, allowing me to see information about my team at a glance. As an administrator, it's easy to navigate and input information, and I really enjoy working with the Workzoom team because they're so adaptive and flexible, always listening to feedback and finding solutions to meet my needs. I love that they are an all-in-one resource, unlike some HRIS platforms which provide only basic support. It's impressive that they're making efforts to ensure their entire platform, including payroll, is functional in the Caribbean. This inclusive and future-focused approach is great because it means I don't have to switch between different applications for HR and payroll, which helps me make more informed decisions in one place. It allows us to manage all the records related to our employees, schedule their leaves, and arrange their day-to-day planning in one place. It has the core functions of what an HRIS system is supposed to do, and has some interesting ideas re the reporting function (it doesn't work super well, but the spirit is there). The biggest thing is that it isn't intuitive, from neither user nor admin side, so our staff frequently complain they get "lost" in the system. There are some baffling UX choices, like it's impossible to copy the employee's address from their profile page, or open a new tab.

There are some issues with the system that have been brought up years ago and never resolved - e.g. an option to drag and drop a file to upload it was implemented back in 2024, but never actually worked. It's impossible for managers to see holidays of their team only.

It's a Canadian system, and there are issues with translating it to the UK context - e.g. many terms are hard-coded for the Canadian law, and, even though they can be displayed in UK terms on request, they are impossible to search due to the way the system is programmed. Although regular meetings are set to discuss progress and issues, I would like to have instant access to my coach when I am stuck in testing certain applications.
