**What do you like best about Workiva?**

The various features that Workiva has that enables us to perform our financial reporting duties with the highest quality and efficiency as possible. This includes but is not limited to linking feature, multiple users can edit a document, automated processes, perform SEC filings.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The spreadsheet functionality is not as user friendly as Microsoft Excel so it has limited uses currently.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helping us solve reducing errors in our filings thru the use of the linking feature. When we update disclosures and numbers the linking feature saves us alot of time from having to update each individual location where the disclosure or number is disclosed.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I find Workiva efficient for document sharing, reporting, and evidence sharing. I really like the sharing capabilities, and the way updates flow through to all applicable areas. I also appreciate the various levels of user access that Workiva provides.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The initial setup of Workiva was not easy. It took almost a year, and we had a brand new person assigned to our build, which was frustrating. I also feel the need to learn more about the expansion of use.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva makes document sharing efficient, with updates flowing through all areas. It helps with reporting and evidence sharing, crucial for my ICFR control documentation and testing.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like how intuitive Workiva is; it's very easy to use. I also appreciate being able to collaborate with my team in real-time, which enhances efficiency in our financial reporting. Automating financial tasks with Workiva helps reduce errors significantly. Additionally, the customer support is very responsive and quick to help.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

It can be laggy at times if I'm working in a large spreadsheet file.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva allows real-time team collaboration and automates financial reporting, reducing errors and increasing efficiency. It simplifies managing our 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and proxy statements by enabling simultaneous edits and updates, handling change management better than our previous use of Excel and Word.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like that multiple people can edit simultaneously in Workiva and we can track changes, which is great for collaboration. We can assign tasks easily, which helps in managing projects. I also appreciate the publishing feature where we can upload our papers and keep them in one place. The Workiva agent was very helpful during the setup.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The loading part takes time. Sometimes it crashes.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workiva for financial reporting and certifications, solving the need for effective quarterly filings at 10-Q, 10-K. It allows multiple people to make edits, track changes, assign tasks, and has a publishing feature to store documents in one place.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

Workiva has a relatively intuitive user interface that allows quick adoption and easy usage overall.  Particularly when drafting documents etc., it really functions like MS Word.  Most documents can be created outside of Workiva and then uploaded into their platform, with only final changes usually needed.  

However, one of Workiva's greatest aspects is that they have very responsive and helpful 24-hour customer service.  They are always pleasant and quick to provide assistance that resolves any technical or adoption issues. They always promptly follow up with emails.  It is secure and they provide quick Zoom share screen assistance if needed.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Once a document is in Workiva, it can be a little slow to make in line/real-time edits and changes in terms of speed of cursor and edit changes (just seems a little slower than working in word or excel directly).

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not sure what is currently on Workiva's roadmap.  We use Workiva for SEC '34 Act reporting requirements and have been extremely satisfied.  We also use it for Section 16 reporting requirements, where it is very user friendly and intuitive to use.  

Would be curious if to know what other tools/modules they offer for overall corporate governance and compliance management.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I love being able to centralize data and have real-time version control. It ensures that when a change occurs, control stays centralized and is automatically monitored, which helps eliminate manual errors. On top of that, the automated workflow makes it easy to track certification and compliance reviews—it’s fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

We ran into a few challenges during implementation, and setting up the framework was fairly complex and time-consuming. That said, none of these issues had any negative impact on its functionality.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, it’s a good tool that works well. It does require a considerable investment of time and money, but it also provides peace of mind, which supports data analysis and improves operational efficiency. For me, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. It’s excellent overall, and everything runs smoothly within an auditable, professional workflow.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I appreciate how Workiva makes consolidating information easy and how the linking feature helps in managing information across various sources. I find it nice to have control and ensure that the same number is consistent across the financials. The easy preparation of financials and the review features are what I like most about Workiva.

It would be nice if you could restore from a previous version, similar to how Excel allows you to restore and continue editing a previous version.

Workiva helps consolidate information easily and the linking feature ensures consistent numbers across financials, making it easier to prepare and review financials.

I appreciate that Workiva is an organized platform that keeps all of our audit testing and support together. I like that everything is all in one place. I also appreciate the use of Workiva AI to refine audit notes.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I find that dashboards and reports require a lot of pre-work to create, which can be cumbersome, especially if the CAM and implementation are not detailed. It can be a bit challenging for less tech-savvy users.

I use Workiva for audit work. It organizes all our audit testing and support in one place, and I appreciate using Workiva AI to refine audit notes.

I like Workiva's ability to edit and refresh links with one click of a button instead of manually changing adjustments across various spreadsheets. It eliminates version control issues by providing a platform with live documents and real-time edits.

Workiva could improve their excel functionality. It sometimes is clunky and not great with keyboard shortcuts. Also, the initial setup was time-consuming, especially when setting up workbook links and checking figures and templates.

I use Workiva for financial statement reporting and audit consolidation. It solves version control issues with live documents and real-time edits, plus I can refresh links with a single click.

The automation reducing manual data entry, real-time collaboration, data integration, helps organize regulatory requirements, has an audit trail, good security and is user-friendly.

It is relatively expensive, customization can be limited and it can be too complex for smaller tasks.

It eliminated all the emails back and forth both internally and externally during audits having a central repository for all the comments and documentation.

The entire audit cycle can be created in Workiva.

The retrieval of deleted information along with the documentation.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

In the requests once we raise we do have option to reopen the request but there is no option to attach any file in case we want to provide any reference to it.

The problem of extensive audit documentation and its retention is solved by Workiva.

I use Workiva daily to prepare GAAP financial statements, and it helps me get my work done more efficiently by saving me a lot of time. I like the constantly new features that the Workiva team introduces, which aim to make our lives easier in financial reporting. I also appreciate its connectivity, efficiency, and time-saving capabilities, along with its ability to meet industry standards. The initial setup was very easy as well.

I like that Workiva is relatively easy to use, with a flat learning curve that makes it straightforward for new users to get started. This feature allows us to quickly onboard new team members, which is really helpful. Also, anytime we make any changes to the platform, it remains relatively easy to adapt, which is a big plus for me.

There are  additional opportunities for automation and use of AI.

Workiva makes collaboration and reporting much easier. I really like how everything is connected in one platform—updates flow automatically across linked documents, which saves a lot of time and reduces version control issues. The audit trail and review features also make the review process smooth and transparent.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Sometimes the system can be slow or go down unexpectedly, especially during peak filing periods. A few formatting limitations in documents and spreadsheets can also be frustrating when preparing final reports.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva streamlines the SEC reporting process by connecting data across financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A in real time. It eliminates manual tie-outs and reduces the risk of version errors, especially during last-minute updates. The platform’s linking, audit trail, and review workflow make collaboration between accounting, legal, and finance teams much smoother. Overall, it saves time during quarter-end close and improves accuracy and control in filings.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

The ease of use and the ability to search for the help features. The CSMs and other Workiva team members are more than happy to help out and solve any issues you may come across. The ability to consistently link items to make sure there are no discrepancies between reports saves so much time.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Since it is web-based, it's hard to work offline if you are working while travelling or with poor internet connections.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva is constantly improving and taking in feedback on various areas that need improvement in the platform itself. Other issues we have faced internally is the consistency of documents. We can leverage the linking functionality in Workiva to ensure that there is consistency between filings. Additionally, the platform has so many tools where it's easy to make updates to reports and documents in one go quarter over quarter.

I really appreciate the resources Workiva provides, especially for XBRL help, which makes me feel confident in our financial reporting. Its ease of use is another highlight since it looks and feels like Microsoft Word, which is familiar and makes the transition smooth for users. The linking feature is also a big plus because it helps keep all the numbers accurate.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The graphs and charts could be more versatile. I wish there were more types available.

Workiva boosts my confidence in XBRL reviews and eases financial reporting with its Microsoft Word-like interface. Its linking feature ensures numerical accuracy.

I like Workiva for its collaboration capabilities, which are really effective. The approval workflow and request for information features are particularly useful. I appreciate receiving notifications when a task is ready for review, as it is helpful for providing timely input. The dashboards are also a feature I enjoy.

I find it a bit slow sometimes when uploading information, and occasionally, it just stays there in a loop.

There are a few things that would be nice to haves: ability to see formatting changes on blackline, ability to see where things aren't consistent formatting wise, the ability to do a markup on a locked version while the rest of the team can still work on the live version, the ability to edit out some items in a blackline, more AI, ability to file on SEC and have set margins and not have it grow as the page grows, etc.

The reporting function is problematic, and the roles for user access are too limited/confusing. The testing and workpaper user experience feels clunky, and there are weird workflows and control fields. There are also a lot of random documents created by requests and testing. The interface is not as good as other tools I have used.

I like how Workiva is always evolving and finding new solutions to problems. It's user-friendly, making it easier for us to work with. Tools like the AI function, linking, and Wdata are super valuable to our workspace. Workiva helps solve many data consistency issues and reduces the need for manual calculations and checks.

The reporting features in Workiva seems to be above market competitors. The different product offerings also make it advantageous vs others in the market.

The UI/UX can be hard to get used to at first, specifically having to move through the different experiences depending on what you are looking for.

Workiva is providing a single source of truth for all things internal audit which is great for an internal audit department. The user support has also been helping in dealing with any specific problems to our organization.

I use Workiva for financial reporting, and I like how easy formatting is and how it helps me track versions. It provides solutions that Excel and NetSuite cannot, which makes it very valuable to me. The setup was easy with the help of the setup team.

Syncing with NetSuite is a function that is not explored and should be more easy to use.

I use Workiva for financial reporting, addressing version control issues. It's easy to format and track versions, doing things Excel and NetSuite can't.
