**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like that Workiva is easy to use, and there's a lot of functionality in it. I find the linking feature the most valuable because I just have to put a value in one spot, and it will show everywhere I need it to.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I think there could be better teaching/learning opportunities. I think there is so much that Workiva can do but there are no opportunities to learn about those. Additionally, being able to click to copy and paste would be nice.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva keeps all of the documents in one place, making tie-outs easier. I find it easy to use with a lot of functionality. The linking feature is most valuable because I just enter a value once and it appears everywhere needed.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

What fascinated me most is the way it links the data: everything updates in real time when I make a change. The interface is quite clean, and the platform feels incredibly smooth to use. Thanks to this, it has saved me a lot of manual tasks and hours of work.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The main downside is that the customization options feel very rigid, and the price is extremely high.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using this tool, it was frustrating dealing with so many duplicate files and constantly making mistakes. It helped me centralize everything in one place and set up access control, which has saved me a significant amount of time. Everything runs smoothly now, and I’m able to close everything successfully.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I use Workiva for preparing earnings supplementals and appreciate its functionality, especially from a rollforward process perspective, which makes it seemingly easy. I like how the user interface is really beginner-friendly and easily accessible. All parts of Workiva, whether it's where files are located or where updates can occur, are able to be found with little trouble. The initial setup was fairly easy because my company had already integrated the processes before I joined, so it was easy to pick up. For financial reporting purposes, I believe it's a 9/10, as a majority of clients I know use it.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like that you have control as the user over the information contained in the filings with Workiva. It represents the development in a particular area that was previously provided by printer services. Workiva replaces that service through their reporting and compliance program.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I think that their editing software is proprietary, and that can be a little frustrating because there's less transferability. It's hard to understand what exactly you can do. It's pretty much an in-house tool that's been outward facing. Maybe just some refinement in that area would be helpful to make it more intuitive. Also, there's a high learning curve for Workiva.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva allows us to make timely filings, understand deadlines required by the SEC, and handle related filing and formatting matters.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I use Workiva for Section 16 filings - Forms 3, 4, and 5. The process is simpler now with the newest upgrades. I find it easy to use and the customer support is great. I am able to create filings quickly, and if I have any issues, customer support is there to help.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

One of the upgrades added duplicate holdings which is now a bit of a clean up. It was just a glitch in an upgrade. It would be great if the system could identify the duplicates and remove.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workiva for Section 16 filings, and the process is simpler with the newest upgrades. It's easy to use, and I can create filings quickly with great customer support if issues arise.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like Workiva's smooth and intuitive interface. It effectively supports interconnectivity and collaboration across numerous stakeholders, making the review process of documents—including version control—much easier. Additionally, it helps in the streamlining of internal consistency between documents. The initial setup of Workiva was easy too.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

XBRL validation errors and warnings are often unclear. They do not clearly indicate what is in conflict or how it can be resolved, often requiring reading code. Many of these errors are irrelevant and are ignored, like expected signs for certain concepts. Also, there is a need for standardized/mass formatting options to preset certain table formatting options, such as when comparing income periods or balance sheet dates.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

What I like most is its real-time data linking. With the amount of data we manage and the number of users we have, it’s really helpful to be able to trust and rely on Workiva. I think its mostly user friendly. It was pretty easy for me to start using it on day 1.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Sometimes I find that it lags when needing to edit certain data and links. Also, certain things aren't super intuitive to find, for instance when I need to change the formatting for a release vs. exhibit.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva helps us through the earnings process and proxy process. Definitely allows for us to rely on just 1 source and place for us to update and edit data.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I love Workiva for its real-time collaboration features, which allow multiple team members to work on the same report seamlessly, helping to avoid overwrites. The system also eliminates manual data entry errors by using an automated linking system. During the initial setup, Workiva provided great support, assigning a professional service team to assist with data setup and template creation, which, despite initially taking some time, was definitely worth it for the long-term efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The learning curve can be quite steep for new users because the platform has so many features. Also, the pricing is on the high side, so it might not be the best fit for smaller companies with very simple reporting needs.

I use Workiva for financial reporting, ensuring data consistency and audit readiness. It helps solve version control issues, allowing team collaboration on a single document, and eliminates manual data entry errors through automation.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

It consolidates all of the “junk” from multiple places into one location; so I am no longer running around trying to find all of my files. Templates are okay for the forecast portions. The consolidated feature is better than our old method of doing things. They will respond when something breaks which has been a nice surprise since I was expecting they would completely ignore me.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Data processing speeds are terrible and it takes an eternity to run a template. It takes 18 months for basic updates to occur and that is absolutely ridiculous and very slow. My major complaint with this product is the fact that subline items in the planning section are not displayed in the reporting area.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While my elbow continues to hit the cold coffee mug on my desk at least the month-end closing process is not a complete disaster. We have eliminated a full-time employee because the time spent manually collecting data is gone. For the first time ever, the budget variance is accurate. I never thought that would happen.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like how Workiva's SEC reporting module allows for the timely and accurate filing of 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and financials for various other annual audits. The ability to check and validate information prior to filing is valuable. I appreciate having a work document and spreadsheet working together all in one system, giving us the ability to validate and reconcile financials, and easily check figures and data validation to ensure financials foot and information is accurate.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The only thing that comes to mind is having to refresh the page when Workiva times out or doesn't allow to revert changes that have been made.

Workiva allows timely, accurate SEC filings and validates information. Integrating documents and spreadsheets enhances data validation and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy.

I like the ability to link support and update everything in one spot, which is really convenient for handling financial reporting and SOX certifications. Setting up Workiva was fairly easy, which made the transition smoother.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I find the ability to edit a process and rescind letters sent to certain owners lacking once it has gone live. Also, I wish Workiva's spreadsheets could align with Excel's keyboard shortcuts. Sometimes it would be faster to get things done if the spreadsheet functionalities, like adding a row or column and updating cell references, matched Excel.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workiva for formatting and linking supporting workbooks to financial statements. I like being able to link support and update all in one spot.

I like that the spreadsheets are similar to Excel and can link directly to the document file, which makes them easy to maintain. It’s also straightforward to create milestones, send drafts to internal and external reviewers for feedback and comments, and generate blacklines. Tracking changes is easy as well, so it’s simple to see what has been updated.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Workiva can be slow at times when I’m making changes in the spreadsheet. Because there can be delays in refreshing, I sometimes run into difficulties while working. I also have a hard time dealing with the cell limit.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva is very helpful with preparing financials for internal/external readers. The software helps me prepare financials and track everything in one place.

I like the cleanliness of Workiva's dashboard and how easy it is to navigate the portal. The ability to collaborate with team members within the portal to complete our filings is also something I appreciate. The initial setup of Workiva was very easy overall, and it makes filing each quarter a smooth process with its clear guidelines.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Currently, I don't have any major dislikes about Workiva. However, I think there could be an improvement in increasing the AI functionality overall, which I know will come with time.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like how similar the features of Workiva are to Excel. It is very easy to learn and use day to day. The similarity reduces training time to learn the software and allows me to know where things are when I'm working in a document or spreadsheet. The initial setup was very easy; I just needed to set up with my work email and now have SSO access.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I think sometimes there is a lag when working with large pieces of data or large spreadsheets

Workiva creates efficiencies in the financial reporting process. It's easy to learn and use daily due to its Excel-like features, which reduce training time and help me navigate documents and spreadsheets.

I like the interconnectivity between the spreadsheets and my word document so that I am quickly able to publish links and it will immediately update all the relavant sections.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Given that it is a web interface, the inability to use it offline, such as on a flight. However, I understand the significance of the cloud interface so while it is a feature i would like to have, it's not necessarily a dislike.

I really appreciate Workiva's collaboration features. These features are exceptional because they allow multiple people to work on the same document simultaneously without disrupting each other's workflow, which significantly enhances teamwork and productivity. Additionally, the audio track feature is another aspect I enjoy, as it combines with the collaboration tools to provide complete control and visibility over projects. This ensures that we can efficiently manage our tasks while maintaining clear communication and oversight.

Easy to use and intuitive. The mark-up and attachment functions are great to use with the team for tieout and the ability to integrate the auditors in our access control has been helpful to streamline the audit process.

Sometimes, there are system outages and the pages can become unresponsive, resulting in lost edits or unexpected changes.

It solves the problem of working with multiple teams and team members in a central document while tracking changes and exchanging comments.

Really great for financial reporting - SEC reporting. The ease of formatting is really nice. They are also great for keeping numbers throughout a document consistent and the blackline/tracked changes features are nice.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

Wish there was an easier way to roll forward 10Q 10K documents, but overall happy with the products!

Workiva continues to develop the capacilities of it's platform - within the past year or so, we utilized the upgraded excel add in/sync, which was very helpful

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

Using Workiva for PBC requests instead of email/excel as in previous years has cut down on the time spent by the SOX team significantly. The auto-reminders are super helpful! The team is able to check status every day.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I wish there was an easier way to test key reports. Currently, I have a key reports listing under "documents" in my workspace, but to test them, I have to add them as key controls which is really inefficient and does not provide for easy tracking.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva makes it really easy to keep track of all SOX program deliverables including PBC requests, process flows, testing, and remediation. I love that I can mass upload PBC requests and the tool automatically reminds business process owners, so I'm not having to waste time sending up multiple follow-up emails. 

Since there are minimum sample sizes by control each year, I'm able to set the testing schedule up before testing even begins. It keeps everyone on task.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like that Workiva is easy to use and reliable. The tool's audit trails and document management functions are great, allowing me to document each individual change and see who made it. Communicating changes is really simple. I find it easy for XBRL tagging, and I wouldn't be able to tag XBRL without it.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I find it challenging when it comes to resolving XBRL validation warnings. Sometimes there's not enough context provided, which makes it harder for me to understand and resolve the issues.

I use Workiva for filing SEC documents, and it's indispensable for XBRL tagging. It simplifies document management and tracks changes effectively, making communication easy.

I like Workiva for its ease of use. It's intuitive, simple to operate, and makes efficient use of our time. I also appreciate its ability to allow users to collaborate simultaneously. Plus, it lets me link data across different types of reports and formats, so when a number changes, it automatically updates across all forms, which eliminates the need for copying and pasting.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

Workiva is very user friendly, easy to learn the functionalities. Workiva Support is very helpful when I have questions and need to resolve issues for filing.  The manager we have is also very helpful and consistently keeps us up to date on new functionalities and features.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I think some of the menus when you right click can be easier to use, like 'Remove Links' can be moved into the main menu instead of embedded under Link options. Also, when we delete text, it moves the comment to the beginning of that section so you don't know the original source.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps with our quarterly and annual SEC reporting.

The task creation, review, approval, and coordination between parties semantics works well and is capable.  It is easy to upload files and share.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The UI and UX works but could use some more polish.  Many of the text fields and comments strip out newlines upon submission which makes later reading of those comments more difficult.  Unsure if this is our configuration, but I did run into places where I would have liked to add more comments or metadata (not edit the submission data) but was unable to due to it being in the 'review' state.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration and work tracking between our external auditors and us.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like that Workiva is intuitive and functions like a cloud-based excel. I also appreciate the Workiva Sync functionality. I wish that my firm chose to also purchase the W-Data real-time data refresh package.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

The fact that you do not get all features of Workiva with the basic package that QH has. We do not have W-Data and thus the Workiva Sync is really a glorified copy + paste tool. I also hate that system functionalities are abridged simply because we did not buy the W-Data package - for example, the Find + Replace feature is a one-by-one adjustment rather than being able to select a full page or sheet and have it find / replace everything. This can sometimes take HOURS - what gives?!

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva has stream-lined our close process with the Workiva Sync method. Before, it could take much longer for us to complete and update reporting during financial close. With Workiva, we have nearly cut that time in half. Workiva's Audit module also allow me to stay organized on upcoming due dates, as well as effectively upload all requested materials.

The availability of implementers to uplift the platform based on Workiva seems lacking. There's also a shortage of best practices for implementing Workiva, based on previous implementations and industry standards. The initial setup was difficult due to a lack of expertise on our team to implement the information based on templates provided by Workiva and limited support during the setup.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

I like Workiva for its ability to create a collaborative workflow, allowing me to work with multiple people simultaneously, which is a big improvement over Microsoft Excel where only one person can work at a time. I also appreciate the roll forward feature, which lets us roll forward each month of our data, using the same spreadsheets for subsequent months like February, making it easier to refresh the data and change the months. This functionality is really cool. Additionally, I think the initial setup was pretty smooth.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

I think it would be cool to add pivot tables to Workiva. That's something that is lacking that Microsoft Excel has and Workiva doesn't. It's one thing that keeps us from moving to Workiva completely.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Workiva to work with multiple people at the same time, creating a collaborative workflow that Microsoft Excel doesn't offer.

**What do you like best about Workiva?**

The platform is easy to use and manage. It provides useful tools for various reporting needs. Overall, the platform helps teams collaborate and achieve reporting goals with more ease than other software/platforms. It is quick and easy to learn the general features and tools, and for the more in-depth features there are a multitude of help articles and resources available to refer to. 

Generally, the platform is quick to implement and add depending on the features selected to use (data connections may take more time). It is easy to get assistance when there are questions as each Company is assigned a customer success manager that they can reach out directly to, as well as 24/7 other customer support access.

**What do you dislike about Workiva?**

It is a more expensive platform to use than other reporting solutions. While the customer success teams can be a great source of information and assistance, they are limited on what they can handle, and they tend to be very sales oriented.

**What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workiva allows easy access to permissioning within documents and folders. It also solves many of the version control issues that seem to occur in platforms like Microsoft, even when using Sharepoint.
