**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

It’s very easy to navigate and find the tabs I’m looking for. I also liked the scheduling feature, so I could plan ahead for my job and the events I want to attend.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I had trouble initially getting my account set up and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Workday HCM's support to get in to my account. The support team was very helpful and friendly.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having my schedule on my phone at any time is excellent. It lets me plan even when I’m away from home or my work area. I also really like the organization and structure behind Workday.

it's a simple and user friendly platform that allows employees and employers to easily access HR documents in one place. It also reduces paper waste, which I love

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

the setup can be difficult and require additional assistance. Doing reporting on the back end can also be complicated and require a little bit more of an advanced capability within the app.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allows me to view all of my HR documents in one place rather than bouncing between multiple apps. I can easily access things like PTO or my W2 at the tips of my fingers.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like that everything is located in one spot.  If I need information on my PTO, salary, reimbursement, it's all in one location. I like that the menu navigation is easy to use and easily accessible.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Sometimes it's difficult to determine what my notifications and reminders are for. Sometimes I click on them and then have to keep clicking and clicking to get where I need to go.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think I like the PTO breakdown the best.  It is easy to see how many PTO hours I have used, how many I have left and even how many I will have at a future date.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

The way data is still organized is intuitive to HR professionals, however,  I'm starting to become disillusioned with the product. Over the past few years one of the biggest selling points to me was the value of Community and how Workday took suggestions from Brainstorms and added them to the roadmap for each functional area, and then provided regular Next Level presentations on features as well as release updates for those with certifications. Now, literally all of that is gone/not happening, and it's like Workday has turned everything into a black box in order to maximize shareholder revenue at the expense of the customer.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I dislike the fact that Community no longer has a lot of the historical solutions, Brainstorms are no longer available/visible (seems like an attempt to hide the fact that the roadmaps are no longer driven by customer ideas and the company strategy is shifting to extracting value for shareholders vs. service to customers), there's no longer regular Next Levels or Release Highlights for those with certifications, and a lot of the new items are all hinging on Agentic solutions which have pricing as clear as mud AND are also so far ahead of where most Workday customers are - it is like forcing people to upgrade from a Model T to a Ferrari.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audit trails, forcing us to re evaluate how our business operates so we can define the processes in the system.

I like being able to access insights and take action quickly while keeping employees informed about their professional development opportunities. I also appreciate how payroll management is integrated into one place, making everything easy to access. It's invaluable for a company with over 100,000 employees, as it allows us to keep organized and stay aware of the talent available while ensuring payroll workflows are handled efficiently.

The interface is super intuitive and user friendly, doesn't have a bunch of confusion options showing up at once and everything is easy to find, I literally learned how to use it in a couple days. Also the Slack integration was super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The site was sometimes slow, but I'm not sure if those performance or latency issues were a server thing or something more related to my network, perhaps needs a little optimization.

Personally it helped me manage everything related to the admin side of the job in a easy and straightforward way, also, whenever I needed support I got it super quick

It is well integrated with organization’s identity management, which makes it very easy to setup an account for an individual. In addition, it is a one stop solution for payroll, HR, timeoff management, and everything else

The only part I would dislike is the number of clicks someone has to make in order to perform an action, which makes the user experience not as friendly.

Employee management is one of the most difficult issues, specially handling sensitive data of the employees and managing their payroll and personal information. Workday provides a one-stop solution for all of these issues

I appreciate Workday HCM for its ease of use and navigation, whether I'm an HR manager or an employee applying for internal job postings. The platform's end-to-end functionality for managing human capital is particularly useful. I also value the single platform solution it provides for all HR-related activities, along with delivering data-driven insights.

I think Workday HCM could improve by increasing the usage of AI to better suggest and identify user needs on the platform. Providing data-driven suggestions, flagging pending tasks, and making navigation easier through a chatbot would be helpful.

It performed so well and was easy to use. The price was affordable and the onboarding was easy.  The support responds well. and in a very timely fashion

There was nothing that I disliked.  It fit great with what I needed and still is working very well for me . I cant think of any issues ive had. or dislikes

It does all my payroll and things and keeps a record of it so I dont have to.  That is fewer headaches I have to worry about while I'm busy. I can work with a lot of less stress

As a candidate the dashboard and navigation oin the portal is simple, but effective.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The worst candidate engagement system i have encountered across the last 6 months seeking employment. Multiple accounts across different roles, horrible parsing, integration with platforms is clunky, and just doesn't work. The amount of times i've uploaded my resume and then had to build out another one on the platform to apply for a role is considerable, wasting a lot of time. 

The delete function on an application only works sometimes.

I find Workday HCM to be a great tool for putting PTO and checking points for team members. My favorite feature is the search bar that brings you to the right place you need. For example, if I need an employee's info, I just type the name, and a list with pictures helps me identify the correct team member. I also appreciated that the setup was quick and easy.

As of now i'm very happy with the program

I use Workday HCM to manage PTO and track team member points. It solves the problem of finding start dates and accumulated points. The search bar helps me quickly access employee info, with pictures aiding identification.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I appreciate how Workday HCM serves as our system of record for employee data, effectively managing the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire. It supports core HR processes like job and org management, compensation, performance, and reporting. The platform provides consistent, trusted data for workforce insights and decision-making. We've been able to consolidate our data from different platforms into Workday HCM and perform reporting efficiently. I also find the UX relatively easy to pick up on without much training. Workday's security model is robust, allowing us to enforce strict controls to ensure data is only accessible to those authorized to see it.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I would love to see a UI refresh.  There's too many clicks to navigate anywhere at the moment.

Workday HCM consolidates our data from multiple platforms for centralized reporting. It manages the full employee lifecycle, supports core HR processes, and provides trusted data for decision-making. The easy-to-use UX and robust security model also ensure effective data control.

This is one of the most robust systems I’ve worked with. The ability to customize it to match your internal processes is a major plus. As you become more familiar with the system, you can build a well-developed ecosystem of processes and integrations that makes the HR Operations experience much more seamless.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It can be a bit overwhelming for those who are new to the system. With so many options available, it’s easy for new customers to miss the value that’s right at their fingertips or to feel unsure about where to start. There are also areas of functionality within Workday that don’t feel as flexible or as intuitive as they could be, such as generating letters or other documents as part of a severance package. Another downside was the removal of a shared customer tenant for exploring new features and functionality. That change reduced the ability to test new functionality or configuration ideas in a collective space with other customers, without needing to pay for additional support and services.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps with automating processes and creating consistency across the organization. It provides a single system of truth, which supports data integrity and reduces human error. I also value the centralization of data and processes, along with the automation and connectivity between systems.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I really value Workday HCM's vast capabilities and tools available to us depending on the use case, like Prism, discovery boards, calculated fields, composite reports, worksheets, and integrations. These features help us cleanse and transform the data as we need it based on each use case, allowing us to combine unrelated and sometimes external data to give our business a comprehensive view of all data that matters most. It also improves the end-user experience by being able to transform data and deliver it all in a single solution. Additionally, Workday HCM has eliminated the need for third-party external analytics tools and allows us to gain deeper insights by pulling from the appropriate business objects within the system.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I find the analytics visualizations and capabilities a bit clunky for end users compared to other sophisticated analytics tools. Performance is a huge issue, especially when getting into nested calculated fields, as it severely impacts performance. Load times are hard for end users, particularly with segmented security groups. There are also dashboard page limitations to the number of worklets, and I have issues with labels on bar charts in matrix reports and rounding percentages in worksheets charts. I also miss the 'Slides' feature as it was powerful to have live data in a presentation format that leaders and HRBPs could download.

Workday HCM keeps all data in a single source of truth, catching data governance issues, and meeting stakeholder needs with precise data. It eliminated third-party analytics tools, providing deeper insights. It also combines and transforms data, enhancing end-user experience with a comprehensive view.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

I like how configurable Workday HCM is, allowing us to customize it exactly to what our users need. As our business grows and we add additional units, we've been able to configure our business processes to meet the unique needs of that unit.   I also really like the Workday Support Plan Subscription and highly recommend for those with small teams.  WSP has allowed our team to solve problems faster and learn while doing so.  Definitely a plus!

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Our biggest challenge has been in the area of time tracking. We have a lot of unique needs being in the healthcare industry, and there still are some areas where Workday Scheduling and Time Tracking are lacking.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workday HCM has allowed us to standardize our business processes and keep all approvals in one location.  Prior to Workday, employees all had unique processes and kept approval documentation in emails and on SharePoint.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday offers outstanding functionality, truly streamlining my daily work experience. All essential operations—HR, payroll, IT support, and accounts receivable—are conveniently centralized within a single platform. I find the interface intuitive and appreciate how customizable it is. One feature I value in particular is the ability to control access for each user individually. The automated workflows also simplify routine tasks that would otherwise be time-consuming, greatly improving overall efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The system is easy to navigate, true. However, I feel there is room for increased product efficiency as the number of "clicks" seems excessive for relatively simple procedures. I also have experienced some "page redirecting", for example, I edit an invoice, I reprint the invoice to display the updated data. Upon completion of "Print Run", and clicking "Ok", I am then redirected to a previously visited Workday record. I am then required to navigate back to the original record of which I re-printed. More clicks!!

It's helping me manage all of the HR and pay minutia that takes up my valuable time as an employee and human! Through its automation, Workday has freed up some much space to focus on what my primary role is at my company.

I appreciate how Workday HCM brings together HR, payroll, and talent management within a single platform. Its intuitive interface and real-time analytics have made it much simpler to manage employee data and monitor performance. The high level of configurability also means we can tailor the system to fit our processes without needing extensive IT assistance.

Workday HCM can be challenging to configure, particularly when it comes to setting up custom workflows. Creating some reports can also be time-consuming, and a few features are not as intuitive as I would like, which may make it harder for new users to get started quickly.

Workday HCM enables us to bring together all our HR, payroll, and talent management activities within a single platform. This has addressed challenges such as manual data entry, scattered employee information, and the absence of real-time insights. Whenever I’m assigned a task or training, it keeps sending daily notifications even though the due date hasn’t passed yet. Then, when I go in to complete it, I find many repeated notifications for the same task.

Sometimes links are buried deep within the portal and it is not always easy to find.  One has to dig deep to find them, and unless a user uses those links on a regular basis, it is easy to forget how to find or access them.

Workday helps to clear up issues surrounding time-off that has been used, or will need to be used by the end of a fiscal year.  Also, it tracks the history of expenses in the event that one needs to be reimbursed.

Although the reporting is powerful, doing table joins to get data to flow into the report is a pain. Tou have to do essentially vlookups to gather data from one source into another.
