I love how Workday makes managing HR and finances super easy and efficient.

Sometimes feels a bit slow.
And initially found bit complicated to use, but not now.

It solves all problems related managing employee info and also payroll. It makes my task easier.

What I love most about Workday is its user-friendly interface. It's incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes managing tasks and accessing important information a breeze. Plus, the mobile app allows me to stay connected and productive on the go. Workday truly simplifies my work life!

one minor drawback is that sometimes it can take a bit longer to load large datasets or reports. However, this doesn't significantly impact my overall experience with the platform.

Tracking off applicants and ease of use. Lots of intergrations availble as well!

Sometime I did face server issues, and it would take forever to load.

Being able to consoldate all incoming candidate pools and manage it without having to using mulitple platforms.

The interface is as good on the mobile app as the web app. 

Increased transparency about team leaves 

Covers leaves, expenses, pay, etc all in one.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Nothing really, the platform is pretty exhaustive in terms of raising internal requests, internal announcements, suggestions, etc.

It's easiest to track expenses and pay outs
I'm able to raise requests and receive approvals in a few clicks 
There is a directory I can access for transparency among teammates

The payroll section is a little convoluted

It's makes it easay to add vacation and sick time at work and to track it as well. It's also very easy to look up my paystubs.

The only thing I can think of is that it rarely (if ever) crashes or is off-line.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Doing something seemingly simple is either VERY difficult to figure out or impossible.  For instance, changing the hours on a previously approved vacation time is something I don't thinnk there is a way to do (if there is, i have never been able to figure it out) so I have to cancel the previous request and then re-enter a new one to change the time.  Adusting the time on a Vacation request SHOULD be a simple task.  I could go on and on listing multiple examples like this where the system is next to impossible to figure out.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can think of nothing, zero, nada problem(s) that Workday is solving.  They are causing me problems, not solving any.  So therefore, there is no benefit from the lack of problems they are solving.

Look & Feel of the website/portal can be enhanced. Better integration with HP intranet could be another improvement area.

It is one stop solution for multiple things like - Appraisal, Performance, Leaves, Compensation etc. Very helpful

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday is prudent great for HR professionals. 

I love the org chart functionality. 

The mobile app is better than the entire desktop offering. 

My love stops there.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The UI is TERRIBLE.  Needs a major overhaul.  So many extra clicks to do and see simple information. 

Expenses and Expense Reports will drive you to therapy. It takes an hour to do a simple expense report for a 2 day trip because the UI is so bad. So many extra clicks and dropdowns. 

And no "new expense" button like the app, so you end up over-writing existing expenses. 

The experience is so awful I don't have the energy to type more out. 

If I had one favor to burn with our executive team, I'd ask them to drop Workday and save us hundreds of hours collectively.

It is very intuitive and easy to use.  The integration with Pay Factors is seamless and automatic. Our integration occurs on a weeklly basis. PayFactors was very helpful when we had an issue with our integration.

There isn't really anything I dislike except maybe it isn't easy to customize

We used Workday to administer our merit increases to his year and it was very easy for our management to enter the increases and the system to calculate the new rates.

It gives information to the user and see if there is an improvement. Or it also helps us to check if there is anything that we need to do on our task as an employee. It makes our life easy

Sometimes it has downtime but maybe that is because of the system maintenance

Easy to request time off, easy to see how much there is, and als makes it very easy to report expenses.

I wish it provided a way to report that something is missing like: in this case: I want to expense something, but the cost center is not there, let me flag it to my organization

When you need to ask for time off it's so much easir to file it in and have your manager review it, instead of asking about it on a DM or something, it streamlines the process.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday is really designed to make anything you need to do possible, if you understand the system and it's possible configurations. I love that workday allows you to look into the history of business processes and to augment those processes as well. Workday is the best tool for HR and this comes after many years of working with ADP.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

I think the candidate process for recruitment can be to lengthy. I love the resources workday has for learning but wished they offered more configuration training.

Workday is able to update and release software after sandbox testing. I love that I can make tests and see outcomes in sandbox and then tailor processes. Workday solves a lot of problems by being accessible to employees and delivering them messages about tasks they need to perform..

I feel Workday is fantastic and user friendly HRIS tool and best feature about it is you customise  and automate reports in it as per your requirement.

Over all my experience is positive but creating reports can be very difficult for new users with any technical training.

It is very helpful to keep your employees records and easy to navigate due to which employees can update there required information easily without any training.

Easy to access benefits, easy to change benefits, easy to access payroll information.
There is a true partnership between the client and Workday. They want to see us succeed with the application and partner with us when we have a concern or issue. They are also proactively pulling us into to design committees to help inform the product moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Can be a little clunky finding certain documents, takes a while to generate docs, peer reviews need work.
It does take significant time to bring someone up to speed on becoming a master Workday Report Writer. The approach used is very specific to Workday and not similar to other reporting platforms so it takes time to bring people up to speed.

Increase hiring speed and quality by quickly sourcing and recruiting the right candidates.
Increase engagement with work-life solutions that help motivate employees and deliver a superior employee experience.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Workday takes a comprehensive approach to HCM, leading to a streamlined HR workflow. Workday manages employee check-ins and reviews while also making PTO and payroll easy to track, request, and manage. This system is beneficial for recruiting teams as well as the HR functions, making all talent tracking, hiring, and payroll simple. Workday also is capable of supporting businesses both big and small.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

There is a lot to learn when you first use Workday. With the amount of features, you may feel like you'll never fully understand the system. I also find that when someone gets stuck, it's not as easy to figure it out on their own. It's definitely worth taking the time to learn. 

Some automated integrations run slow, without a way to have the system run more often.

Workday improves efficiency through automation, data management, information storage, and providing a platform that welcomes collaboration. Accessing employee information across departments is easy with Workday.

Organization Charts, it's easy to look up org charts. Other than that, I do not find Workday useful.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It's tedious, too many steps to complete simple tasks. it's not user friendly.  Not easy to process new hires.Not easy for hiring manager to create requisitions and too many steps for one task.

I'm not sure what problem it's solving for Recruiting.

**What do you like best about Workday HCM?**

Easy to use for HR self-service tasks if I'm an employee. Time off requests, etc, are a breeze and I find it quite easy to look things up, make corrections, and access my personal information.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

As an administrator, it is a bear. To be fair, I work at a university and we have to use it for temp, staff, and academic hiring, which all operate quite differently, but still. I make some sort of error every time I try to do a major task, but oftentimes those errors are due to the system's myriad invisible and arbitrary tripwires.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's our system for HR and payroll and saving lots of other personnel-related information. Workday solves the problem of how to help employees manage their HR choices and get them paid, so...that's obviously a hige benefit.

it is intuitive, easy to use, self explanatory, multilanguage, customer focused, accessable everywhere and anywhere, etc.

In certain situations, the system flexibility is limited and clients have no other options but to improve local processes in order to use the system functionality.

It is a very good client usage response, for employees self-intutitive, and for clients market driven solutions and processes using the latest trends in innovation.

Workday is an excellent portal for managing employees' data. It offers payroll, applicants tracking, employees' performance etc. It is helpful to assign tasks to the team and can track employees' achievements. This is very beneficial to manage and track employees' activities. It makes work easy if your organization has too many employees.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

This is an excellent tool for all things related to HR, but also a complex tool and hard to understand. To operate this tool, we need proper training. But once you learn, you will find it a wonderful tool.

Workday is a problem-solving portal for managing employees' data. It makes my work easy to perform my everydays HR activity.

The best about workday is its data security with encryption that secure the employee data. It tracks the employee data that includes time tracking, payroll, leave requests and approvals.

I don't dislike anything in this software.

It solves the issue of tracking the time correctly and manage all the employee health benefits that other softwares are not providing.

It's fairly user friendly, runs in the browser and is quite stable. It also gets regular updates. Works well with our current SSO provider which is Okta. Tech savvy users are able to use it quite well.

It's very very pricey, so not the best solution if you're small. It has limited customization options, and sometimes you run into some performance issues. For non-tech users, the UI is somewhat complex.

The org structure chart and ability to search people quickly and look at their peers, reports and management is really useful.  Have a clear task list in the actions panel is really helpful too, particularly when there is a large team to manage and lots of competing priorities.

Navigating Workday to achieve simple tasks like viewing accurate time off balances for a team can be far more difficult than anticpated and whilst reporting appears quite powerful, getting to the right report and the expected output can involve a lot of clicking about.

Once those hurdles are past though, I would say it's decent at best.  It does attempt to be very user friendly and the time off request interface is great. Being able to customize what you look at most is also nice.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

Transitioning to Workday has not been smooth, many missed checks or lost vacation.  It can be difficult to locate basic HR needs like updating taxes. I don't like the paycheck layout. I don't like that it does not calculate when vacation rolls over so it become difficult to plan far out in advance.

It makes requests off better than previous systems and easier to track.  It also helps to manage and track goals or performance objectives. I appreciate the ability to organize thoughts in the goals section.

I wish that workday would be able to have different dynamic displays of information. For instance, when comparing paystubs over an extended period of time. Or knowing how much I've contributed to my 401k and roth 401k combined.

Workday is a complex tool, and I went through a steep learning curve to navigate the platform. Finding candidate information on the search bar has too many unnecessary clicks, which can easily be streamlined in the software. Compared to other ATS systems, Workday is more expensive as well.

I like that it is fairly easy to use when entering time for the day or requesting time off/absences. The way it rounds for overtime is also much better and more accurate than our last system.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

The navigation on the front page takes a little bit of getting used to. Pages within Workday are called "apps", which is a little confusing. You have you time 'app', your absence 'app', your employee information 'app'. I still haven't figured out a smooth work flow.

Workday allowed out company to take multiple websites/accounts and streamline them into one. We used to have one website to login to for employee information, another for time tracking, and another for time off requests. We can now complete/access all three through Workday.

I like that you can see the exact time stamps for each of the hiring process steps taken by the applicant. I also like that you can attach files and it has default categories for different types of files.

I don't really know what I didn't fine appealing. It did the job of tracking the application progress. Maybe you can improve the indexing or how to find a candidate's name. Sometimes it's duplicated a lot of times.

Tracking the progress of an applicant is sometimes a tedious job that Workday is helping me solve. For sure, yes! More productive with it. I don't really have anything else to compare it with as I was a first-time user and HR Associate 3 years ago when I used it.

There is as such nothing to dislike about workday, but some notifications doesn't come through mail, so we were unaware about the notification. We need to login to Workday to see if any notification came or not.

From Workday I can apply leave and can see what is my leave balance as of a particular time period. I can refer candidates in my current organisation. I have the visibility on my compensation break up.

I like it the most is it's power features which we can configure based on our own needs. For example, we have over a hundred work locations where some staff's compensation metrics are based on their work location. Workday provides a compensation default option to make that happen and we don't have to key in those metrics one by one.

**What do you dislike about Workday HCM?**

It's too US focused; many of the features are designed based on US needs and don't consider HR culture and practices in non-US countries. To make it follow our own needs, we need to spend quite a huge effort on customisation.

**What problems is Workday HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our case, we traditionally have a separate job application system and an HRMS system. The integration between these two creates quite a lot of issues. Since Workday provide both ATS and HRMS, it benefits us by aligning the flow and slove our integration issues.
