"Seamless Integration, Needs UI Refinements"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I find Workday Financial Management to be a transformative force for our team due to its seamless integration, especially with StoreForce. The shift to Workday has created a real-time financial ecosystem, eliminating manual data entry lag and automating processes like weekly accruals and labor costs. This integration helps streamline workflows and provides a unified financial source of truth. Additionally, the UI interface is interactive and friendly, making it easy to switch to Workday for a swift workflow. I was particularly impressed with the quick payroll processing compared to our previous system, significantly improving efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Workday primarily has drawbacks with a heavy UI and vague error messaging. This often leads to troubleshooting StoreForce integration failures frequently, forcing team members into manual Excel workarounds for quick reconciliations. These system gaps disrupt flow by creating bottlenecks. Vague integration errors force the team into investigation mode, stalling regular processing. The lack of a quick math UI necessitates manual Excel efforts, doubling the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI and Real-Time Reporting That Streamline Financial Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

What I like most about Workday Financial Management is its intuitive user interface and real-time reporting capabilities. It provides a unified platform that integrates financial data across functions, improving visibility and decision-making. The automation of routine processes like journal entries and approvals saves time and reduces errors. Additionally, its cloud-based architecture ensures easy access, scalability, and regular updates without heavy maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

One downside of Workday Financial Management is that its initial implementation and configuration can be complex and time-consuming, especially for organizations with unique requirements. The reporting and customization capabilities, while powerful, often require advanced knowledge, which can create a learning curve for new users. Additionally, certain processes may feel less flexible compared to legacy systems, and troubleshooting issues can sometimes depend heavily on support or consultants. "Real-Time Insights and Flexible Low/No-Code Customization in Workday"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

Users love that data, events, and notifications are all real time, with controls built in. They also appreciate the discovery boards, which let them easily create reports and visualizations tailored to their individual needs. Less frequent users like that Workday meets them where they are by plugging into Microsoft Teams, along with support through the mobile app.

IT teams love that Workday is a low/no-code platform, making configuration and customization straightforward for their customers. Workday Extend builds on these capabilities, allowing organizations to create custom apps and functionality that look and feel native to Workday by using the same GUI, data, and security model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Implementation is complicated, time consuming, and expensive (Organizations should not attempt this without an implementation partner). Post-implementation, it is difficult and painful to adapt Workday to large organizational changes or transformations. This requires FDM (foundational data model) changes which impact reporting and metrics and often require large security model changes as well. There is also a steep learning curve for IT; this often requires hiring new staff and external service providers. Reporting, although robust and powerful, also requires deep expertise or outside help.

Users must switch to using Workday's terminology. For example, Workday is looking for the keyword Supplier, not Vendor. It would be nice if Workday's AI could recognize these as the similar and return results people are looking for. You can customize what results are returned for specific searches, but this requires monitoring and can be time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive and Modern ERP Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I appreciate that Workday Financial Management has multiple different features that are all very useful. I like being able to review my payments to make sure everything is correct, and I can also check how much time off I have left and see my employment information. It's really convenient to have access to the information at any time to ensure accuracy. Accessing payroll information helps me understand my wage and create a budget, which is important for me. Plus, Workday Financial Management feels more modern compared to other ERP systems I've used, and it integrates different solutions into one, which seems better than having multiple products for the same tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Some workflows feel unintuitive. Drilling down payroll details and switching between budget views can take more clicks than expected. Accessing the Workday courses can be tricky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Financial Management with Real-Time Analytics"
4/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I like that Workday Financial Management brings financial data, reporting, and business processes together under one roof. The real-time reporting and analytics capabilities provide better visibility into financial performance, and the intuitive dashboard makes it easier to access key information. I also appreciate the workflow automation features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Some areas can be improved as advanced configuration may need a steep learning curve and additional training. Performance also slows down during working with large datasets. It also needs some out-of-the-box integrations for more flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Processes and Real-Time Financial Insights with Workday"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

Streamlined processes, real-time financial insights Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

Rolling it out can be time-consuming and costly, especially for large organizations with legacy systems.

Also, while the interface looks modern, it takes a lot of training for finance teams to feel comfortable with advanced functions.

Further, customization options aren’t as deep as some older ERP platforms, so companies often have to adapt their processes to fit Workday rather than the other way around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient All-in-One Financial Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

I highly rate Workday Financial Management for being an all-in-one system for all people and payroll processes. It replaces multiple systems holding different versions of data and helps me work more efficiently. I appreciate its all-in-one integrated system, which is simple and easy to adopt. Additionally, I value the 'My Organogram' feature as it helps me communicate with people I haven't met but know are working in the company. The initial setup was very easy and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

The 'Showcase Your Best Self' feature might need further improvement. I feel that when I provide information about myself, it's not correctly communicated to others. There should be better push communication within the organization, like when I complete a training and update my profile, it should be shared in some way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workday’s Unified Architecture Powers Scalable, Real-Time Finance Transformation"
5/5
What do you like best about Workday Financial Management?

As a Financial Systems leader, what I value most is Workday’s unified architecture. It eliminates data silos and allows us to design scalable, end‑to‑end financial processes across the organization. The platform’s real‑time analytics, strong governance model, and capabilities make it a strategic asset for transforming finance operations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workday Financial Management?

What I dislike most is that Workday still has room to mature in its Account Reconciliation and Bank Statement Reconciliation capabilities. The native tools don’t fully support more complex reconciliation scenarios, and the processes often require manual steps or workarounds. Enhancing automation, matching rules, and workflow in these areas would bring Workday closer to being an end‑to‑end financial close solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
