From Firewall Protection, Malware Scanning, Security Alerts like login attempts, themes and Pugins updates. Wordfence checks the security threats when it comes to website. Centralized Dashboard helps to monitor all traffic trends, any recent attackss, and Security threat information. If you are buying Wordpress themes or plugins from unknown sellers workfence can check through the plugins for any threats, and URL's as well. I can add a range of IP's that brings needless traffic to my website and stop spammy ips to visit my website. Its easy to download a free version or paid version for additional features.

There is nothing much to unlike. It pretty much provides all the safety measures that is required for a website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am still trying to figure that part out. Stay tuned, I suppose. My interactions with WordFence thus far have been subpar at best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customer support is atrocious! Save yourself the headache and find a more responsive and reputible outfit for security. 2FA seems to work out just fine without the hassle of WordFence kicking you out/blocking you from accessing you site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. It protects wordpress website from attacks.
2. It emails if there is vunurability on the website, so that it can be quickly resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some things likee geo-bloacking is much more advanced in other plugins such as solid security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Wordfence offers many features such as IP Blocking and brute Force Protection, and the best one I like is the automatic virus scanning at different intervals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no such thing I dislike about WordFence. Unethical Hackers who try to break into websites may dislike it though :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wordfence keeps my wordpress sites safe from the relentless malicious actions of bad actors - for FREE! Additionally I liove that I can use Wordfence Central to manage site securtity of ALL my wordpress sites in one place, also for FREE! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free version gets new warnings after a slight delay compared to the pay versions, apart from that - the protection is about the same and that's what counts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Always being on the front end of the security wave and early access to patches Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, absolutely nothing but if I have to say something - it would be cost as a non profit Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing. All the negative things outweigh any positives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It randomly blocks people in our own marketing department from accessing the website. We are onsite, so the IP isn't changing. The majority of the time it will block us without even asking for a password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The setting up for the wordfence is super easy, and the features in the plugin helps in securing the website is very reliable for any kind of website designing users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe there should be a feature for the no of time locked out to be more than 2months, and there should also be an option to hide the WordPress admin login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to track Security-related Live Traffic & block IPs when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Technical support isn't reliable or timely. I doubt if the Technical Support staff fully understand the Wordfence product themselves! A recent example: I sold an item on my online website; however, Wordfence did not record the visit. I needed to confirm that the purchase was legitimate before shipping the item. (A primary reason for using Wordfence) I contacted Technical Support, who advised that even though the Wordfence setting was for Security Traffic Only (the recommended default), I could switch to All Traffic to see the recorded visit. There was no recorded visit. Technical Support then explained that "If you're not seeing the Traffic there, then that IP or user must never be actually visiting the site. The Live Traffic will log anything that touches the site." Well, the fact of the matter is that I did have a visitor who purchased and paid for an item, yet Wordfence did not record the visit. Technical Support then asked for a diagnostic report which I sent. Not receiving a response, I followed up twice only to receive "Everything that hits the site should show on the Live Traffic page. I wonder if that user in Germany was using a VPN when they purchased to mask their location, as a lot of people do. You could test to make sure it's working by doing the same with a VPN and see if those IPs show up." I conducted several tests (with and without a VPN) and found that when the All Traffic setting is "on" ALL visits are recorded. If I toggle to the Security Only setting, only Security Only visits are registered. However, toggling to All Traffic after being in the Security Only mode didn't record the Live Traffic visits when the Security Only toggle was on. I forwarded my findings to Technical Support, suggesting that there may be a system glitch. I asked if the All Traffic setting should perhaps be the recommended default setting until the issue is resolved or better understood. I received this response: "You could leave on All Traffic but it might increase database load, depending on how much traffic your site does see." The response failed to answer the question. I initiated this support ticket on January 28, 2022. Since then, I did receive payment for the online purchase on my website, and the item was shipped and received in Germany two weeks ago. The human visit did occur, but Wordfence did not record it. I find this troubling and have concerns about the plug-in integrity. The Wordfence Technical Support Ticket remains open and unanswered. Having a Premium Wordfence subscription for several years, I hoped for better communication and product support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The marketing was excellent. It convinced me they had everything I needed to solve my problem. The initial set up was great too. They made it easy to install and do the initial process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything else. The audit was an obvious copy and paste with a couple of key changes in the pronouns. The scan never worked. The worst was customer service. The Automated email response was reassuring and then there was nothing for a day or two. Then someone was assigned to us and they all but disappeared for 5 days. Then another person was assigned with an apology. They did nothing.
We paid US$490 (just under US fraud limits) for a service that doesn't work and doesn't respond. I currently have 4 tickets in for review, the oldest being 3 weeks old. It is "Being Processed."
