What do you like best about WoodWing Assets?

Swivle is the perfect solution for my digital asset management in my company. It's a platform where you can quickly navigate, and the power and speed with which I can access and retrieve images are fantastic. The plugin for seamless integration with Adobe InDesign software is also an indispensable tool that I wouldn't want to miss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WoodWing Assets?

When starting with a Digital Asset Management system, it can be time-consuming to add the necessary metadata to documents and images. However, the more time you invest in this process, the quicker and more efficient the return will be later on. What do you dislike about WoodWing Assets?

Recommendations to others considering WoodWing Assets:

If like us, our content (all digital) was exploding and trying to keep a grip on exactly where every file/document/image/contract was, became a challenge. We implemented WoodWIng Assets, did the bulk import and now, what used to take a couple of minutes, maybe even 10-15min looking for that digital content, is now almost instantaneous.

Everything is stored, managed, and shared from our SIngle Source of Truth. The one place we keep everything in, even all confidential documents as its highly secure and with detailed and granular permissions on users and groups, only the right people ever see the content they allowed to! What problems is WoodWing Assets solving and how is that benefiting you?

Finding all your content, quickly and easily, but super quickly and super easily.

Sharing large files with both internal and external users is incredibly powerful, as you can set the actual download presets.

We can manage every single version of all content, and we know which is the most recent and current version without having to open the files.

Metadata has allowed us to keep track of expiration dates on contracts.

We can keep track of the actual usage of our marketing assets.

We store all our legal and contractual agreements, and we have full details on exactly who changed what, and when. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WoodWing Assets?

Compared to other asset management apps, Swivle offers a clean, crisp interface, simple to learn and use, without any additional weight of various rarely used features. The Collections feature is great, which allows to create collections of assets, like a playlist in Spotify, without having to duplicate them. Along with the History feature, you only have to assign meta data to an asset once, and it can sort of "live" in a multiple places. Uploading and downloading is a breeze, and the Check Out feature, coupled with the Swivle browser Agent, can be incredibly useful. Also the amount of storage to price, compared to other competitors is pretty great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WoodWing Assets?

There is no way to add custom metadata. Their built-in fields are pretty robust, over 400 fields available, but if I wanted to add a custom field, I can't. The mobile app is pretty simple and great, but you cannot upload through it. The browser version of Swivle is not very mobile-friendly either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WoodWing Assets:

If you've been shopping around for other DAMs, you may have noticed they are very expensive and offer a bunch of stuff you don't need. Swivle seemed to have the best bang for the buck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WoodWing Assets solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've gotten our assets so much more organized, rather than using a typical cloud file service, and having it sync massive files to dozens of computers. This has also allowed us to create a much better asset sharing experience for outside parties, agencies, etc via the Portals feature. All around a great experience. What do you like best about WoodWing Assets?

Elvis allows my team to collaborate on designs and lets us keep track of what publications the assets was used in. Simple user interface with the ability to share with outside clients for image approvals, comments, and allows you to set a time limit on how long you want to share a link to assets. Drag and drop upload with batch tagging is good feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WoodWing Assets?

When creating keywords, there isn't way to edit or delete keyword tags that was created. Video previews are only for the first 10 mins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WoodWing Assets:

It helps to have someone dedicated to uploading and cataloging images to save designers time when searching keywords. Don't just use words that only your team can understand but anyone that will need to access and search for images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WoodWing Assets solving and how is that benefiting you?

The design team had a problem with assets that was being stored/linked to another designer desktop. With Elvis we no longer have that as a issue and everyone has access to assets because they are now stored in one location and is able to link/drag and drop assets in to adobe software. What do you like best about WoodWing Assets?

It's hard to say you need a DAM until you find yourself drowning in a tsunami of digital assets. Elvis make easy, in no time and with an almost flat learning curve to get back in control of what you have and what you can use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
