I use Wistia for webinars and to create video content for our website and LinkedIn. I can repurpose videos in different ways with a simple workflow, edit them in the browser, add branding, and improve the audio. It’s easy to use and lets me handle a lot myself. I like the editing tools most because I can produce videos quickly without relying on a lot of other people. The tools are simple and intuitive, with plenty of options, and the marketing team can add a brand kit so I stick to brand guidelines. Connecting Wistia to HubSpot is great for collecting registration information and sending it directly to the CRM. The initial setup was very simple, and I’d have no hesitation recommending Wistia. I have a few little irks. I find the speaker library all too often creates duplicate speakers. The webinar time is sometimes a little difficult to use, and it’s too easy to create a webinar at the wrong time. A bit of AI could help with creating one. I’d also like website templates. Primarily, we have really benefitted from the robust API that Wistia provides. We have been able to build our video service around the functionality that it provides. One of the best features for me is the ability to swap out videos without having to upload a new instance and have a new link, which is really helpful when our content is updated. The chaptering features and call to action options are great, as well as being able to add pop-up links during a video. I always have issues choosing the date range in the analytics features. That's the biggest pain point for me because if I don't want to use any of the set dates that Wistia has, like past 30 days or past 7 days, and I want something specific like just the month of September or August, it can be a bit of a pain to try and select those since it never seems to work properly for me. The platform is very intuitive and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to navigate and use. The native integrations are particularly impressive, providing a seamless user experience and reducing the need for manual intervention across multiple teams.

Wistia’s AI capabilities also add significant value by offering a wide range of features that help streamline workflows and minimise the involvement of multiple teams. Overall, my experience with Wistia has been very positive. One area that could be improved is providing greater visibility into potential domain, firewall, and security restrictions that may impact webinar attendees, particularly those joining from enterprise environments. Identifying these issues earlier could help prevent last-minute access challenges and reduce dependency on IT teams. I like that Wistia is very easy to use and offers tons of customization features. We can add our logo and customize player colors, which is really great as our brand evolves. The online editor is a standout feature, allowing us to do simple video edits without relying on Adobe Premiere, which saves us money. The customization even extends to player controls, giving us flexibility for different use cases. I also like the form feature, which was something other video hosting providers lacked. I think Wistia's integration features with Salesforce could be improved. We use Salesforce Marketing Cloud for sending automated emails, but right now, we have to post them to a webhook and send them over to Marketing Cloud, which processes it and then sends it to Sales Cloud. It would be fantastic to have a native integration. The current process could be simplified, and having that integration with Salesforce would make our workflows a lot easier. I love using Wistia because it offers a centralized place to run events, making everything very easy to manage. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, which makes running live webinars simple and error-free. I appreciate the custom features that allow branding to shine at our events. I would like to see separate tracks for the speaker or speakers and the screen-sharing track. Having separate tracks would allow me to do custom edits externally on a dedicated video editing software. It would be great if Wistia could also include editing features that are more tailored towards custom tracks. It's something similar to what Riverside offers. Although Riverside is not very stable and not reliable, its editing features are really useful. If Wistia could mimic some of those features, it would be perfect. I like Wistia a lot for its webinar hosting features. It's great that it includes everything from the registration page to hosting, recording, emails, reminders, and a recap. I enjoy the post and pre-webinar emails that are part of the package. One of the standout features for me is how Wistia connects to HubSpot—it creates an email list that updates automatically, which is helpful. This connection with HubSpot and Claude makes it easier to use and gives me visibility across platforms without needing to switch between them. I think the webinar emails could be improved with more customizations. It would be great if they could look more on brand and have the copy be more on brand, especially for the recap. Wistia is very smooth to use, very user-friendly. I'm using it mostly for hosting the webinars and after each webinar, I get great data afterward that helps me to evaluate the performance. Some things while hosting the webinar could be improved/added, such as an opportunity to vote for the questions in the Q&A section, add multiple CTAs in the backend and the play them once it needs to be played. I like that Wistia is easy to use and helps us unify our video content. I can use the social post editor to make clips and snippets for other channels. Our external guests are comfortable using it, which makes going live a smooth experience. I find the social post editor rigid. I can’t move the speaker windows or adjust the aspect ratio crop in a way that looks visually appealing, and it’s annoying. I’d like to move the speaker windows and screen around within the video using drag and drop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy it is to upload videos and quickly get video link that I can use on our landing pages. I also like how I can do basic edits like cutting and trimming the video, adjusting volume, and adding clips from the library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The video editing experience could be improved. The left side bar keeps opening when I'm editing and I wish I could zoom in more on the timeline for more precise editing. Also when playing a video, the play/pause button and timestamp disappear after awhile. I'd prefer they stay visible so I can easily track the timestamp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
