We were looking for a serious business-focused alternative to Brightcove, for which we were paying about $1800/month. I stumbled across Wistia, loved their clean, no-nonsense interface, signed up and our cost dropped to about $1200/YEAR (vs $1800/month) at the time. Very reliable, super-fast hosting. Way faster than Vimeo, which is almost painful to watch at times when not on a super-high speed connection. Problems, issues? Wistia is just an email or phone call away. And you get to talk with a nice person in Boston, not a robot or someone in a third world country. One of my favorite things is their "Wistiapedia" (my term) knowledge base of blog posts and tutorial videos explaining methods, gear, lighting setups... all geared toward helping real people with real needs and real budget constraints grow their businesses. The relatively new channels feature and webinar/podcast hosting are things we will be implementing soon. Being able to shift our webinar hosting from GoToWebinar to Wistia will save us almost the cost of our Wistia plan for the year. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** The cost has gone up, but what hasn't? Other than that, nothing. **Recommendations to others considering Wistia:** Don't think twice. Sign up and start loading videos. Then check the blog and start learning. **What problems is Wistia solving and how is that benefiting you?** Video is a key component of our business strategy (media serving the golf course maintenance industry). We have created legions of loyal fans with our humor videos that occasionally poke fun at a very conservative industry; archived webinar recordings; tips & tricks videos and a bunch more stuff. Keep your corporate videos private! The editing features in Project makes online edit (althoug somewhat liimted) ver easy and quick. The video properties, like thumbnails, controls, call outs and closed captions are awesome. **What do you dislike about Wistia?** I wish the editing features in WISTIA's prpjct were avalbile in Channels as well and to be be a litlle more functions to it. Splitting videos, etc... **What problems is Wistia solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows us to offer videos in a secured way, no SEO listings and also pricing is great for the amount of videos we have, it would costs significantly more if we had to use our own video sever. ### 38. Loom is very friendly and would be my go to. It has an add-in. To use Wistia I have to go through our admin who has to allow me do stuff she thought I can already do. So it is locked down.
