WinSCP has been around for a very long time. I am constantly reviewing new solutions and I haven't found anything that comes close to WinSCP in terms of a Secure FTP client. The fact that it bundles standard FTP, Secure FTP, and FTP over SSL is what makes it shine. It's interface is much more sleek and user friendly compared to other free FTP solutions. The update frequency is a bit aggressive, it seems like anytime I use the software, there is an update, and I use it frequently. Unless the update is security focused I think they should group the changes together for fewer updates; of course if the update is security related then it is important yes.
