The user interface is very simple and friendly. Options are not overwhelming but they're not so few either. I made some videos with images, music, transition animations, some text here and there and they came out great. I wouldn't say it was a pro result but I was happy with it. Audio files could only be inserted, not manipulated in any way, had to do that somewhere else. It could do with some more video and audio editing options, like trimming and splitting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it is very friendly and easy to use, I can add photos, videos or music, remove voice or anything I need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
that there is a paid version with a lot more options than the free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The easiest way to us it, all the features are basics but good, and I apprecieate the way to make a video on a short time, with the competitor it lost but, still affective Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a low tier software, basics funtions, no all aout of this world, avery works perfectly, and this product can be better adding some odds but with out a lot of space Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is the first video editing software I've used. Therefore it brings a lot of memories. I don't use it as much, but If I did, I am confident I won't have trouble catching up on lost years. Very user-friendly. I also love that program comes as an add on when you purchase a window product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not sure if I dislike anything about this software. Although there is something I would dislike, it is the perspective the users were to have about this program. I would dislike it if anyone were to look down at this software. It is a free program. I won't expect anything fancy. I am surprised it is not promoted when you purchase a windows product. Uploading a file might take a couple of minutes, depending on the size, of course. That's not a problem. But it loads easily; it's simple and obvious to see how to make titles, credits, transitions, how long to make a title or credit run, add type, and you can add photos, videos, etc. It's easy to see how to save your creations, either WMV or MP4, the size (hi-def, recommended settings), and add other effects, like scrolling, zoom in, dissolves, etc. It's effortless to figure out, even the first time, making it fast going forward since you've already figured out what to do. The thing I dislike the most is that randomly in a finished file, the action will go in slow motion in spots very briefly, maybe 2 or 3 seconds. It happens at least once in a file. But it's noticeable. The sound isn't affected, but it's very annoying to see things go slow all of a sudden and then get back to normal. And there's no telling when or where it's going to happen. It didn't happen in years past, but now that Windows Movie Maker isn't supported any longer, I guess I'm stuck. I believe I have the latest version. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling will fix the problem. I don't know.
Another thing that bugs me is that once you have a particular text size (when writing a title or credits), you can't change the size on subsequent lines. The very old versions of Movie Maker allowed you to do that. That's not enough to make me not use it. I just wish I still had that ability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It offers amazing themes for the videos,
Transitions, variety of music and other editing features. Also it's free to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no adjustments on visual effects and you cannot change saturation or contrast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Moviemaker offered a lot of options and didn't require experience with video editors to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
2017 it was no longer supported by Microsoft and repeated attempts to download it have failed. There are copycat programs available that are "free." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Windows Movie Maker is a great tool and easy to use for anyone making a simple movie or slideshow. The limitations to the app allow you to easily create the basics. the app comes with simple transitions, animations, and abilities to add text and other graphics to your project. Importing footage into the app is seamless and everything is easy to access to add files and already imported media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Windows Movie Maker has limitations, so you can't expect to make long videos with extensive editing. I find that other programs are better, but it depends on your expertise and how technical you plan to get with editing. For example, audio editing is not the best while using Windows Movie Maker. First best thing in is it is free of cost, I am to easily quickly edit the videos. Some of the best feature which makes it look like real movie maker is we can mute background noise, add images and videos and can able to convert different formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interface is little bit outdated, improvement can be made even in visual effects. With some more updates software get become more sound as compare to current one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WMM helps you get started in the video-making field - you can create introductory videos using the software and add preliminary effects. You can add animations, time intervals, captions, etc., and reorder the pictures/video to arrange them in a series. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
WMM is a beginner's software - it doesn't let you play around with videos much, and you can only make simple and basic videos using this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
