## Windows 8 Reviews
  ### 1. Windows 8 simplicity and effectiveness

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto G. | Business Intelligence System Manager and Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

What I like the most about windows is its simplicity when doing things either in Linux or in old windows.
Many of the processes are already much simpler such as drivers, installing or uninstalling programs.
The memory and process management is much more efficient in my opinion than Linux especially after forcing a process to close.
Only one way to do something but that way works. It can be more or less efficient but the important thing is that it works and does what you expect it to do.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Disk management is slower and more cumbersome and generates a lot of unnecessary data, in my opinion.
The own windows processes have to occupy a lot of space, and you cannot remove or disable them.
The virus "checker" can consume many resources without giving a valid reason to run.
If you want to use it as a server, it does not work very well because it has many background processes spending resources that do not serve you, or I do not consider it valid.
It tends to be attacked because it is more used, which can be a problem if you store sensitive data.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My operating system is for personal and daily use; it is comfortable, simple, and easy to use.
I can play games, watch television, install programs, and print devices without being too complicated.
I like to play games, and with a couple of clicks, I can be playing without too much trouble.

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

This probably won't be the flashiest element, however it's one of my top picks. Also one of the many little subtleties that causes Windows 8.1 to feel so strong and responsive. At the point when you type on the touchscreen console, it learns as you type, making ideas dependent on what you've composed previously. Assuming you utilize more than one language, you'll see that you can enter text all the more effectively with the new console designs. What's more those Emoji that everybody cherishes to such an extent? They're presently in shading

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 highlighted another UI enhanced for multitouch tablets, which Microsoft slapped on top of an injured Windows work area sans the Start button/menu. This one-UI-fits-all-gadgets approach misfired, bringing about confounded end clients, just as attentive undertaking utilizes reluctant to redesign from prior forms

Presumably, Windows 8 is a special delivery in the windows series because of the component it gives. They give me the new windows start menu button, which offers a broad scope of applications. Windows 8 has the latest windows store to download games and applications. Speed and execution have expanded, which is generally significant in the ongoing time. All applications are effectively accessible with the pursuit choice bar or snap start, and every one of the applications is accessible as per their inclinations or utilization of by Ascending or Descending request.

  ### 17. Windows 8 - it's like Windows ME came back as Microsoft tried to have a tablet/desktop OS in one

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Head of Engineering - Data and Business Intelligence, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8.1 was stable and solid, but Windows 8 itself - the product at launch less so.

If we speak about Windows 8.1 it worked on a rich range of devices, had an unobtrusive Start menu, and had solid touch capability.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 came with a full-screen Start menu and all sorts of hidden swipe-able options. This was Microsoft's vision for a tablet/desktop OS all-in-one but it was a terrible experience on desktops and worse, Microsoft followed suite with its Windows Server version of the same year - creating havoc for RDP-d servers worldwide.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

If you need Windows 8, make sure you go with Windows 8.1 and the latest service packs.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows 8 offered greater compatibility with devices than previous versions of Windows, as well as increased virtualization support.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Nothing as such just a part wherein any new user cannot get the features easily as everything from control panel is moved to settings,Requires a small amount of graphics so as to work smoothly as it contains many new Animations and optional themes which if used can enhance the look of the PC.Start menu needs good graphics as it may take time to load in low configuration computers .

2 . Completely modernized the OS Frontend by using millions of colors on the screen.

5. Boot time was very fast compared to Windows XP and 7 .
6. For the first time windows introduced live sync of data to their cloud applications .
7. Windows made the Office Suite as a SAAS.
8. Introduction of Windows Store.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

1. It was very hard to get used to the new UI coming from the likes of Mac and Windows 7
2. They had a lot of paid apps that the users were not ready to pay for at that time.
3. There were multiple modes on this OS
4. I did not like the color of the themes used in the OS
5. Internet explorer was not even compared to google chrome .
6. The device manager functions were too complicated

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

  ### 21. Fast Windows OS - Windows 8

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman G. | Business Development Executive, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 helped me with the following things:

1) Multi-Window Operation for work is also a good feature that has been made available for multi-tasking with a split-screen. I can operate two screens clearly from the main screen with ease and can also show the same to clients if required.

2) Microsoft Store helps to download apps from the store directly into the system like smartphones and this is one such major change. I could now download Skype, WhatsApp, Outlook, News, etc. from the store directly without searching for the EXE files for installation.

3) Notifications: Since the store is made available, it gives prompt notifications for the apps installed to stay updated with all of the information like it is received on smartphones. It helped to receive information on the system and reply accordingly without having the need to open a smartphone and do that.

4) Charms Bar gives quick action buttons to Search, Home, Devices, Settings, Share, etc., and takes to the relevant option. don't have to search for these buttons, they all available in the left corners (top and bottom).

5) Sync options allow to sync all of the system information and keep them secured like it is done through Android OS by Google.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Not many things I dislike about Windows 8 and here are they:

1) Windows Home Button to display all apps on the main screen I do not like much because whenever I click home, it opens a wide tray of apps on the main screen and my desktop gets lost in between. I then have to search for the desktop to return or press home again to return.
It would be good if it could open a list on the main screen like it was there in Windows 7.

2) Windows 8 Minimum requirements state it works well on 2GB RAM, 2 GB of storage for installation, 1.10 GHz or above processor, etc. but it is certainly not the case. It does not work well at all with these requirements, at least not with me. I had 2GB RAM, 500GB Storage, 2.20 GHz Processor but still, it lagged a lot and when the internet gets connected, it almost freezes.
I have to upgrade my system requirements to 6GB RAM keeping others constant to work but still sometimes it heats up with minimum tasks going.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of my problems with earlier OS was solved by Windows 8 and here are they:

1) Quick Boot to Windows is one such issue solved by Windows 8. Earlier OS takes around 25-30 seconds to open up while Windows 8 only takes around 15-20 seconds maximum and in some cases, it opens in 14 seconds.

2) Earlier when I transfer files, Windows 7 does not have the option to pause the transfer. I can also cancel or let it go. While with Windows 8, I can actually pause the transfer and resume it accordingly as per my preference with no issues with the document whatsoever.

3) I seriously did not like the interface of Windows 7 at all as it was slow and does not look tempting to use. Windows 8 has such an elegant interface that I love using the device with this OS.

4) Seamless syncing of Microsoft drive with Windows 8 for files stored which is not the case with earlier OS of windows.

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 gave a very tablet-like feel to your laptop. I believe it made tablets famous when mobile windows OS was a thing. It was different and just was an era when Microsoft was trying to be different. I liked the innovation.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Because it gave a very tablet-like feel, it was a bit cumbersome on a laptop. The UI became cluttered very quickly with the more stuff you added to the start menu, so it was not very user-friendly.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows 8, I believe, is suitable for younger age groups. It is more interactive than most other OS and is best to use on touchscreen devices. It also boots pretty quickly.

  ### 28. Windows 8 was a tablet OS forced on to desktop users

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Hated it. Initially was really excited about it but later regretted upgrading to it from Windows 7.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Everything, the bad Ui (for Desktop users), bad driver support. Bad support and Documentation.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely had a lot of under the hood changes that made the OS better but it was a bad and unfinished release.

  ### 30. Worst OS ever but was a good base for Win 10

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul U. | Technical Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

There was nothing really good about the Win 8 OS itself but it made a good baseline for next OS, WIn 10 which is not a great success.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

It was a heavy OS with very high resource consumption and many bugs in UI and UX.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

I recommend Win 8 to communities out there to only use when you don't have any other OS available.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My customers needed a new OS when Win 8 was out in the market, and it was the only choice in the name of new, so I got it installed for new security patches.

**Reviewed by:** Ankit J. | Operations Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

The boot process is surprisingly fast for Windows. It was pre-installed on new machines if someone is purchasing; however, the older users of windows seven or XP could also upgrade . It used fewer resources from the machine
Good browser. The Explorer 10 was noteworthy. Although there’s was no bookmark toolbar, Still it did its job. Currently windows 8 is still support and will be support til 2023 with regular updates .

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

there was quite a few like lack of standard folders, you could not scroll up-down it was side to side, there was no start button it was like you need to bring your cursor to the the the the left corner and click once to get the menu,, and if you hover it slightly the start screen will disappear user with laptops had difficulty using it with comfort as it mostly needed a a mouse to be accurate

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

The recommendation is based on usage; you can use it daily it's learn and adapt. Not recommended for development tools as certain tools won't give an adequate performance or even crash.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

personally i haven;t solved any specific problem with windows 8 it is developed and already being used however best part about windows 8 is you get to explore the variety of optins , shorcuts to finish up your task . Its like you perform action , learn and adapt . There are few systems at work which still use windows 8 and they are at verge of upgrading to windows 10 or 11 soon. However these systems are used by admin team to perform smal task on company server and yes there is no complaints till date

The time I used it, it was great and with many useful features and security was good. Operating system worked well it was easy to use by anyone even my wife who is not a technical person at all.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

I would say updates came a bit slower to my liking and they took a very long time to install in my opinion that is. I also was not to crazy about how system information was presented.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not a particular problem per say, it was the operating system of choice and the latest available at the time, and we used it on all of our servers, computers, and laptops

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

User friendly, easy to use, very Secure, user experience is excellent, pre-installed apps, window processing is fast, work smoothly with multiple applications.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

No start button. With no start button, Windows 8 got a lot of hate. But what is so bad?? Click at the corner, and you are at the start.
Metro start menu, which is in fullscreen. Why I like Windows 8 is just why they hate Windows 8. If you are having so many problems, just use the classic shell.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster startup. On my tests comparing Windows 8 performance with that of Windows 7 on the same computer, Windows 8 started up more than twice as fast as Windows 7.
The Whole new world of apps. Windows 8 gives PC users a whole new world of full-screen, touch-friendly, Web-connected apps to explore.

  ### 37. Some improvements, but some issues

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yukti A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows eight is an operating system that is available for laptops and computers. It is primarily for personal computers, and various editions include home, student, and business. Windows eight is when there first became decent support for touchscreen. It also started to bridge the idea of the computer just being a larger screen than your phone. It also was when we really saw a lot of applications downloadable directly from the Microsoft store.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Some of the most significant issues with windows eight really come from the different use cases. I spend a substantial amount of time writing and working with software, and it becomes excruciating to deal with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of various installed software. There hasn't been a good native terminal or an excellent native version manager to install multiple versions of software or installing software directly. There are often compatibility issues where some software needs one version, and others require a different version. This is compounded when there's the same version for 32-bit and 64-bit.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows eight is one of the dominant and default options when buying a personal computer. This primarily gives users an operating system, which allows people to interact with various applications on their devices easily. Since it is one of the default options, there is a lot of support available and lots of messaging threads to help you debug many problems.

  ### 38. Windows 8 shouldn't be used anymore you should be using Windows 10

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 was a good idea and a good upgrade from Windows 7. The issue was it was so short-lived and Windows 10 is just a better version of the Windows 8 OS. I Would recommend you upgrade ASAP. It does have a nice clean layout and a nice looking upgrade over 7.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

This OS was one of the short-lived OS from MS; they quickly upgraded to Windows 10 and found a better way to push updates and keep the OS secure over Windows 8. It was just a GUI update and didn't perform as well as 10 even early on when Windows 7 and 8 came out 7 would get better benchmarks and 10 was created to be better.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was just a simple GUI update over Windows 7 and 7 was more stable with software over Windows 8. Most people thought of 8 as the SKIP over OS so there was not much benefits over the older more stable OS

  ### 39. A leap in Innovation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 is a very stable operating system with which I am very acquainted and has proven to be the best in speed, memory (ram), and compatibility with the hardware of most computer vendors in the world.
I particularly like the operating system because it has its unique styles and features, which are entirely different from the norm. The start menu and the user interface are completely separate from the traditional theme and design of windows seven and its predecessors.
Windows 8 is especially good with its lightweight design and its ability to run just about any program on its platform. I enjoy the way most third-party software can efficiently run on its platform and how you can tell very little difference with the given properties embedded in it.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

The Operating system is a sound operating system but is lacking in the innovation and progression of the IT world.
The operating system integrates some programs on its platform but not all making it not an ideal operating system to use in development.
The operating system lacks enhanced features that can help quickly decode some HTTP files online as well as some high end user expressions that are much needed when browsing the internet.
Expression is another failure with windows 8. Some of the apps/icons used in developing the system do not meet up with third party software used these days.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used windows 8 to administer emplyees in my department with ease and accuracy effectively. The infrastructure of windows 8 makes it perfectly unique in handling systems administrative permissions and various tasks.
Windows 8 has been an excellent operating system for me in deployment assignments and monitor the progress of different employees at the same time.
Windows 8 has the multi-task option, which I have been exploiting to the fullest to accomplish a great deal both in the company and the business clients.

  ### 40. Window 8 is more user friendly than window 7

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

The Introduction o of the Microsoft Office Tool
The Boot time is quite very fast compared to window 7
Availability of window store and LAstly
the Sync is a good idea

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

The theme is not that friendly.
Since window 8 is different from window 7, At first I found it difficult to use it.
The widescreen that appears when you click on the window home button is frustrating

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fact that window 8 is quick in booting, has solved so many problems for me. And again for me to be able to pause and play when I transfer a file is actually a problem solver

  ### 41. Re-imaginig of windows

Interactive start screen with colourful tiles , better searching , improved app store

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

I did not like the new start button , Prior start button was nice.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used some application from market place , that feature i really liked.
You can start typing appliication name on home screen and launch that very fast.

  ### 42. My experience with Windows 8

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai Aishwarya B. | Student, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 has a straightforward accessible user interface. Compared to the older versions it is sophisticated and has more in built features which allows us to see all the apps in one screen.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 has more bugs compared to older versions. The system gets stuck more often. A lot of main screens make it a little confusing sometimes.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was playing games, writing documents, creating excel sheets for work.
Powerpoint presentations and Notes were also beneficial while l was a college student

  ### 43. Windows 8 - A balanced OS - And a bridge to the future

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal J. | Software Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

Windows 8 proved to be one of the most secure versions of Windows yet. Windows Defender, the anti-malware software, is integrated with the OS, which makes Windows 8 entirely secure. The addition of ELAM (Early Launch Anti-Malware) in Windows 8 ensured that the system is protected right from the moment it boots. Windows Defender effectively provides protection against most kinds of malware like viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, rootkits, and other malicious scripts. Moreover, with the Windows Update feature, users can be assured of protection against evolving malware.

Another aspect where Windows 8 improved over previous versions is the time taken to boot. The boot process is quick in Windows 8 when compared to Windows 7.

Lastly, the addition of the Windows App Store enables users to download a ton of useful software applications, thus improving usability.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Migration from Windows 7 to Windows 8 did create a few dislikes, especially the way the Start button was redesigned. It took me some time to get used to the newly designed Start button, especially because of the number of years spent in using the Start buttons in previous versions (Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 98).

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

2021 belongs to Windows 10, and if you are still using Windows 8/ 8.1, its high time you migrate to Windows 10. If you are considering Windows 8 as a new user, then better to go with Windows 10.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Windows 8 on a development PC where other Microsoft products such as Visual Studio .NET were installed for the development of Windows Desktop Applications.

  ### 44. Microsoft could have done it better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jemec L. | Technical team leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

It is very versatile; I really love the fact that you can use the OS on different hardware devices, such as tablets and PCs as well. Besides running the regular programs, you as well have the ability to run applications that are embedded into the operating system, which makes it easy to run and have it on different devices.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

The user interface is not as good as you could think of. Not very intuitive. Microsoft has not done well with the change from the start menu to the metro UI. They needed to redesign that, and they did with newer windows versions, but for this one it was pretty awfull. We needed to look to other solutions to solve that situation.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

It is good, but if you can go for a newer windows version that has all the things that are more user friendly, such as windows 10, go for it.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An operating system that regulates and is compatible with most of the PCs and tablets at the office.

  ### 45. Win 8 is a very good operating system for those who want speed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

There are many innovations and changes. There are some very nice free softwares available for download from the store. The system boots quickly. I am currently using windows 8, other mobile operating systems and windows the best operating system ever.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

Some hardware drivers do not match. On some brand computers, the installation cannot be completed without updating the motherboard Bios. Its complexity can be removed.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

Win 8 is a perfect operating system for those who want speed. Very good in ease of use. A troublesome operating system for professional users. The only plus for experienced users is its speed. With SSD HDD and core i3 processor, your computer is ready 2 seconds after pressing the button.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being fast solves all the problems.

  ### 46. WIndows 8 a trailer to future

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roshak B. | Customer Service Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

What I like about Windows 8: their new user interface, the inbuilt marketplace for apps, the start menu, clean desktop, the icons design, and a glimpse into the future of windows. The processing speed of apps was significantly higher than in previous windows. The variety of apps built for windows were pretty amazing as no third-party apps were needed. The concept of the touch screen was the main focus of Windows 8, it adhered to all qualities suitable to be a tablet OS. the operations and design were perfect for touch and the time of response was quicker than any other tablet os at that time.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

The significant jump from Vista to 8 was a bold step. The overall design and operations were changed and it did take some time to get used to the new OS.
The bulky icons are made specifically for touch screens. The problem with app resolutions was one of the issues with windows 8. The transition between a non-touch OS to a touch screen OS was very hard and can be seen on this OS. The user interface was not so user-friendly. I have seen people struggling to close their laptop on win 8. The features are remarkable but are much more improved on Win 10.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

If you are using old devices to run a new OS then I can recommend using windows 8 for your day-to-day use. But if you have new hardware then consider win 10 as it compensates all the losses in win 8 and provides you with much more features.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows 8 solved a big problem of using an OS on tablet and touch screen laptops. The support for new technology is highly appreciated. The light versions of apps on the app store helped run OS smoothly and faster than ever before. Problem-solving or executing a task was faster in win 8 than in previous models. Windows 8 prominently helped in the transition from a bulky desktop setup to a portable and lightweight tablet setup. It helped with operations and staff engagement because of its new interactive OS.

  ### 47. Best security, but cumbersome

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy N. | IT Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

I liked that it was very an attempt at something innovative. I like the tiles and the ideas of a more mobile version of Windows. It had great potential with some add-ons to make the use more friendly and smooth.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

I was not too fond of the tiles or having to go to additional screens to find things. It was sometimes difficult to use without the start menu and having everything a little more user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

My only advice would be to get Windows 10 instead. It has a longer life, and it is more like Windows 7 with touches of WIndows 8. At this point, there is no real reason to use this OS.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not currently using Windows 8 to solve any problems. I have upgraded every system to Windows 10. There are no real benefits other than security and operating system updates.

  ### 48. Review on Windows 8 New beginning to Windows era

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghava I. | Healthcare Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

It was the time when a new era in windows started. Everything is a recent change. many games came in windows which are fascinating and even there are many features which are added to it in a way that our job or work will be done so simple.
It was worth noting Explorer 10. Even if there was no toolbar bookmark, she still did her job. Windows 8 is currently supported and gets updated regularly until 2023. ELAM (Early Launch Anti-Malware) included to Windows 8 guaranteed the system to be safeguarded straight away as it boots. Windows Defender efficiently protects from most malware types such as viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, rootkits and other malicious scripts.Windows-built apps were wonderful since there were no third-party programmes. Windows 8 focused on the notion of the touch screen and adhered to all the features appropriate for a tablet OS.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

There are some bugs which are needed to fix in time but still there is no response immedieatly by the team. One of the problems with windows 8 was the trouble with app resolution. The transfer from a non-touch operating system to a touch screen operating system was quite difficult as you can see on this system. The user interface has not been very easy to utilise. I saw individuals fighting to shut off their laptop on winning 8. Windows 8 is comparatively sluggish, as opposed to the later Windows 10 or Windows 11. In addition, the Sign-in page did not match the mark. The purple backdrop might have been enhanced during signature. I needed a "Classic Shell" workaround to assist Windows 8 customers easily make the modifications, avoiding them from wasting extra cash on a Windows 7 licence to install on a Windows 8-based system.

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can solve many problems like working on my project works using Microsoft tools embedded in windows. And can play a lot any games, which boosts my skills in gaming. Lol.The lightweight applications in the app store helped to operate the OS smoothly and quickly. Problems were solved or performed in win 8 more quickly than prior models. Windows 8 made a significant move to a portable and lightweight tablet set-up from a large desktop arrangement. Thanks to its innovative interactive OS, it boosted operations and employee involvement. You are doing things, learning and adapting. There are few systems that still utilise Fenster 8 and will soon be upgraded to Fenster 10 or Fenster 11. But these systems are utilised by the admin staff to conduct a poor job on the corporate server. I didn't really like the Windows 7 interface, because it was sluggish and didn't seem enticing. Windows 8 has an interface so elegant that I'm fond of utilising that OS device.

**What do you like best about Windows 8?**

1) Multi-Window Operation for work is likewise a decent element that has been made accessible for performing multiple tasks with a split-screen. I can work two screens unmistakably from the fundamental screen easily and can likewise show something very similar to customers whenever required.

2) Microsoft Store assists with downloading applications from the store straightforwardly into the framework like cell phones and this is one such significant change. I could now download Skype, WhatsApp, Outlook, News, and so forth from the store straightforwardly without looking for the EXE records for establishment.

3) Notifications: Since the store is made accessible, it gives brief warnings for the applications introduced to remain refreshed with the entirety of the data like it is gotten on cell phones. It assisted with getting data on the framework and answer likewise without wanting to open a cell phone and do that.

4) Charms Bar gives fast activity catches to Search, Home, Devices, Settings, Share, and so forth, and takes to the significant choice. try not to need to look for these catches, they all accessible in the left corners (top and base).

5) Sync alternatives permit to synchronize the entirety of the framework data and keep them got like it is done through Android OS by Google.

**What do you dislike about Windows 8?**

elatively few things I detest about Windows 8 and here are they:

1) Windows Home Button to show all applications on the fundamental screen I don't care for much on the grounds that at whatever point I click home, it opens a wide plate of applications on the primary screen and my work area loses all sense of direction in the middle. I then, at that point need to look for the work area to return or press home again to return.

Hopefully it will open a rundown on the fundamental screen like it was there in Windows 7.

2) Windows 8 Minimum prerequisites state it functions admirably on 2GB RAM, 2 GB of capacity for establishment, 1.10 GHz or above processor, and so on yet it is surely not the situation. It doesn't function admirably at all with these prerequisites, basically not with me. I had 2GB RAM, 500GB Storage, 2.20 GHz Processor yet at the same time, it slacked a ton and when the web gets associated, it nearly freezes.

I need to update my framework necessities to 6GB RAM keeping others consistent to work yet at the same time once in a while it warms up with least undertakings going

**Recommendations to others considering Windows 8:**

On the off chance that you can't manage the cost of windows 10 ensure this is 100% on your PC

**What problems is Windows 8 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

interface. Indeed, even the current windows follow a similar interface. The tile menu is a major benefit of Windows 8. It is exceptionally helpful on account of getting sorted out the top picks and most utilized applications are masterminded in the tile menu in top request. Likewise, the reviving screensaver of the windows application is very nice to feel. After the framework is locked it is a great idea to have a glace in the screensaver and it gives an invigorating resume for the work
