What do you like best about Windows 11?

Windows 11 has a nicer, cleaner design that I found more modern and good-looking. You can create different desktops for different jobs or projects, so you can keep things separate and organized. There are new ways to organize your open windows, which helps you work on different things at the same time without getting confused. There's a chat and video app called Microsoft Teams that's now built into Windows 11, making it easier to talk and work with others. They've added extra security features to help keep your computer and information safer from bad stuff online. The menu where you find all your apps and settings is in the middle now, which some people find easier to use than before. Windows 11 has some new sounds and effects that make using your computer a bit more fun and enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows 11?

Like any new software, Windows 11 had some initial bugs and problems that frustrated early adopters. This included issues with performance, compatibility, and stability. The hardware requirements for Windows 11 are more stringent, so some older devices that run Windows 10 perfectly fine might not be able to upgrade, causing inconvenience for users who can't afford new hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Windows 11 solving and how is that benefiting you?

The new look of Windows 11 is really helpful. They made it easier to do lots of things at once with Snap Layouts and Snap Groups, so I can organize my work better. It's like having a tidy desk! The way it looks is also nicer and makes using my computer more fun. They also put Microsoft Teams right in there, so it's easier to talk and work with others. I heard they made it safer too, adding extra security stuff to protect my computer. That feels good to know! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Windows 11?

Windows 11 offers a sleek interface with a centered Start menu, enhanced productivity features like Snap Layouts, and a revamped Microsoft Store. Its improved performance and compatibility with Android apps contribute to a more seamless user experience. The updated taskbar and widget system provide quick access to relevant information. What do you dislike about Windows 11?

I find the system requirements for Windows 11 restrictive, limiting its compatibility with older devices. The initial transition from Windows 10 raised concerns about potential bugs and compatibility issues, though ongoing updates aim to address these. Additionally, the need for a Microsoft account during setup seems as an inconvenience. While Windows 11 brings improvements, addressing these concerns could enhance user satisfaction. What do you like best about Windows 11?

Windows 11 introduces a sleek, modern design that looks like a significant leap forward. The centred Start Menu, rounded corners, and overall polished aesthetic provide a visually appealing and cohesive user interface. The new design language enhances the overall user experience and gives the OS a more contemporary feel.

Productivity gets a boost with Snap Layouts and Snap Groups. These features make it easy to organize and multitask by snapping applications into predefined layouts or creating custom groups. It's a time-saving feature streamlining workflow, especially for users who frequently work simultaneously with multiple applications.

The Microsoft Store has undergone a much-needed overhaul. The redesigned store is faster, more user-friendly, and provides a wider range of apps. The inclusion of support for Android apps is a welcome addition, expanding the software ecosystem and giving users access to a broader selection of applications.

Windows 11 feels snappier and more responsive compared to its predecessor. The performance improvements, particularly in speed and resource efficiency, contribute to a smoother overall user experience. The optimized performance is noticeable during everyday tasks and resource-intensive applications alike.

With remote work becoming increasingly prevalent, the seamless integration of Microsoft Teams directly into the taskbar is a thoughtful addition. This makes it easy for users to connect and collaborate with colleagues or friends without needing a separate application, streamlining communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windows 11?

One of the major drawbacks of Windows 11 is its stringent hardware requirements. Many users with older hardware may be unable to upgrade, limiting the accessibility of the new features and improvements. This decision may alienate a portion of the Windows user base.

While the centred Start Menu is aesthetically pleasing, the inconsistency in icon design can be jarring. Some icons have been updated to fit the new design language, while others still maintain the older style. This lack of uniformity affects the overall visual harmony of the user interface.

While adding Android app support is a step in the right direction, the current selection is limited, and not all apps work seamlessly. Some apps may not display correctly or experience performance issues, indicating room for improvement in integrating Android apps into the Windows environment.

While Windows 11 brings a more streamlined taskbar, the customization options are somewhat limited. Users who are accustomed to a high degree of customization may find the lack of flexibility in arranging and organizing icons on the taskbar restrictive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Windows 11 solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the notable problems addressed by Windows 11 is the need for a more streamlined and user-friendly interface. The redesigned Start Menu and centred taskbar provide a more organized and visually appealing layout. Integrating Microsoft Teams directly into the taskbar is a game-changer, making communication and collaboration seamless. This solution has saved me valuable time switching between applications and improved overall workflow efficiency.

Multitasking has also significantly improved with the introduction of Snap Layouts and Snap Groups. These features allow for effortless window management, enhancing productivity by enabling users to create customized layouts for different tasks. As someone who often juggles multiple applications simultaneously, this has been a game-changer for optimizing screen real estate and maintaining a focused work environment.

Windows 11 has taken a big step towards enhancing the gaming experience as well. The integration of DirectStorage technology results in faster game load times, providing a smoother and more immersive gaming experience. The updated Microsoft Store also contributes to this, offering a wider range of applications and games, making it a one-stop-shop for all software needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Windows 11 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Windows 11 allows me to work on the go. All its features such as MS Onenote, and various other MS suite tools help me to manage my day-to-day tasks and work smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, it provides cloud storage as well which helps in keeping my files and accessing them through my Microsoft account. The taskbar feature is my favorite of all, and managing all my apps and shortcuts on it helps me out in increasing my speed of work.

The Microsoft app store has most of the day-to-day apps that we frequently use on a smartphone and this is a great feature to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
