"Quick Capture for Clear Guides, but Team Sharing Gets Costly"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

I like being able to quickly capture a form or process walkthrough and gather the information I need to prepare a clear video or step-by-step guide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

Pricing: To share this information with a team, the system works best when everyone has an account, but that can quickly become cost-prohibitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

Hey there,

Really appreciate you calling this out so directly, because this is an important conversation.

Love that you’re already using Whale to capture walkthroughs and build guides. That’s usually where teams start. But the real value shows up when that knowledge is actually used across the team.

On pricing, you’re right that everyone having access is where Whale works best. And that’s intentional.

Because the problem we’re solving isn’t just “create SOPs.”

It’s fixing what happens after they’re created.

Most teams today:

Spend way too much time looking for the right information

Work from outdated or half-complete documentation

Ask the same questions over and over

Make mistakes because processes aren’t clear or consistent

That hidden cost is massive.

If one team member spends even 10–15 minutes a day searching, guessing, or redoing work… multiply that across your team and across a month. You’re easily losing dozens of hours.

That’s where Whale flips the equation:

One clear source of truth

SOPs that are actually structured and usable

Instant answers with AI search

Consistency in how work gets done

So instead of time being lost every day, you’re getting it back continuously.

That’s why access matters for everyone, not just creators.

Because the ROI doesn’t come from writing SOPs.

It comes from people executing faster and better because of them.

And that’s usually where teams see the shift:

Faster onboarding

Fewer mistakes

Less back and forth

More confident execution

When you stack that against the cost, it’s not even close.

That said, if you’re thinking about rolling this out wider, happy to look at your setup with you and make sure you’re getting the maximum value out of it.

Appreciate the honest feedback, and glad Whale is already helping you get those first guides in place.

"User-Friendly Organization, but Occasional Login Glitches"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

It helps keep everything organized, and is very user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

There have been a few glitches with the system, where we're unable to login and access. It has happened a handful of times, which can be a little inconvenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

Thanks a lot for sharing this, really appreciate you taking the time 🙌

Love hearing that Whale helps keep everything organized and easy to use. That’s exactly what we’re aiming for, so you can just find what you need without overthinking it.

On the login issues, completely fair to call that out. We did have an IT hiccup on our side that caused a few of those moments, and honestly, we could have caught it sooner. That’s on us. The good news is it’s been addressed, and we’re keeping a much closer eye on it now.

Really glad to hear Whale is helping you get answers quickly and acts as that central source of knowledge for your team. That’s where it should shine.

And hey, if you’re open to it, I’d love to personally say thanks for the review. Feel free to reach out to us, would be great to send a small token of appreciation your way

"Easy Knowledge Creation and Documentation for Team Success"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

The system allows for easy creation and documentation of information the team needs to succeed in their roles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

Sometimes the formatting can be challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

Hey there,

Thank you for sharing this, really appreciate it.

Love how you described it. “Easy knowledge creation for team success” is exactly what we’re aiming for. When teams can quickly document what matters and make it accessible, everything improves. Onboarding gets faster, processes become clearer, and people spend less time guessing and more time executing.

Great to hear Whale is also helping you keep everyone aligned with updates. That’s a big one. Whether it’s process changes, new workflows, or important announcements, making sure the right people see the right information at the right time is where a lot of teams struggle. Glad to hear it’s working well for you.

On the formatting side, that’s super valuable feedback. And honestly, we’d love to dig into that with you. Formatting should support clarity, not slow you down. Whether it’s structuring SOPs, working with templates, or styling content the way you want, we’re continuously improving this experience.

Would you be open to sharing a bit more on what’s been challenging? That would really help us guide you better and improve things on our end as well.

Appreciate you being part of Whale.

"Easy to Use with Shareable Live Updates That Fit Our Process"
4/5
What do you like best about Whale?

The ease of use and live updates that are able to be shared. It's integrated well into our operation process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

It is sometimes difficult to log in to Whale. Wish there was more mobile presence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

Really appreciate you sharing this, thank you 🙌

Love that Whale fits into your existing processes and makes it easy to share live updates. That’s exactly how we want it to be used, not as “another tool”, but something that actually works with how your team already operates.

On the login challenges, totally fair. Similar to what others experienced, we did run into an IT-related issue there, and in hindsight, we could have caught that earlier. That’s been resolved now, and we’re keeping a much closer eye on it going forward.

And mobile… also a very fair ask. It’s something we know can be stronger, especially as more teams want quick access on the go.

Really glad to hear it’s making company-wide updates and policy changes easier to roll out. That’s where things usually get messy, so if we’re simplifying that, we’re doing something right.

And same here, if you’re open to it, feel free to reach out. Would love to send a small thank you your way for taking the time to leave this 🙂

What do you dislike about Whale?

As a newer user, I’d say the only thing I noticed is that it could benefit from having even more creators across different niches. But that’s totally normal for a growing platform, and I’m excited to see it expand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale
