"Easy Quiz Creation and Linked SOPs with a Handy Shop-Floor App"
4/5
What do you like best about Whale?

I like that you can create quizzes, link SOPs within other SOPs, and that there’s an app for people on the shop floor to view them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

When I upload pre-existing documents, they don’t come through formatted correctly. Having to reformat everything is a real pain, so I usually end up recreating the document instead of uploading it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use and Great for Quickly Creating SOPs"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

What I like most about Whale is how easy it is to use. I saw this firsthand when I started a new job with no prior familiarity with the platform. The Whale cards and playbooks made it straightforward to understand our processes, and I was able to start creating SOPs quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

There isn’t anything major I dislike, but I do think the platform could improve its search and navigation so it’s quicker to find specific content, especially as more documentation gets added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

This is such a great one to read, thank you for sharing this 🙌

Love that you experienced the “aha” moment right from the start. Being able to jump into a new role, understand processes quickly, and start creating SOPs without friction… that’s exactly the experience we’re aiming for.

Also really nice to hear how the cards and playbooks supported your onboarding. That’s where things usually get messy, so if Whale is bringing clarity and structure there, we’re doing our job right.

On search and navigation, very fair feedback. As documentation grows, finding the right piece of information quickly becomes even more important.

That said… this is where Alice comes in 😄

She’s your shortcut to everything. Just ask a question, and she’ll point you to the right info in seconds. No digging needed.

And hey, if you’re open to it, I’d love to personally say thanks. Feel free to reach out, would be great to send a small token of appreciation your way 🙂

"Easy-to-Use Browser Extension with Helpful Built-In AI"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

Whale is very easy to use in my everyday workflow. I love having the extension right there in my browser, because it’s always accessible whenever I need it. The AI built into Whale is also helpful for finding whatever resources I’m looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

I don’t like that the AI agent’s memory isn’t saved, because every time I open it, it feels like a completely new conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

Hey there,

Okay this is a fun one to read 😄

Having Whale just sit there in your browser ready to go is exactly the point. No switching tabs, no digging through folders, no “where the hell is that doc again?” moment. You just click, search, or record and you’re off. Love that it fits into your daily workflow like that.

Also very happy to hear Alice is helping you find what you need. That’s her whole job. Fast answers, zero friction, no hunting around.

Now on the memory piece, I get why that feels frustrating, but good news… Alice actually does have chat history you can revisit 👀

So it shouldn’t feel like starting from scratch every time. There might just be something off in how you’re accessing it or using it right now.

Honestly, I’d love to jump on a quick call with you and take a look together. We can:

Show you where the chat history lives

Make sure you’re getting the most out of Alice

Help you set things up so it actually feels like a continuous experience

Because when it works the way it should, it’s a game changer.

Also love that you called out the core value. One place for SOPs, easy access for everyone. That’s the foundation. Everything else builds on top of that.

If you’re up for it, grab a slot here and we’ll sort it out together:

"Centralization of Information and Knowledge"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

We turned to Whale because we needed a central place to consolidate all our knowledge and information for our Support department. This was a significant pain point for us, as our agents were spending a lot of time searching for information while trying to assist customers. Additionally, we had a lengthy onboarding process, making it slow to deploy an agent independently.

Since using Whale, we have successfully centralized our knowledge, created onboarding and training tracks, and gained immediate insight into the knowledge levels of our agents. This allows us to identify areas where further development is needed. The straightforward implementation and clear onboarding process make Whale a top tool for us to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

We have no negative comments; whenever there are features not immediately available, the team at Whale collaborates with us to think of alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup and Effortless SOP Creation with Screen Recording"
4/5
What do you like best about Whale?

Whale is easy to use, and the setup was quick and painless. The best part is creating SOPs with the screen recording tool. Once the recording is finished, it also generates a written version of the SOP, so it’s a real two-birds-one-stone kind of situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

I have no issues at this time. It is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Whale Keeps Our Work Organized and Our Teams More Confident"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

I like that Whale doesn’t feel rigid. It gives us a single home for all the ways we work, but it doesn’t force every process into the same shape. I can build a clean step by step guide for one workflow, drop in screenshots and callouts for another, record a video for something more visual, or use the AI tools when I want a quick draft. It supports how different teams naturally communicate rather than asking everyone to fit into one template.

The other thing I love is the way it pulls training and documentation into the same ecosystem. Instead of living in separate tool silos, our content, our training, and our reviews all sit in one place. It makes our knowledge base feel alive instead of archived. It’s easy for people to learn, revise, and keep things current, which makes my life a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

I wish the permissions went a little deeper. We have a lot of moving parts across teams, and sometimes I want to lock down one slice of a manual or give someone edit access to just a portion without opening the whole board or playbook. Whale keeps things simple, which is nice, but there are moments where a bit more control would save me some permission gymnastics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alice Makes Policy Lookups Fast and Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

I really like the Alice feature. I find it very easy to use when I need a quick reference to a policy, without having to pull an HR person away. Even with my daily use of Whale, I haven’t needed to reach out to customer support for any integration issues. During my onboarding, I had never been exposed to Whale at all, let alone seen it implemented in a way that made work so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

So far, the only issue I’ve noticed is that when I ask Alice a question, the chat box flickers uncontrollably until she’s finished thinking and responds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Whale: Effortless to Use and Highly Reliable"
4/5
What do you like best about Whale?

The ease of use and reliability of Whale are its greatest attributes in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

The ability to generate individual training records - documenting an individual's completed assignments is missing. However, Whale is very receptive to customer feedback, and I'm confident this is something that will be added in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Whale Extension Makes SOPs Instantly Accessible"
5/5
What do you like best about Whale?

Whale is very user-friendly, and the Chrome extension makes it easy to find information at any moment without having to log in to the actual website. I’m able to pull up SOPs for processes while I’m going through the process itself, which makes it much easier to stay on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whale?

There’s nothing I dislike about Whale at the moment. It’s been a great addition to our organization, and I’m glad we brought it in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Stijn Smet of Whale

This is so great to read, thank you for sharing this 🙌

The Chrome extension is one of those features we really believe should just make life easier, so hearing that you can pull up SOPs exactly when you need them, while doing the work, is exactly how it’s meant to be used.

Also love the “single source of truth” mention. That’s the goal. No more digging, guessing, or asking around.

And honestly, hearing there’s nothing you dislike… we’ll take that 😄

If you’re open to it, we’d love to send a small thank you your way for taking the time to leave this. Feel free to reach out, would be great to connect!
