The best aspects of WeVideo are first that it is cloud based. Students can log in to their accounts on any device and all of their work is there and ready to go. Secondly, there is a huge library of sounds, music, images, and video clips. Videos can be created without ever filming a clip! There is almost nothing that I don't like about WeVideo but if I had to pick one thing it would be that sometimes it can be a bit slow with uploading content. WeVideo is a one-stop shop! Before WeVideo, teachers in my building were using Screencastify, Loom, FlipGrid Shorts, Meet as a screen recorder, and more. Once I created a PD modeling the simplicity of WeVideo, teachers were hooked on it! The next step was to provide an asynchronous PD showing some of the additional features offered through WeVideo and how to make videos "WOW"! I like that WeVideo plays nice with Google Drive, and you can export to Twitter, Facebook, or embed on your website. I also like that you can export only audio for podcasting.
