What do you like best about WebFX?

The wide range of services offered from SEO, to PPC, Marketplace specific enhancements, traditional advertising, programmatic / streaming as well as influencer marketing resources has allowed us to try a number of their offerings and familiarize ourselves with their strengths and various team members. At their best, the account executives who take the time to understand an admitingly niche business have proven to be valuable and successful resources, specifically in SEO strategies. What do you dislike about WebFX?

Going off script or varying from the playbook can pose challenges. There is a fluidity to their services which is unique for this size shop, however it has taken a number of trials and errors to get to a functional understanding of their skills as it applies to our business and budget. Recommendations to others considering WebFX:

Start smaller, and know your expectations / budgets before taking on their services. As an agency they are receptive to collaboration, but they are an agency; so going too wide too fast can be costly. Manage your budgets, and have a level expectancy and accountability. What problems is WebFX solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been engaged with WebFX for the better part of two years, and contracting them in some capacity for 18 months of that time. WebFX offers a wide range of services and expertise that certainly have helped to define clear strategies for our very niche business. The WebFX team does operate in our company's best interest primarily, and offers a great deal of flexibility in their approach to our needs through service and colsulation. What do you like best about WebFX?

Their level of professionalism, focus on results and team-oriented approach have been impressive. Our main account rep, Stephen, really felt like a member of our team. I know that he always had our company's best interests in mind, and his ideas fueled great results. The other project managers we have worked with have also been fantastic. What do you dislike about WebFX?

We initially hired WebFX to help us with SEO. The first practitioner they assigned to us was very poor. We actually had to undo a lot of what he did. We were canceling our subscription with them, but to salvage our account they said they would assign us a "senior" agent. We decided to give it a try. The senior agent was remarkably great, and displayed the quality we expected from the beginning. We had spent $30,000 for the first 6 months, so we asked for a partial refund. The business manager, was clearly very irritated by this, but did begrudgingly refund us $5,000.

The second agent ended up helping us immensely with our SEO, and is probably the best help in terms of marketing we've ever had with our business in 17 years. We then hired WebFX to build us a website and manage our paid advertising. These teams were great, and we have been very happy with the website they built for us. The paid advertising was also done very well.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when our business was shut down, the business manager was more interested in short term profits than long term relationships, and cut ties with us. After the pandemic, we attempted to renew our SEO subscription and they appear to have lied to us, saying they no longer work with travel companies.

Our experience with WebFX ended up being very mixed, but overall quite positive. The first practitioner wasn't worth a fraction of what they charged. The senior agents we worked with were exceptional. And the manager we dealt with was arrogant and condescending, and is a liability to his company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WebFX?

I like how simple their built-in CRM platform and dashboard is for small businesses (without much of a CRM strategy) to keep track of success. It's a great way to see lead flow in real time or the impact of digital marketing efforts. ..without guessing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Chances are if you are looking into WebFX, you are at the same starting point that I was at - you don't have the in-house talent or knowledge to tackle SEO and maintain it on an ongoing basis. The investment might seem steep at first, but do a quick Google search of your service or product area and take a look at the top competitors that rank on Google. They are all throwing thouands of dollars at SEO and possibly employing a full timer or two just to handle that area, and because of that they are ranking first and getting the bulk of contact us form submissions or sales. SEO is an arm race and if you aren't willing to make the investment, you won't see the results you desire! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are a small team and I am the sole Marketer. SEO was a subject area I had little to no experience with going into the project. WebFX integrated seamlessly with my goals and plans and helped make substantial improvements to our rankings, keyword performance, domain rating, contact us form submissions, and so on. The investment has already paid for itself. And now that I have grown over the past 9 months to have a better understanding of SEO and what needs to be done, they have shown great flexibility in scaling back the monthly effort level and investment to meet my new reduced needs and operate more as a consultant.
