I was recommended to use webcamXP for my company for the security of the equipment and tools for converting my webcam into a security camera. I downloaded it and the experience came out to be horrible! The software design is basic. The camera gets frozen every few mins and the options are very limited. Good integration with all the cameras that I have deployed. From the free version to the paid versions, all of them provide the necessary features for their target audience. The biggest downside to the app is the lack of updates to the app. For example, I recently changed my computer to macOS, but I needed to keep one Windows computer around to run webcamXP because it's only supported on Windows. Furthermore, the interface of the app is really dated. It would be great to solve all these and modernise the app with newer technologies and a refreshing design.
