## Web of Science Reviews
  ### 1. Authenticates Your Scientific Profile and Boosts Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sudheer k. | Cambridge Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Web of Science?**

It makes my scientific profile feel more authenticated and easier to find. It also captures my reviewer profile, editorial profile, and more. The platform is easy to use and straightforward to implement, and I use it regularly to keep my reviewer profile up to date. The acknowledgement from customer support is very prompt when it comes to adding peer reviews, and I assume this process is automated. Its integration with ORCID for log in and to keep track of all publications is helpful

**What do you dislike about Web of Science?**

So far, everything is fine, as it accurately captures and presents my profile. However, the option to select or edit Subject Categories under my profile is unavailable. Despite several attempts, I still haven’t been able to change it. Ironically, the current Subject Category was auto-selected and is incorrect—it doesn’t match my actual subject. Additionally, there is no way to email or reach the support centre or customer care for assistance.

**What problems is Web of Science solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it keeps track of my reviewer work. its authentic and is very usefully captured.

  ### 2. Excellent web tool for selecting quality journals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arunvinodh C. | Assistant Professor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Web of Science?**

Most helpful thing in web of science is categorizing journals as ESCI and SCIE, which is very helpful for finding the best journal for publishing my review. Seaching journal names is also very easy to use. Since I am doing my phd degree I am frequently using Web of Science web tool.

**What do you dislike about Web of Science?**

Nothing to mention. One thing I would like to share regarding Social Science Citation Index SSCI. As my phd degree is focused on ASD, I am finding difficult to identify whether SSCI indexed journals are emerging journals or Expanded journals.

**What problems is Web of Science solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am doing my phd degree based on ASD and AI, I am mainly use for citation tracking, searching Interdisciplinary Research journals, metrics and even collabration opportunities.

  ### 6. Review for Web of Science

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric B. | Research Librarian, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Web of Science?**

I like that you combine similar search terms in parentheses (to search for one or all the search terms) and that you can use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT). I like that you can limit results by year of publication. I like that you can export citations to citation managers such as EndNote.

**What do you dislike about Web of Science?**

"Garbage In, Garbage Out" applies: You only receive results for the terms that you search. You may not retrieve citations that may be useful but were not displayed because certain search terms were not included.

**What problems is Web of Science solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've worked at scientific and medical facilities. Researchers submit requests for online literature searches related to upcoming projects. Web of Science is one of several databases that are searched to retrieve citations based on keywords related to the search requests.
