What do you like best about webmanuals?

Webmanual is basically a document management system in aviation industry. Aviation MRO industries are using for maintaining their different kinds of document database like regulatory compliance documents, recurrent certificates, initial qualifications, airworthiness documents, Minimum equipment list carried by aircraft on board, descripency list of aircraft, snag clearance report etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about webmanuals?

WebManuals can show you the finished product while you are working in it. You will be able to see the pages, as you are amending or adding to the document. No need to guess, what it will look like after, as you work in the page as you go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about webmanuals?

Although you can see the page right away, as you are working on it, unless you are using their viewer, it won't be an exact match to a PDF file. We have come to the conclusion, that a standard PDF format is not being displayed when working in WM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is webmanuals solving and how is that benefiting you?

WebManuals enables us as a business to work in multiple documents, while keeping them all in a safe and secure place. We can have anyone and everyone around the globe from our organisation working in multiple files at the same time. What do you like best about webmanuals?

You can see what you are editing right then and there. If you use their software to view the manuals, it will be great to use. You can use their viewing product as well, which means you wont need other third party viewers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about webmanuals?

It will only work well if you use their viewer to access the created manuals. Unfortunately, if you try to export it to PDF, the manual created in Web Manuals will not look exactly the same, in terms of formatting. Also sharing content is not as easy and intuitive. What do you like best about webmanuals?

The level of control and automation provided by the modules is extremely powerful these are exceptionally powerful features to reduce the time it takes to create and manage high-quality manuals.

The automatic tracking of changes and ability for users to easily see what has changed in the last revision are very useful.

The compliance libraries are a very powerful feature and will make future audits much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about webmanuals?

The system does not currently support SAML (generic single-sign-on) protocols. This makes integration with corporate security tools more difficult.

The system does not natively support "ATA" chapters.

The comment / change request features are not well integrated and associate at the page level. It is not possible to select a section or specific text to comment on. Also on the editing side, the tools to track and ensure comments/requests are addressed in a revision are not robust.

The session expires randomly - if you leave focus on the tab with web manuals, you may loose the session state. At times the service logs you out and then it requires a new login and all of the prior work state is lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering webmanuals:

Many of the really useful features require a higher level of license. Don't discount the need for those features to get the most out of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is webmanuals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Consistent management of revisions, automation of document management (Table of contents, revision bars, List of Effective pages, etc), tracking of compliance requirements, content distribution.

We have realized most of these fully and have reduced our cycle time to create a new revision by several days. More time is spent on content and not on organization, formats, and other menial tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Session Stability: We’ve made improvements to session management. For example, if you lose Wi-Fi connection, you won’t be logged out, preserving your work state.

"Smooth move to better solution"

What do you like best about webmanuals?

As our company has 3 airlines we were struggling with manual editing in order to synchronize procedures in manuals, tracking the changes etc.

I previously had experience with Web Manuals in other airline and I was very satisfied, so I am happy we chose this solution.

We just started using Web Manuals but already I noticed how easy is to synchronize the procedures and apply those changes to related manuals. It is easy to navigate and review changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
