Great (though basic) video toolkit that works great for short marketing videos. Lots of stock footage ready to use within the platform and templates as well. Not all the templates are great. The text-to-video feature needs a way better AI or algorithm; it chooses stock footage for you which is nice, but more than half the time, it chooses crappy videos or videos that are not relevant to the context. I have to search, select and replay a lot of the footage myself, and that defeats the purpose of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used the platform to do a quick closed caption job. I loved the automatic caption feature. One does have to edit the captions as the voice recognition isn't 100% spot on but it only took a few minutes. One can also copy and paste script text into the caption field which is crazy helpful. Wave.video is an online tool - no need to download the software & install it on your computer. You can access your creative work from any device anywhere. The video tool itself is simple & easy to use, but packs some very good features which make it comparable with full feature professional video editing tools. Video editing is as simple as upload your assets, pick a template, drag & drop your assets (videos, images, logos, audio, etc.), add some text, music, animation, transitions, etc & your video is ready. The features I loved are auto resizing of video to suit different platforms - it just saves a lot of time straight away. The stock library of images, videos & audio is large - suited for most common video requirements is another good feature that makes everything happen right there on one platform. You can also have your own video landing page & video hosting service that comes with the tool. These make it very easy to create videos for all requirements. There are certain features for advanced users like it doesn't have an ability to edit images & videos - like say you want to correct contrast or brightness or add a hue. But again as I said if every feature is there - it may not be that easy to use. Another thing is the pricing - when it was launched there were not many alternatives, but now there are many which offer similar features at a much lower cost. Wave is an amazing video creation tool.

It supports both short-form and long-form videos. I use it mostly to make videos for my YouTube channels. Sometimes, I also use the Wave templates for promos and stuff.

Wave offers a first-class editor that keeps getting better every week. Yes, every week indeed. I've come across so many SaaS video editors. But Wave is the only tool that gets updated almost every week. Dmitry and Kirill are always there on Feature Fridays to show what they have added to the tool that week.

I used to use InVideo, but that was a pain in my neck. They were full of promises, but no action. That's when I switched to Wave. Glad I made that move. I can do everything I want w.r.t video creation in a short span of time.

If you compare the editos of famous tools like InVideo, WeVideo, Offeo, Vimeo Create, etc, Wave is top-class and in a completely different league. The UI/UX will blow your mind off.

A tool should speed up your process and make it simple. That's exactly what Wave does.
