What I like the most is the integration with Apple Wallet, which makes it easy to share contact information with just a few taps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven’t felt limited or noticed any disadvantages. Maybe it would be nice to have more options to customize the card’s colors and aesthetics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Let me be clear, I hate business cards. I hated ordering them, I hated carrying them around, and I hated the fact that when I gave them to people, they would toss it in their bag and completely forget about them. So instead, I would just recommend to exchange contact with potential clients. This all started when someone presented me a digital business card of a competitor brand and while that card was nice it didn’t offer all the features I was looking for or have a professional enough look that I wanted associated with my brand. From there, I began to search of available digital business card options, and landed on Wave. Customization is top-tier and the fact that I never have to purchase paper business cards ever again is the gift that just keeps on giving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like it if the Internet icon was better for webpage links I display. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I can control the messaging and stay on brand in the contact of someone else's phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was a bit of a learning curve. It would have been nice to see some examples of what people have done in the past for inspiration. Not knowing full possibilities before trying to design your own seems a bit much in the beginning. I wish there was a bit better onboarding so I knew the full functionality of the product. I feel like I'm under-utilizing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I recently started using Wave at a B2B industry event, and it has made my life a lot easier! No more dealing with paper business cards, everything is digital, seamless, and efficient. The platform is super intuitive, and exchanging contact details is effortless. It’s a must-have for anyone looking to digitize their networking experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only minor dislike is that some phone cameras take some time to pick up the QR code, which can create some awkward moments. But overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make their networking experience more seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy and convenient Wave makes networking. Sharing my contact details is effortless with NFC, QR codes, or a simple link. The fact that I can update my info in real-time without reprinting cards is a huge plus. It’s also a modern and eco-friendly alternative to traditional business cards, which makes it even better. It would be nice to have more premium features available in the basic version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did a lot of research on digital business cards before choosing a service/product. Wave was the obvious choice for me on the service level. Their service is simple, fully functional, and easy to setup.
On the NFC card side of things I wasn't expecting high quality, but honestly the website really undersells the quality of the standard NFC card that they sell. I got mine and was very surprised how high quality it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only ding I am going to give them on the support side. My order did a long time to process and ship. Long enough where I reached out through the websites AI bot, the contact support email, and through messages on LinkedIn. They didn't respond to any of them. I ended up seeing a phone number on their Facebook page which they did answer. When I asked for an update they told me that my order would go out that day, which it did. The wave card is so convenient! I have used it several times at networking events and just used it for the first time meeting someone randomly in public. I don't like having a lot on me or in my purse, so this is a perfect way to be able to provide others with your business and contact info! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like to be able to customize the wave business card more however this isn't the biggest issue. Having a clean interface like it currently does is enough to suffice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am absolutely impressed with the Metal NFC digital business card from Wave. The quality is superb. The heft is impressive, and it stands up very well in my wallet or convention badge lanyards. Replacing paper business cards is so much easier and I love being able to update my online profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very difficult to find anything to critique about the entire experience. I had an issue with the shop which was resolved quickly and cheerfully by the Wave staff. The product exceeds my expectations, and the app is both intuitive and stylish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm an attorney, and sometimes exchanging contact information with clients is forgotten when discussing the details of their case. With my card, I'm excited to whip it out, with my branding, to get us both the contact information immediately. Client contact is so important, and Wave makes it easy. The only complaint is that sometimes it can be difficult to get it to tap on first try. But it's always worked after two tries and I can't consider it a huge complaint. Plus, it has a QR code that always scans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wave Digital Business Card is an intuitive and efficient tool that simplifies professional contact sharing, and I love how I can access it directly from my smartwatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great to have more integration options with other professional tools (CRM, LinkedIn, etc.). Additionally, some people are not yet familiar with this digital format, which can limit its adoption in certain contexts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the idea of a digital card. My design business prides itself on sustainability, so we try to limit our paper usage as much as possible. The product is very easy to implement. I also like how any updates you make to the card automatically sync to the Apple Wallet card, so you don't have to re-add the card every time you change something.
I tend to use it pretty often because it's much more convenient than having to bring cards with me. I always have my phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Prefacing this by saying that out of all the digital business cards I researched, Wave has the best options and overall aesthetics. However, I wish there were more design options to better align the card with my branding. For example, my brand colors are black and white, so I avoid using the integrated social media icons and instead use "web links" for our instagram, LinkedIn, etc. to avoid the colorful logos.
My brand also uses two fonts, sans serif for headers and serif for paragraphs/other text, so the font options provided do not match my branding.
I also wish that the contact buttons and web buttons were treated with the same design. For the contact buttons the "title" input is treated like a subheader, while the actual information is treated like a header. This is not the same with web links. Only one text displays in the button, the "title", which makes the design inconsistent.
Finally, I'm not sure about the price. You can get a stack of 100 business cards for around $20 dollars. If you are only using this product as a business card and not for lead management, etc. but want access to the custom design options to better match your business's branding, then the price is very steep. For my team of 5, we would have to connect with over 125 people a month to break even, which isn't realistic for the sector we're in.
If there was an option to access the custom design options without CRM aspects or integrations then I'd be a lifelong customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
