"Using Watermark SLL for three years now."
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Report running is relatively easy, and tracking students across different semesters and placements is easy and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

I have no control over what data is generated in any report. Instead, I get all the data associated with a student, even if I have no need for that data in a report. And the techs indicate that this is not going to be available in the immediate future. As a result, whenever I run a report, I am able to include information (but it's really the information already selected by the designers), but if there is an unwanted category, I have to spend time stripping it out of the report. "SL&L has lived up to its billing"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Watermark Student Learning & Licensure has proven to be an exceptional platform that meets the diverse needs of administrators, faculty, and students alike. As an administrator, I appreciate its robust reporting capabilities and streamlined data collection, which have greatly improved our ability to track student performance, ensure accreditation readiness, and manage field placements with efficiency and confidence.

Faculty benefit from the platform’s customizable rubrics, user-friendly interface, and access to real-time data for assessment and curriculum improvement. It simplifies grading, enhances feedback consistency, and supports meaningful reflection on student learning outcomes.

From the student perspective, Watermark offers a clear and organized way to manage coursework, field experiences, and licensure documentation. Its intuitive design helps reduce stress and empowers students to take ownership of their progress toward professional readiness.

Overall, Watermark Student Learning & Licensure is a powerful, comprehensive tool that enhances academic quality, supports continuous improvement, and fosters student success at every level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Watermark SL&L for Assessment"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Watermark SL&L is a great tool for student summative assessment because of its easy to use and intuitive interface. It is also easy to onboard faculty members and train them on using the tool. Students typically do not require training because of the intuitive nature of the application. Most importantly, the Watermark SL&L support team are very friendly and always available to help troubleshoot and fix any reported issue(s), making it easy for my institution to keep using it on a large scale. The application integrates seamlessly with our LMS, including grade syncing. We are now in the second year of our use of Watermark SL&L, GSE-wise (Graduate School of Education). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

The downside is that Watermark SL&L requires heavy lifting for first time set up of the application. Building out all the standards, rubrics, and assessment templates is a bit burdensome and time consuming. However, once done, it is smooth sailing. Also, the Watermark SL&L team offered to help with building out the initial standards and rubrics, which was incredibly helpful for our product launch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great ePortfolio and assessment tool!"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

As the title suggests, I like its ePortfolio feature and the ways that it helps with assessment. The ePortfolio tool is easy to use with its drag-and-drop interface. I've incorporated this into classes and into our program's Capstone course, where all students create public-facing ePortfolios connecting their career, academic, and personal interests. It's easy to use for faculty and students.

For assessment, SL&L has really helped us implement and review measures of student leraning. We've developed seamless processes for easily integrating the uploading, evaluation, and analysis of student artifacts in our program. I write annual program reviews every year, and collecting and reporting the student learning data has become easier thanks to SL&L. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

There is a learning curve to the tools, particularly around the terminology for various actions. This can be confusing for students doing the ePortfolios (but once they learn terminology, it's easy), and it's definitely confusing for faculty doing assessment. I am good at training though, and Watermark's customer support is excellent, so we get there! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"best assessment management software available"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

SL&L allows us to track our assessment data and run reports by a number of factors including by standards, race/ethcity, semester, program, faculty, etc. This is essential for program improvement as well as for accreditation. Implementation was supported by the Watermark team and integrated with our student information system and learning management system. We use it every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

SL&L could use improvement in how they support student time sheets for non-education programs such as Counseling and School Counseling. We have identified a couple of improvements such as multiple time sheet categories and the ability for students to track their hours in real time, which are both needed as we pursue CACREP accreditation. "Efficient, Easy to learn, Excellent Outcomes"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

I like how simple and easy the interface is to use. As with anything new, it may take time to understand the ins-and-outs of the software, but once you know how to use it, it is seamless. When used for the purposes of our university, all relevant stakeholders are able to use it with very little issue. There are a number of features in regards to student licensure, such as assignment tracking or hour logs for credentialing purposes.

The customer support has also been top notch in resolving issues quickly and helpful in guiding our use as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

The only downside is sometimes new updates or releases are, in my opinion, not necessary. Why reinvent the wheel? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Product for Program Assessment"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Watermark's SL&L is, overall, a user-friendly product. From the administrative end (my primary role), it is easy to create rubrics and assessments, run reports, connect data to courses in Canvas, assign assessments and tasks to various courses, and more. It's fairly easy for instructors and students to navigate, including uploading assignments, self-assessing, faculty assessing, and keeping track of student progress and assessment scoring completion. We use it for edTPA uploading (also a pretty easy process that's connected with Pearson) and are starting to try out ePortfolios in the following years. The best feature is attaching any sets of content standards to rubric lines to run reports of program candidate proficiency on individual standards. Having come from Livetex C1, it's a dream compared to that. Help support is responsive, and I've seen a lot of user-generated ideas that turn into SL&L updates over the years, so it continues to be a better product for users in higher education. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

There are some issues with being able to hide or delete old versions of templates, so the template feature can get crowded and overloaded with old assessments. The functionality of the ePortfolio template is extremely limited, particularly comparing it to the rest of the platform. There is very little that can be modified, and it seems clunky. You can modify colors and add images, but the bulk of what you might want to do to make it more manageable isn't currently possible, from what I've found. You can't adjust the font of text in the portfolio section labels, you can't add lines or sections to separate portions of portfolio pages, and you can't view it as a student to see how the end product would look during the design. It ends up looking primitive and awkward compared to the rest of the SL&L features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Assessment Projects is a straightforward and user-friendly system of collective review."
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

We use SL&L for the Assessment Projects (AP) component. AP provides a user-friendly and straightforward way to gather student artifacts, evaluate learning, and create reports. Implementation is quick and relatively straightforward compared to other systems and the support team has been first-rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Assessment Projects (AP) is missing just a couple of key features that would be significant on the administrative side. However, the development team is constantly making enhancements and we have no doubt that new features will be released in this areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of Watermark's Student Learning and Liscensure"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

From a faculty point of view, we've found Watermark's SL&L to be fairly streamlined when completing assessment. SSO log in has been a game changer - faculty (and students) can quickly log in with their school credentials. We can train faculty to use the platform with a short video (instead of needed F2F sessions as the process was complicated to find assessment).

As an admin, once data has been entered, reporting is a breeze. I build a report, then can easily update each semester to pull the needed data. Our previous AMS took me hours per report - having to combine multiple csv files then use pivot tables and formulas to calculate data. What would take me a week of tedious work can now be finished in an hour or two. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

From an admin point of view, SL&L is not always super intuitive nor is it always the most user friendly. There is a high learning curve, and it's easy to get lost in the various areas to visit or number of clicks needed to complete or find basics. All of the moving back and forth make it easy to lose track of what is needed to be done/edited.

Customer support is OK and seems to be improving – however if something is going wrong, it can take a lot of time and back and forth to resolve. Also I sometimes feel like I'm ping-ponging between areas in Watermark to get something resolved. Especially after graduating out of implementation, and losing access to a dedicated/ more advanced support person to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tracking student learning & outcomes in Watermark =robust data collection for continuous improvement"
What do you like best about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

Tracking student learning and outcomes is more critical than ever before, and utilizing Watermark facilitates robust data collection that prompts continuous program improvement. Where the certification program is large or small, using Watermark helps with 1) systematically managing field experiences and placements; 2) streamlining grading an assessment for faculty; 3) embedding key program assessments in the LMS that are very easy to use. Most importantly, users who often typically have to engage with 5 plus digital data systems (banner, CRMs, Tableau, Qualtrics) can breath a sigh of relief that Watermake brings together so much data into one compehenisve system. It is already helping us identify places where our assessment processes can be better streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Watermark Student Learning & Licensure?

They need a back button! Seriously, there is nothing really that I dislike, and while set up takes time, it is intuitive and the Watermark team is responsive to any requests for additional assistance and they check in regularly on progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
