Anytime there has been an outage, the support was prompt and professional in their dealings. Vultr makes it easy to do almost anything, from dynamic DNS to commissioning new cloud computing. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** I wish Vultr's bare metal and dedicated services were a bit more cost-effective and competitive with some of their rivals. It seems Vultr is always out of Windows server licenses as well. **What problems is Vultr solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are many "problems" being solved with Vultr. From hosting full webpages to payment processor integrations/APIs, Vultr is covering it. Most DNS is handled by Vultr for us as well. ### 2. But it has the best servers in a lot of regions if someone and running a VOIP server like Asterisk or 3CX you can choose the closest region for you. I run servers in Miami and from Guatemala it has a ~30ms ping ### 4. They're able to offer servers instantly, which is a plus and I can really appreciate them being good with tech support, they're quick at replying to tech issues. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** Their billing department refused to assist me when I've offered to pay a few days late. Staff refused even to open a conversation, giving me attitude and just refusing point-blank. I also love how you can quickly get set up and work in less than 10 minutes. Vultr has an excellent support team that is very quick to respond and very friendly. I have been using their services for the past three months and have not experienced any downtime making them very reliable. Vultr is also a very cost-effective service. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** The one downside I have noticed is that I cannot configure a subdomain from the default settings panel. It would also be ideal if they provided a standalone MySQL and FTP service. **What problems is Vultr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vultr has solved the need for a dedicated infrastructure as it is all now in the cloud and managed by Vultr. Speeds are good with Cloud+Compute (+others?). Firewall is pretty basic but works well for small one off case. Nice one-click install of many apps and iso ready to go. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** Scaleability has to be one of the more important features, yet they dont offer it. On what planet is it good business sense to continually disallow a plan to be upscaled to a more expensive plan. This isnt a one-off and seems to be the norm, which is to say that for Singapore and Australia their plans are NOT scaleable. Its moronic to think we have to go through the potential problems of reserving your ip, snapshot, restore, transfer ip and then hope to god it boots ? **Recommendations to others considering Vultr:** Vultr have always been great except for scalability, which is imperative in the market. If you want to open port 25 or any ports, they start to argue with you about policies, and then they shut down your server that you have paid for if you don't agree with them. So in that case, you are going to lose all your data. I'm not wasting money and also the ability to quickly deploy a new server or destory an already existing server is quick and easy at just the press of a button. This is useful for someone in search of a healthy performance value versus cost. Vultr has several facilities, including cloud computing and block storage. The snapchats are also really helpful as they are now free **What do you dislike about Vultr?** If you have a strong knowledge of a linux setting like Ubuntu or Cent OS, Vultr is ideal. Otherwise the user may experience a steep learning curve. Their documents do not contain the same number of subjects when compared to the bigger FAQ / Tutorial portion of Digital Ocean. I really like how affordable it is to host Windows Servers in Vultr. They provide instructions on how to upload custom Windows ISO's to their servers and how to install it. By going this route, you get Windows cloud hosting for the price of linux hosting! They also provide Windows servers already licensed, but those are at a small premium. Also, for a third of the price, I am getting better performance than the VPS I tested on Azure and without the complication of setting up servers on Azure. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** I wish Vultr had more availability of block storage, as it stands, it is only available for VPS's in New Jersey/New York. Also block storage is a bit expensive, though in line with competitors like Digital Ocean. **Recommendations to others considering Vultr:** If you are considering hosting any Windows servers, definitely take a look at their documentation and save the extra premium by uploading your own ISO. Also, their pricing is by the hour, so you can test out the performance and only pay pennies to see if it will work for you or not. **What problems is Vultr solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am migrating my Windows RDS to the cloud. I'm more than impressed by their speed, customization, connectivity and support. while using Vultr its very easy to deploy your server, you can select from a wide range of customizations and connectivity options and that's it, you got your servers. the setup process is also really quick. another thing that I must mention is the choices of operational systems and scripts which are available for autoinstallation to the server is really great and you can do it at no extra cost except for windows. the pricing scheme is also great, they don't charge you a fixed monthly charge but hourly charges for use, which is great cause you only have to pay for what you used. **What do you dislike about Vultr?** the support is the only quality that makes Vultr better than the rest as this is not the cheapest server option there and many other services are more affordable but similar services. **Recommendations to others considering Vultr:** go with them, you won't be disappointed. **What problems is Vultr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vultr is a cloud VPS provider. ### 49.
