I was introduced to Vtiger over 8 years ago, the free version, and left that company. When I started at this company we were using another CRM which was just a drag. We then compared several different options and eventually settled for CRM on Demand from Vtiger.
CRM was just a database tool when we started it, and just short of 2 years later it has become the only tool in all our departments, even replacing several google sheets and physical paper systems we were using.
Vtiger now offers us a single point of view of our clients, their details, all documents related to that client, who the agent is that brought us that client, the revenue and cost of each client, either from the start or over designated period, profitibility of clients in region, notifications for upgrades, follow ups, clients visits, amount of visits to client, from a targets points of view we can see where we are with our targets any day of the month, and our pipeline.
All our support cases is handled on Vtiger, projects, sales, which allows us to report on absolutely anything of any client. When I sit infront of a client I can pull of their entire history, from support cases, to sales, support, billing, the implementation of their project, including time lines.
This is by far the most important tool and has saved me hours upon hours of excel / sheet reporting, with considerably more accurate information. One thing I would like to see is the ability to report across more modules.
There has been a few limitations, which I have mostly been able to get around. I have not kept record of this, as mostly I have found a way around it.
The limit on workflows is a downside for us, we will be upgrading to accommodate more workflows as we will be adding one of our other offices in another city, then we will need considerably more workflows to accommodate them as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing is that vTiger allows you to customize its modules and also create your very own ones
vTiger has enough features to take your CRM to requeriments you need, this includes:
*Following a sales funnel from the opportunity until the Invoicing process
*Capability to integrate easily with another platforms
*Print adn email templates where you can use the default ones or develop your own using advacing text editors or, if you are well skilled, in HTML using basic CSS you can get awesome templates.
*Backtrack: You can always know what your users do in each record
*Customer and employee portals: here you can allow to your clientes and also to your employees to have an external access to vTiger platform where you can control and manage what do they see there and they have the chance to create tickets or cases aswell.
*Chat support: Its easy to get support via chat without having to deal with an I.A. which in most cases are useless or not helpfull at all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From my experience there are few features which can actually be upgraded to another level:
*Print templates: It is right you can do awesome print templates using HTML and CSS, but it would be even better if it allowed you to use more advanced CSS features
*Changes in new features: Sometimes it happens when a new feature is deployed for testing purposes it has certain capabilities, these capabilities change without any notification when the feature its officially launched.
*More functions in print templates, workflows and process desginer: Nowindays you can take to another level your print templates using additional functions like sums, if, date functions, etc. But it would be helpful to have a "CASE" statement or several if's (which this feature exist only in workflows). Its a friendly user CRM i use in managing accounts. Like, When I need to get the client details. Creating a proposals for clients. Also, extracting funnel reports gives a lot of convenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue that I can see is. I have a difficulty in editing my proposals once I downloaded it, its already a PDF. I hope, theres an option to download it in Word, so I can edit necessary details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest help from vtiger is being able to provide tracking tools to customers to improve their customer support. Create solid databases, assignment of tasks and pertinent activities for each client, a complete vision is obtained at the organizational level and with various approaches such as commercial, marketing, strategic, among others. It covers most of our business needs whether it is Sales Automation or Sales funnel. It is easy to adapt and the reporting functionality is one of the best features I have came across which allows you to track and follow up on customers very easily. The Mobile App version is not that much easy to use. It is a little bit cumbersome and the customer information fields need to be added in order to not leave blank space to fill it manually. I dislike the reporting and user interface. The reporting glitches constantly and sometimes does not even load. It often times won't pull all of the information I need in the different modules and is very unreliable. The CRM as a whole is incredibly slow and is not efficient in its loading of subcategories either. It has cost our company a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
