I have recommended Vimeo to people for each of these properties individually and used both options myself — we've also done awesome things like embed a Vimeo live stream into our community platform and then have the recording auto-embedded after the event. The only thing that comes to mind is that repositioning the videos can take a while when you're doing it in bulk. I was also hoping to download a stock video before buying it, as I need to submit content drafts for review from brand campaigns sometimes, and I don't want to pay for stock videos I may not use in my final content version. It offers private links, password links, the ability to screen record which is great if you are needing to make a proof of concept teaser, has decent editing functions (although limited) and integrates well with websites. **What do you dislike about Vimeo?** My only real complaint is when trying to use Vimeo as a streaming platform service, especially when working with partnering venues. You have to upload your film for each particular screening event. Personally, it would make life a lot easier if you can use the same video link but change your screening options (ticketed, free, expiration dates, discount codes, offer donation or choose your own ticket price) for each event and give its own unique link. **What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?** sharing videos privately mostly. Live streaming has not had too many issues, though occasionally also stops working. **What do you dislike about Vimeo?** Everything about their company. Their level of technical support, the aggressive billing policies and the way they close your account with no warning, absolutely abysmal communication and a radio silent account manager for smaller accounts. Documentation on the API is garbage. Simple things that should be easy to do are not - like access livestream analytics. Everything is an upsell. Bandwidth costs are amongst the higher end of the services out there. You pay a LOT for the front-end relatively crappy interface they give you. We have vendor lock-in otherwise I would have ditched this dumpster fire of a company a long time ago. **Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:** Never ever ever use this service if you can avoid it. It will not scale with you. Support is terrible. Documentation is abysmal. You will regret it every single day. For my purposes of online and digital marketing, these videos/clips are incredibly helpful to help pull the videos together if we either don't have the footage we need or if we need any filler film. Vimeo is super easy to use and is accessible to any and everyone which makes the content available massively expansive. They market themselves as the "all-in-one video solution" and this is very true because you can do everything you need to right there. **What do you dislike about Vimeo?** I have a Basic membership which is more or less fine for what I need, but I do know that most of my issues would be solved with one of their paid plans -unlimited screen recording, private projects, livesteaming, etc. **What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vimeo both gives us access to a hosted database of stock videos and allows us to create video marketing that we would otherwise have to find a secondary app for.
