Simple setup, easy-to-understand interface, and well-documented. I was able to upload and link to existing video content with no issues. Setting up a website, embedding in existing site, and setting up custom domain were straightforward. I appreciated that, as a beginner to this sphere, all this was easy to do without watching tutorial vids or contacting support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found that some of the filtering options in the media manager did not work as intended. I also felt that simple reordering of the videos via drag-and-drop could get wieldy. If you have hundreds of vids (as I do), you could save yourself some time by being intentional about the order in which you add them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like it and I think it has potential for growth. I created my channel, internal website and the next step is to create the APP on Roku to view it on TV. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would have liked to be able to manage overlay advertising insertions on the videos in the schedule so as not to have to insert them in each video and to be able to update them without having to retouch the individual videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity. We needed a simple CDN solution that would allow us to create a "channel" for each client for whom we create video training. There are a lot of CDNs to choose from, but we didn't need the typical complexity for this application. Viloud gave us an easy way to create client channels, web pages, and embed codes for more our client training portals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I would suggest, and it's not a "dislike" as much as it is a feature request, is that it would be fantstic if we could create categories within channels. We get around it easily, but that would be a cool feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Viloud is easy to navigate and the tutorials are very helpful for beginners like us. Upload files are pretty quick and can be used on multiple channels. We have figured out how to place ads in our content and place in the VOD to help draw attention to business and organizations that want us to do for them.... Example here and it is at the 5:30 mark .... https://app.viloud.tv/watch/channel/14878db9af6bcb256a33fc831df52623/video/1877223aae9c03052d5871effdbcec0b Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As mentioned, we are starting out, so we haven't figured out exactly how the video tags work to insert ads directly into our content, but we are confident the team will help us navigate that system. That has been the part we haven't liked so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to learn and good support with initial questions. Within 24 hours, we had a preliminary channel up in our own domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only suggestion would be a 1 minute video training highlighting differences between scheduled and looped channels Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to develop your own TV channel. Easy to integrate the player on 3rd party tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much custom options for player. Would be nice to have more options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Viloud is very reliable in terms of stability. The fact that files from elsewhere can be imported and not charged against Viloud bandwidth is excellent. The scheduler and playlist featres are top notch, and the ability to have up to five different channels is outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a bit costly to store files on Viloud's cloud, the playlist function will not work when importing playlists from CDNs and the m3u8 link in order to farm out to a Roku channel is very expenisve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I expected a clunky and complicated solution for online tv channels, but Viloud is very easy to set up. However, at the same time, the resulting tv channels are fantastic! I hesitated because I thought managing a TV channel would take so much time, but it didn't. Both streaming and on-demand channels work brilliantly and have a great look. Nothing. Well, they certainly could add more translations. I don't know if this is possible, but some interactive features like polling would be incredibly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
