I've tried filmora wondershare, videoproc vlogger, lightworks, cyberlink powerdirector, adobe premiere pro 2022, davinci resolve, pinnacle studio, openshot, shotcut and NCH Videopad.
I like videopad the best. It features many functions absent in competitors, such as stopwatch timecode, star wars intro text, line drawing, and freedom of transformation in text and templates. Moreover, their customer support through peers is great, and the programmers listen to the issues and bugs report and suggestions. Constant improvement is available.
This is a video I made with videopad that the competitors would not have the functions needed to make, or otherwise being very complex and time-consuming in steps to make:

Currently, the export speed is not on par with the top tier program like premiere pro and davinci resolve, and some bugs exist, but they are working on improving it already. So I'm not too worried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VideoPad is a user-friendly and feature-rich video editing software that offers sufficient tools and effects for editing videos. VideoPad offers a free version with limited features, as well as a paid version with more advanced features at an affordable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While VideoPad is a feature-rich video editor, it may not offer the same level of advanced functionality as some other professional-grade video editing software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was effortless for a novice like myself to use with the controls being reasonably intuitive. I started the video with no idea how I would do what I wanted or if it was possible. I was able to figure out how to accomplish what I needed to and much more quickly than I would have thought. I also loved that it had common platforms, such as Google Drive and YouTube, already set up for exporting the video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having to start over when I made a mistake because I didn't know a better way. I have used very simple video creation software before. So many options confused me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is fairly easy to use. The layout is logical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like the way one has to move around in the "clip." Also... I found that it really is important to understand how "files," "clips" and "sequences inter-relate and there does not seem to be a glossary anywhere to figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VideoPad is a simple video editor which is good for anybody to use to record videos etc, or to edit any quick videos. It's lightweight and easy to use. There is a free version for anybody wanting to just test out the software and this allows people to get a good taste of what they are paying for (if they like the software and decide to pay for it). There are a couple flaws with VideoPad, the program is not the most stable and can experience some performance issues whilst using it. The user interface is pretty old and outdated (something like Windows Movie Maker) and there is little to no support for animated videos with special effects etc. It's a simple video editor. There are many options to add transitions, control sound on video, add voice over or music as well as captions and/or titles. With titles, they can be adjusted to type of text, size, fill and if it moves across the screen. One transition that I use at the end of most videos is the screen changing with a heart shape. Photos are easily added between videos and can have the time they are displayed easily adjusted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Playback can be rather choppy. Often I have to save the project and then view it to see if it is what I want. Also, it would be nice to have the ability to edit 360 photos to remove tripod legs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
