What do you like best about Veyon?

The best thing about this software is that it is open-source, free, and works very well. It will facilitate the educational and learning work in your students. The interface is very intuitive. The software is robust. It is lightweight, doesn't take up much space, and can be easily downloaded in its client and server versions from the official website. The support offered on the website is quite good, gathering a collection of use cases with frequent errors that help ensure its installation is generally complete and successful. What do you dislike about Veyon?

It is somewhat complicated to install. We have encountered some problems when communicating between client and server. But nothing that can't be solved with a bit of dedication. The platform's website also offers numerous FAQs that help a lot in overcoming the errors encountered. I miss some tool for sharing folders or correcting practices, as well as others for carrying out collaborative work among different users, forming groups for example. What do you like best about Veyon?

I am a proctor and the facilities like text message, remote view and remote control are really helpful for me to do my job. The screenshot option is really good. I can take screenshot of what students are doing and if they are cheating, its easier for me to take the proof. I don't have to go to every single computer to input the passwords and also rebooting is easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Veyon?

The only thing that I dont like about veyon master is that after the internet connection is gone, the whole page goes blank. So I have to close the software and click on it again. I think its a waste of time because at least 100 students will come to write exam everyday. I dont have time to close and open the application every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Veyon?

The best part of Veyon was definitely its price (free!), but I have had positive experiences with it from the start- easy install, easy navigation, and subtle presence on the monitored computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Veyon?

The reception for the monitors is a little laggy; if students are viewing a video, I can only see a frame every so often, and while not incredibly inconvenient, it just makes the experience slightly harder on the eyes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Veyon?

Veyon is the ideal software for classroom control from the teacher's PC. The best part is that it is cross-platform, with versions available for Linux and Windows. It is free software and can be downloaded for free from its official website or the Linux repository. It must be installed on both the teacher's and students' machines. It will allow us to easily see which pages the students visit and remove them from it from our teacher's equipment. We can also block Internet access in the entire classroom while we are giving a lecture and lock the students' equipment, or force them to view the remote broadcast of our desktop with a PowerPoint, for example, so they can follow it from their equipment if we don't have a projector in the classroom. What do you dislike about Veyon?

The installation process is somewhat long and cumbersome. First, it must be installed on the server. The role of each machine must be configured, and the security keys established. Sometimes it has crashed and not worked well, but it was fixed by restarting the application. The process of creating the classrooms and adding the equipment takes time and a minimum study of the program's operation, as it is not very simple. We can start, restart, or shut down all client devices connected to the pc-teacher program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
