## Vev Reviews
  ### 1. Vev Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Best part of Vev is that it is easy to use and no coding experience is required. I have used Vev for designing a website. There are various widgets and tools (like code editor) which makes it easy for our designer team members to launch the website with the required designs. Plus their support is excellent via Slack.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Their are numerous widgets and tools for the right designer. However it may take time to find out the right tool for an intermediate level designer. Also we noticed duplication of images once uploaded and the content (like articles) may not look the same in preview mode. So, I think the documentation needs to be more detailed.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

It is a very good tool for any new business or start ups. I think that it is on par with other big players in the market. But there is a lot of opportunity for Vev to grow.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently me and my team are using Vev to to improve our website like landing page, content etc.

  ### 2. Intuitive and fun

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian D. | Grafisk designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I like the simplicity of the user interface. It has been possible to start producing professional solutions in VEV from the first moment without relevant experience. This has also made it possible to deliver playful designs without being limited by lack of experience and technical knowledge. Specifically, I love that it is possible to use Lottie animations created in Adobe After Effects. This is a feature that really takes this solution to another level for me. I also like the additional apps which can be added through the Vev Store. I like many of the design features which is similar to features found in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, such as smart guides and familiar keyboard shortcuts.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I have had some challenges when scaling designs across devices. I also had some issues with the undo-function. A couple of times I've had problems with slide-bars that don't stop scrolling when I'm finished using them.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Vev makes it easy to present content in an engaging and interactive way. It is easy to use, even without relevant experience. And this will impress your customers without using too much time and energy.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To present relatively large amounts of information in a playful way. Especially reaching the youth has been a lot easier using Vev. As a traditional graphic designer and motion designer without experience in UX-design, Vev has given me the tools to create impressive digital designs.

  ### 3. Promising tool with some surprising features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Ease of adding and placing elements within a section / prototyping

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Lots of tools and information, a bit overwhelming

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Start by just playing with the tools. I found this to be more helpful than the example projects.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created a solid container for scrolling content over a full-browser 3D environment

  ### 4. CMS of the future

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ho Yuen M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

The premium support these guys offer is absolutely valuable. They know their stuff and always on hand when you need them. To manage, build and design a page in a Photoshop-esque way enables us to turn around pages in quick time. They've certainly thought of how a designer and developer collaborate which I believe is the key to their system.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

You get the odd glitch here and there but all young companies have their teething problems. They take negative feedback on board without being too negative about it.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deployment to a S3 seemed to be a struggle at first but I've fed back ways they can improve the interface with the user.

  ### 5. Like InDesign for the web

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anders S. | Art Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

After having worked with standard CMS article templates for some years, it's a big step forward to finally be able to create something from a blank canvas. I have used Vev for almost a year now, but feel that I have just scratched the surface yet of what's possible to achieve. If you are used to working in InDesign, the interface will feel pretty familiar, so the transition from print layout to web layout is not a huge step. Also, the customer service and communication is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

As with every new service, there will be bugs (and I really know how to find them). Vev is no different, but as mentioned, we have great direct communications, so such issues are dealt with in a satisfactory manner.
And, at this time, most things in Vev are still very "manual". You have full control, but then it also takes time to tweak and adjust every element to your liking. So it's not entirely made for a fast paced newspaper schedule, but with time, I suspect more of this will be automated.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer need developers to create great feature stories (BUT we can involve them to work on custom widgets, which is very nice).

  ### 6. Easy, fast and friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus K. | Tech Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Lightweight, no legacy code, easy. We are able to be up and running in no time at all. The editor also provides our Graphic Designers to create stunning designs that don't have to go through the process of conversion to code.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

It's a growing and evolving ecosystem. There are still a few bugs here and there, but the support from the Vev-team make you overlook those minor issues as they resolve them at lightening speed.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

If you are looking for a lightweight and nimble solution that is very easy for content creators to use Vev is for you. If there is the need for complex database integrations and other third-party systems I would contact the support staff first to make sure Vev is the way to go.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We produce AAA content for our clients with fewer resources than ever before. The development costs have lowered thanks to the intuitive and easy to use Vev editor that makes reality of the late 90ies promise of WYSIWYG.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Marcus!

  ### 7. I have already recommended it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M. Verónica C. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

As a long time adobe software user I love how easy it is to adjust to Vev. Since most of the tools and commands work with a similar logic it made it really easy for me to adjust to Vev. I have enjoyed the ability to intuitively design and publish a site from scratch in a fully visual and flexible way. I also really enjoyed how easy it is to edit multiple screen sizes within Vev, and the transitions when things are loading. I quite like the geek sense of humor of it!

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I like the display, but I would like the option to see all of the elements of a site at once as well. Maybe if we could switch views or something. Also it would be incredible if the tutorials section gets more work done, so far the ones available are good and super clear and I would really like to learn more about the potential of the too.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

If you are an Adobe software user I would recommend to start using Vev immediately, it will take you no time learning the tools since they work with the same logic it will take you no time to adjust to the new technology. I recommend to go over some of the basic tutorials in the beginning and experiment.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We launched the new EnlightAID website using Vev. It provided us with a flexible canvas in which we were free to create the site as we wanted, adjust it to different sizes giving us great mobile and desktop responsiveness. Furthermore, after launching the website we have done continuous improvements of it, adding and tweaking certain components and relaunching it immediately. This is probably my favourite feature of Vev!

  ### 8. The best tool fo building websites without knowing code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marianne R. | Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I love that you can design for desktop, tablet and mobile independently. You don´t have to just settle with a design that is chosen by a module. You decide how everything should look on each device. It is also easy to change/update and publish. The changes usually go live after a few seconds.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I think that it should be an easier way for me (as a person that does not understand code etc) to publish a new website on a new domain without needing help form the VEV-team. Also I wish that I could find more solutions to problems on their help-site.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

VEV gives you the freedom to design your way. You will be able to make a website just as you had imagined it in your head. With all the new widgets, it will look modern and feel like a project you can be proud of.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using VEV to almost everything. We are building salesposters in articles, websites and sometimes platforms for information we only want to give to some users, using only the VEV-link.

  ### 9. Vev Review from Junior Coder

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylvio C. | Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I really like the customer service provided by Vev, specially in Slack. The team replies very quickly and always give good feedback. I also like the interface and how it resembles the Adobe package - I am a designer, not a real developer, so it makes it very easy for me to use the platform when it is that easy and like the programs I usually work with.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Because the whole platform is very design-oriented, it takes time to get into the widget builder because it so suddenly shifts into a more code-heavy mindset. I do know html and css, but not being fluent in JavaScript, specially doing React, makes it so it is quite hard for me to fully use the widget builder to it's fullest. I do understand that it might not be possible, but making the coding features more design-oriented could make it easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Very natural interface, specially if experienced in the Adobe package. Would recommend to designers who want/need to build webpages.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating easy editable solutions for blog posts. I work with writers who really like how I can set ut a page that they can easily add content. I have been working on digitally improving content that usually is given physically, so having the tools to integrate different kinds of media makes my products a whole lot more enjoyable and fun to consume. I am also the only one in my team with any coding skills, so having a platform that is more visual makes it much easier to collaborate.

  ### 10. Intuitive, user-friendly tool that makes you feel like a developer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** June L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Vev has a user-friendly interface that helps the user to navigate through the platform without having to learn new key commands or functionalities — if you are familiar with using any Adobe products, your workflow will be much smoother. Especially if you have used Adobe Animate in the past, a lot of the functionalities transfer over. Also, Vev offers a variety of presets and gadgets that you can simply download and apply to your project. The interface also allows you to collaborate with your teammate, including copywriter, developer, not just the designers.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I noticed that some functionalities were still a bit buggy, but upon restart, the bug was fixed. The only thing I wished that Vev had available is more resources on tutorials and forums. They have a resource center with very helpful FAQ's and hold webinars from time to time (I think) but I would love to see more tutorials on how to use some of the gadgets from the Store.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

If you want a professional, easy-to-use, modern platform for your projects, this is the tool that every web designers, developers, and agencies will need!

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned above, some functionalities (e.g. using the scroll animation on your own design elements) were a big buggy; however, the benefits of the program is that Vev offers so many presets and functionalities that you can simply download and use throughout your website without heavy coding. Another great part about Vev is that everything is stored in the cloud so you don't necessarily have to worry about losing any elements. Also, if you have your own animation or effects created via AfterEffects, Vev makes it so easy to transfer those files into Vev. You can also preview your project without having to upload anything onto the server, and the interface it makes it easy to switch back and forth from Design View to Published View.

  ### 11. Happy customer, perfect for my needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Espen I. | Plakat og design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Vev is extremely easy to use and very intuitive. I have tried other sites, which in my experience was counter-creative. With Vevs user experience it was a creative process. You can drop and drag files wherever you please, change mode between computer, phone and tablet viewing mode in a heartbeat and creating links with outside content easily as they have many sites built into their options. My webpage turned out exactly as I imagined. When I had some questions, the staff was quick to reply and helped me solve my issues. I have already recommended Vev to friends and wanted to take this opportunity to do it online as well.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I was only missing an external link funtion to link to Soundcloud.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I finally got to make a webpage to present my artistic work, which is easy to update and fun to use.

  ### 12. Quick and easy, great for collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jostein B. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

The ability to create your own widgets in React is great, and allows for some great flexibility. The split between designer and content editor means that non-programmers can do a significant amount of the work, saving time and resources. Continuous improvements and great support from the team

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

While better than before, there are still performance issues, especially on larger projects. No access to npm while create your own widgets means that you can't use libraries, and have to make things from scratch. Small things here and there where you can feel the React state management in the background

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removed a lot of double work that was being done by allowing non-developers to do much of the design work themselves. Also saved us a significant amount of time when creating a larger project consisting of dozens of pages.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Jostein! We're releasing a huge update pretty soon, which will improve the performance greatly. :)

  ### 13. Easy to use and a lot of design options.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Almost infinite posibilities when it comes to lay out.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I wish it could customize automatically for all devices.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customize content.

  ### 14. The rise of a unique digital experience builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rudy A. | Photographe, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

User Interface: I pay a lot of attention to that in web-based software is its user interface. VEV's one is very well crafted with neat micro-interactions for the best onboarding and digital design creation experience.

Workspace: I was delighted to be able to share with collaborators, set colors and fonts (Google + Custom). This is a great way to start on the right foot!

Design Space: The main space where all happen with robust architecture for me to unleash the unlimited power of digital design with layout sections, colors and gradients management on the flow, Unsplash integration, videos built-in encoding engine, typography full control, vector icons editability, granular styles feature for typographic/graphic element... All functional features that an experienced designer/digital designer expects to use for the best creative and effective workflow.

Vev Store: The new interactive components library gives me a versatile power to implement efficient and beautiful dynamic interactions and animations. Lottie integration is one of my favorites, as video and audio integrations give a full range of access to well known third party providers. This store is just the beginning, as the Vev team constantly updates with digital industry best animation tools in mind. A must take into consideration!

Animations: From their starting library of animations (i.e On Load, On Hover, On Click...) that will certainly grow, I particularly love the layers of scenarios you can develop just for one category of animations. I loved the quality of animated thumbnails previews of each property. All combinations are possible to get out of the box of your imagination realtime in canevas and preview mode. From simple to complex animations, you decide!

Project Status: in the Design Space, I was enchanted to discover the implementation of the well known Agile status markups, that VEV adapted to its DNA: Needs Reviews, On Hold, In Progress, Ready to Publish. I experienced that you can only Publish when project status is marked as Ready to Publish. Perfect for evolutive collaborating workflows!

Page Settings: A dream come true with a complete built-in easy to set standard features for SEO. Realtime display for Facebook and Google previews, when filling fields like Page Title and Description. Also, tabs like "Home, Set as 404, Set Photo, Reset Photo" are so relevant and efficient about obviousness. Cheery on the cake, you can mark the status for each page. So smart for staging purposes!

Code: No code, no web, no web-app, no app! This is the DNA of the Web as a fact. I am not coder, and I will never be one. As I am understanding the fundamentals of Code. I am a Digital Designer! The best thing is to be able to reunite Designers and Coders in a relevant, efficient collaboration to reach the highest creativity, innovation, and having fun together (why not?). This is possible in some emerging web-based site builders, as VEV makes it its way with the promising Project Widget, where custom widget creation is the no-limit feature to craft and publish the impossible!

Miscellaneous: Guides and Grid is a promising feature that will bring a granular way of work for those who love to layout with a grid (I am one of those). Shortcuts are well documented with intuitively in mind, to accelerate your in-context design flow.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Section on Canvas: I still confused about the behavior of the section when scrolling the whole project on canvas. The first and the last section are not fixed to indicate the start and the end of your page. That works perfectly when clicking a section on Layers sidebar.

Responsiveness: As this feature works fine, I would love to have an automatic responsive layout result for mobile device allowed me to refine them to reach an adaptive experience. But the design experience customization for each device without any effect on all of them is working great.

Missing Features: Not a dislike, but an indicative request to reach the top-notch built-in features spectrum. I think specifically about e-commerce widgets, dynamic data integration, dynamic content widgets.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

As VEV claims it's a web design platform for professionals, I would certainly say it is a digital experience builder for (high) professionals. That's the way I felt when onboarding the first time with a superb welcoming and responsive Customer Success Managers team for outstanding debriefings.

Don't get me wrong, VEV is for every kind of professionals designers who seeking an evolutive web-based software for creating unique websites. The only thing you will have to take into consideration is to ingest its learning curve, as you will realize how far you can go with it.

But if you are a kind of power user who wants to unleash your creativity without limit (even with a coder for an exceptional collaboration), you will be not deceived. This 'Beast' will be yours!

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a digital designer who loves thinking and crafting fullscreen for unique digital experiences. VEV stands as a powerful and limitless solution for that purpose. From that benefit, the only thing matters to me are learning this tool at its highest point to prospect and deliver meaningful, useful and wonderful digital experiences for prestigious clients.

  ### 15. Vev is Powerfull and Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy G. | Lead Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Really Fast, Easy to use. The interface makes it feel like a design tool. Our team is using Sketch as design tool and its really fast to export all the assets and import them into Vev. This way we can create really stunning designs.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

For now our team didn't find anything that we did not liked about Vev, we still need to figure out allot though.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Just try it out! i think you'll get a good taste of what Vev is all about.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Vev for a couple of projects now and we are currently implementing more projects.

  ### 16. Easy to create custom made webpages that clients will pay extra for

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

The interface is easy to understand - especially if you already know Adobe Creative Cloud products like Photoshop and illustrator. Updates come often so there is always new widgets and features. When challenges arise we contact Vev and they are always quickly to replay and find a solution.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

It seems that there isn't always a correlation between what you see on your website in preview-mode and what you see on a computer or phone when you've published the website. This just means that you have to do more testing but fair enough considering how easy it is to scale your website from desktop to phone.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our workflow is significantly easier after we starting using Vev to create webpages for our clients. We use to create a mockup that we send to a developer that then made the website. This gave us very little space for correcting and making changes along way but was also more expensive. Now when charging clients for a website the majority is profit. We can accommodate clients needs much easier.

  ### 17. Genuine professional web builder - done right!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bendik R. | Founding Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

As a user I like the hands-on GUI, which may seem a bit daunting at first, but is such a powerful editor and tool as soon as you get a bit familiar with it.
As a developer I'm soothed by the fact that the GUI and the (resulting) code is tightly coupled in quite a beautiful and good way -- which I know for a fact isn't something that is easy to do right.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

The learning curve to start building useful sites is still a little steep, in my opinion. I can tell it's getting better by the week though, with the help of more on-point documentation and good templates.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vev has helped me building incredible looking web pages in a matter of minutes, without having to worry about deployment/hosting, licensing fees or even local development software/environment - as it's all done right inside the comfort of my own web browser.

  ### 18. User-friendly and a powerful tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Malin P. | Tech manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

What I really like about Vev is that it's so fast and easy to use. You as a designer could be up and running with a project in no time and you have a lot of freedom with the creating since you don't have to code everything. So you can just focus in the visuals and making your site look good. Plus the support is first class!

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

The only "negative" thing is that some bugs occur but the Vev-support is so fast and helpful so I don't see this as a problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Just log in, start a project and just create. The more time you give it the better your designs will get! And if you're having problems – just contact the support. They are fast and super nice to talk to.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since you don't have to code everything (only if you want some customized widget) we don't have to include external developers. And not to mention the time that we save. So this is a very easy and efficient tool that has helped us to create even better and more beautiful content.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Malin!

  ### 19. Good for simple content and sketching, too unreliable for "heavier" work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stian S. | Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

User friendly and intuitive in most ways. Lots of easily applied options and animations for quick sketching and mockups for ourselves and clients.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Too unreliable, especially when it comes to animations, and when setting up websites with several pages the outcome might vary from page to page even though the content is identically set up. Often the outcome from the preview is drastically different from the actually published page.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content cases are being solved quickly and looks great. Also a quick way for us to mock up or own website for future redesign.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thanks for the feedback, Stian.

We believe that the different outcomes you're referring to might be because of percentage heights on some pages instead of pixel heights. To nail positioning and percentage height, have a look at these articles: https://help.vev.design/hc/en-us/articles/360018904394-Sections and https://help.vev.design/hc/en-us/articles/360022672373-Origin.

We'd love some more feedback on your issues with animations.

  ### 20. Great, flexible platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thea Kristin H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Vev?**

We don't depend that much on the developers anymore

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

There are some functions that are not intuitive when you're not experienced. It also freezes A LOT when working in it

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can make a lot of things ourselves (sales posters, infeeds, touchpoints etc.) without the development team

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Hi Thea! Thanks for your feedback. We have been in contact with your team about the issue and discovered that some of your developers were pushing their components without testing (making your projects freeze). We have instructed them on how to test before sharing components. Let us know if you are still facing these issues and we'll assist.

  ### 21. An invaluable and powerful tool for a designer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilie H. | Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Vev is extremely intuitive and easy to use. I was able to start creating visuals from the moment I logged in. It’s an intuitive system that’s easy to learn, flexible and powerful. It's easy to be creative and test new ideas without having to involve our developers. This makes our design process cost effective and enables us to quickly sketch up solutions to our customers.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

There are some tiny bugs, but nothing that the support team doesn’t solve for in an instance. Their quick-response time ensures that I’m getting the help I need in no time!

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Contact the team behind the Web to determine if the tool is for you or your business. It is definitely worth it.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m able to create high quality articles and websites without having to include our developers. There is no longer any need to hard code my designs, and what I create can easily be reused for new projects. Vev has streamlined our daily lives, and made it possible for us to work more efficiently while maintaining the high quality.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Emilie!

  ### 22. One of the most powerful web editors out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Snorre Lothar v. | Co-Founder, CTO and blockchain expert, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Im a techie, and I lowed the tools and powerful ways to design your webpage! It was definitely fun to work with, and I was able to everything I wanted in that tool!

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Not much, it is early so any bugs or anything I would just expect. Maybe a simpler hosting mechanism would be nice. Integrations with simple things like firebase or other static content hosters. A future CMS would be nice.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast iteration on simple webpages. A great variety of good out of the box tools and components.

  ### 23. Super simple - yet imensly powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Björn Audunn B. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

The best part of Vev is its simplicity. You will have only half a day on-boarding if you are a skilled designer - at a max. You do not need to be a web-designer with code skills to be able to create amazing web-sites. At the same time, there are no barrieres for coders to do their magic if required. Support is by far the best I have experienced on any product in this category.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

There are a still a few bugs here and there, but nothing that have affected production. Navigation between projects and pages could be more intuitive, but its ok as you get used to it.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pressworks is a content marketing agency and we often produce rich storytelling websites for our clients. Vev dramatically reduces production time and makes it a hole lot simpler to design and redesign concept ideas.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Björn! We'll see what we can do regarding the navigation UX.

  ### 24. Brings innovation to the hands of editors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I love that vev is available for storywriters as myself, and that we all the time can think new ideas around how to present the story. It has such a big impact on how we create. And it is superfun to think text, photo, aninmation and video in the same context.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

There are some features that are not that intuitive to get to know, and one might struggle a little to get it right. So for some people vev is simply to advanced. But hey, thats how is it with everything in life, right?

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am handing beautiful content to clients with not-so-beautiful websites.

  ### 25. Hands on, fast, fun and powerful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip G. | Redaktionell designer, redaktör och skribent, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Being a creative and by storytelling driven content producing designer whatever Vev make my life easier. The tool allows me to have a workflow where I can try out designs and visual storytelling techniques – without bothering (or including) other people than myself with my ideas. Even though I have pretty much zero code and developing experience I've been able to create polished – hell, even award winning – websites (focused on storytelling) very much appreciated by clients, users and (!) even myself.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

I would like to see (or at least be able to buy) more additional widgets – tweakable menus, check boxes, swipes, and stuff like that.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Just try it out and see for yourself!

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think my first answer works here too :)

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Philip! The Vev Store with widgets is now live and we'll keep improving it. :)

  ### 26. Create functional design with no coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yvonne R. | Project Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

Hos easy it is to re-use design from one project to an other.
Also I like the fast response from Vev support

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Refresh before panic! It is still a bott buggy but are getting better.
No versioning and no owner/userdata on the different projects
Waiting for widget-bank-functionallity

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Refresh before panick 😬
Although vev is not perfekt the benefits surpass the dowsidea by far

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enanlimg NON tech and designers creating landingpages, editing sites and creating salesposters with webhooks.
It has saved us time and enabled innovation for the designers and product developers - noe they OWN the whole prosess from design to production

  ### 27. Exciting platform, awesome support.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lars Erik F. | Art Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I love how fast you can set up landing pages, articles etc without having to use any code at all. For me as a designer with limited programming skills , i'ts refreshing to be able to create layouts fast and easy. They are adding new features at a regular basis which opens up new possibilities when designing. The customer support is fast and friendly too!

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

There are still some bugs and hiccups here and there, but i have always gotten great support and fixes for them. I am sure this will not be a problem further down the pipe-line.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating premium articles, which gives ut the possibility to add interesting storytelling elements like animation, videos, embeds etc.

**Official Response from Mats Hartvig Abrahamsen:**

> Thank you, Lars Erik!

  ### 28. Good tool to design content in an easy and fast way.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

How easy the site is. It is usualy fast and its intuitively

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

Maybe the bugs that pops up now and then. Its not always buggy, but sometimes it interupts my workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Easy and fast site to distribute content in a delicate way

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content creation and sometimes landingpages

  ### 29. Flexibility & Freedom

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ferdous Mohammad A. | Marketing Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

I think the best part of Vev is the flexibility and freedom that you get while designing and with available resources.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

The UI can be a bit better organized. Sometimes it was puzzling to check the updates made or didn't realize if the update was done or not.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were building our website from scratch. So it was very important that we can do it in our own way. Vev met that requirement by giving us the freedom in using the available resources.

  ### 30. Creative freedom online

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

VEV is easy to use and collaborate with the whole team.We are able to create online experiences that reflect our creative concepts in a good way.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

VEV is slightly time demanding to adjust to fit all formats.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

A perfect platform for online storytelling. Demands some extra time from you to design, compared to some competitors, but would say it's worth it.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Presenting stories in a way that actually builds the brand, not only giving data.

  ### 31. My Experience with Vev

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Vev?**

The thing I like most about Vev is its functionality. Simply put, Vev is incredibly easy to use. It has a good user interface so that the user isn't confused while navigating throughout the product, while almost maintaining a sleek and chic aesthetic. This enables web builders from any background of technological knowledge to use this product.

**What do you dislike about Vev?**

As with virtually every piece of technology that is released to the public, there are some apparent bugs. These are usually easily sorted out with Vev's support team, which I found to be both extremely helpful in finding a solution and easy to communicate with.

**Recommendations to others considering Vev:**

Vev is a product that can be used by a multitude of employees from businesses of any size. I would definitely contact the team at Vev first before using the product, primarily to gauge whether or not Vev would be right for your company's future direction.

**What problems is Vev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One benefit I've come to realize is the autonomy that Vev provides. A user themselves can help build a webpage, instead of enlisting the help of developers. This makes the job easier for both parties, while also attaining knowledge about such a useful and functional product like Vev.
