Electronic files such as e-mail are the most important sources of information that need to be stored. Veritas Enterprise Vault is a superior product at this point. we can even say the best. It saves your IT team from the need for daily data management overhead and strict corporate and legal standards. You can specify policys on your Vault server, archive them according to a certain day in the direction of these policys, or you can archive them according to the occupancy rate in the mail quota. Some end users have issues with regards to security certificates. **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** If in the market for an archiving solution for either email or file server, Veritas Enterprise Vault is one of the best solutions in the market. **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to provide our users with additional email storage where their old and unaccessed email can be stored, which the end-users could access from their Outlook client or using web browsers from anywhere. ### 4. This allows me to keep my Dropbox files, where my company has stayed for years, and allows me to have another level of protection and security. **What do you dislike about Arctera Enterprise Vault?** I dislike the difficulty of switching between profiles and also forwarding files to other people outside of Veritas. **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** Regardless of where you are in your business, Veritas Enterprise Vault can help you get to the next stage. It is meant for all businesses. **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dropbox didn't offer enough security. I love being able to implement Veritas and Dropbox together. This allows me to keep my Dropbox files, where my company has stayed for years, and allows me to have another level of protection and security. ### 5. Easy to use and I always find what I need. Also, we recently experienced an email crash, but I could still access my emails and even reply to emails from Veritas. Veritas really saved me! **What do you dislike about Arctera Enterprise Vault?** I don't have many complaints but I think they could clean up the interface a little. This is not a very huge issue since it is a backup. **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** Keep it up! **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** I never lose an email with Veritas. I can always go back and find communication with customers which is huge! As mentioned before, it's also a great solution for when outlook goes down. ### 6. I have just began using and our company is still implementing. The software runs good on the background of the server, and does not require much maintenance. **What do you dislike about Arctera Enterprise Vault?** Breaks some files. Has issues with PDF files, where users can not open them just by double clicking on the file, so they have to open Adobe reader and navigate to the file from the software to open it. Requires multiple policies to backup by Veritas Netbackup. **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** Fix the bugs with Adobe PDF files please. **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saves space on storage servers by archiving data off. ### 11. The company was using Microsoft Exchange and we waned to amake sure that we have a robust archiving solution . The GUI is self explanatory and guide you through all the steps and the management console makes life of Administrator easy. **What do you dislike about Arctera Enterprise Vault?** At this point there is nothing specific but will prefer to have support even during the evaluation period as we are testing the solution **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** Veritas is a pioneer in Data Management and its integration with other product line gives a complete solution rather managing it through different interface. Especially for archiving VERITAS EV is the best we have tested !!! **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to make sure that we have a solid archiving solution as we are a legal firm. Also the storage is other big concern and trying to solve it with Veritas EV deduplication technology. Being a legal firm compliance is very important and Veritas EV has tools to better manage users and hold them responsible for their activities ### 15. When combined with other tools (ClearWell, etc.) it multiples it's usefulness and is the best of breed for these use-cases. **What do you dislike about Arctera Enterprise Vault?** The value proposition for EV is compelling only when used to handle on-premise eDiscovery or on-prem exchange optimization. If resources are in the cloud, it's better to use EV.Cloud or another type of archiving cloud solution. **Recommendations to others considering Arctera Enterprise Vault:** Absolutely speak with an EV expert before architecting the solution to ensure that it will play nice with the rest of your infrastructure. It's a great tool, but it does become a layer of your infrastructure that you must manage and maintain. For it's cost and savings potential it really is a no-brainer. **What problems is Arctera Enterprise Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?** EV is great for optimizing Exchange environments and helping orgs prepare for eDiscovery searches. ### 16.
