What do you like best about Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option?

It has a real-time backup option that copies the data immediately, backup is possible over WAN so very less chance of missing backup even if you are out of the office or working from home, Data can be restored at from specific time and date what is needed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option?

The nothing to dislike in the product as such, but real-time backup can sometimes cause devices (Desktop/Laptop) to hang which is quite irritating if happened during work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business continuity is observer, especially if we have an unfortunate event like a hard disk crash, Laptop breaks/loss/theft, etc., we still able to restore most of the user data without any problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option?

Installation and Configuration is easy.

Rollout was as simple as any other software.

Very good configuration options.

Exclusion by file type is very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option?

The client agent though works most of the time, there will be occasions where it stops working for no reason at all. Troubleshooting the problem is a waste of time as nothing other than a reinstallation will resolve it.

The administration server tends to report that a backup process has failed on a client machine despite the backup completing without an error on the client side.

Reported backed up data size is not always accurate on the administration server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option:

Do your research before considering buying Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option. As everything seems to be going to the cloud, consider in investing on a product that has specialized cloud backup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
