When one department makes a change, all departments receive the corresponding updates, saving time. Previously, every update required manually notifying other departments, which was very time-consuming. Switching to Vena is more efficient than just using Excel, because Excel cannot automatically update other workbooks when one is updated. **What do you dislike about Vena?** Opening Vena is too slow, sometimes it takes tens of seconds. I hope it can be faster. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Vena to solve multiple Excel synchronization issues, achieving a single source mapping and source of truth for the entire company, saving time in data transmission and updates between departments. ### 40. We have created super helpful workflow that allows us to have a steady process monthly. It goes through approvals and ensures everything is accurate, and seen by the right people **What do you dislike about Vena?** Implementation times can be too long. We have done one, and now doing another implementation, but it’s a very time consuming activity. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** It takes care of not having to roll over excel files, but vena does that on its own because we version off scenarios and then just adjust data each month. Another problem Vena also solves is it enables to have a proper workflow each month, and the approvals and submissions order is clearly lined out with dates. Lastly, a problem it allows us to solve is with the audit trail. Through this, we can see what and when changes are made, as well as who made the change. It allows us visibility to track down where a change was made and then reach out to the user about why if needed. ### 47. The creation of fast, reliable ad hoc reporting is great in Vena, as well. We also like the very flexible integration options available in Vena which has allowed us to connect to a variety of source systems. **What do you dislike about Vena?** There are some downsides to the Excel front end that any one who works in an Excel based environment would expect. You are still writing extensive formula that can be difficult to troubleshoot and audit. It can also be tough to pair cube models with data from relational databases that require engineering effort to resolve. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has streamlined our forecasting process and allowed us to index and database data that was previously saved in spreadsheets spread across our network. This has allowed for increased production in reporting and allowed more people to have access to the data in a timely manner. It has also allowed us to provide consistent workflows across an array of projects in ways we had to handle via email before. ### 48. I guess the team was very nice and tried its best, but I feel sorry for them having to deal with such a clunky product. **What do you dislike about Vena?** After a nine month implementation, we ultimately decided to stop the process after spending countless hours on it. Vena’s models are extremely rigid and couldn’t accommodate our needs and requirements. Instead, they asked us to lower our expectations because the product simply couldn’t deliver. On top of that, they failed to integrate with our ERP, despite claiming that "dozens of users are already using it." I’m furious about the time and money we wasted on this failed process, not to mention an entire year that was completely lost. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** As we didn’t complete the implementation and stopped it midway, I’m unable to answer this question. ### 50. Pricing is bit high for smaller team or company. Specifically report analysis is very great and easy to use. Vena provide best team collaboration and workflow management while doing smaller task to large jobs. Financial close management is help to manage month end transactions.
