The ease of use and implementation allowed my company to drop Velixo in seamlessly and use it to boost our reporting capabilities tremendously. The ability to write back to the GL has streamlined our monthly close process on the accounting side as well. As a Director of FP&A in my company I also heavily rely on Velixo to set up our reporting templates to quickly provide real time financials, while also uploading my budgets. Variance analysis has never been easier - can avoid the excel hassle of huge lookups. The Velixo team is also extremely responsive to questions and support with new product updates that make it a quick and easy process. It takes some time to learn the syntax of the designing codes to retrieve data, but the Velixo team provides great documentation and support along with helpful instructions within the formula themselves. So it is just a learning curve for new users, but a worthwhile and logical one! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very powerful platform and the speed at which it works to retrieve the information is top notch. We have it retrieve teh summary transactions for a couple of thousand jobs each month and it usually takes less than a minute to gather the information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The writing of teh formulas is not the most intuitive, would be much easier with a visual pick menu if they could come out with a way to show the available fields and such that you wanted to work witha dn then the available dimensions and such Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Velixo reports are easy to use and allow for a lot of detail. Velixo pairs wonderfully with our accounting software Acumatica. I am thankful that our university chose to partner with Velixo. I am able to produce professional, easy to understand reports for my supervisor and our organization's Board of Directors. Velixo is a nice additional to my finance toolbox. I have been a Velixo user for several years now and have not encountered anything that I do not like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can create my own real-time reports in Velixo, customizing to what I need vs. only using standard reports. Plus, the formula languages are easy to follow compared with SQL as an example especially when that is not your area of profession. Other areas that we haven't used yet in our business but plan to is the ability to post our journal entries through Velixo without the need to log into the Accounting System. There have been times that, due to the size of the reports, the queries do get stuck. If there is a way to not refresh multiple files that are open at the same time, I need to learn this, but that is primarily what happens shutting down my PC for a good 20 - 30 minutes at times for the files to refresh. Ease of Use: Familiar Excel environment makes adoption quick and intuitive for finance professionals.
Time-Saving: Automates data retrieval and report creation, reducing manual effort.
Real-Time Insights: Access to live data ensures decision-making is based on the most current information.
Customization: Highly customizable reports with the ability to use advanced Excel features like formulas, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.
Also, allows you to view unposted transactions in reports, compared to Acumatica does not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Excel Dependency: Requires proficiency in Excel, which might be a limitation for some users.
Learning Curve for Complex Reports: While basic reporting is easy, more advanced features may require additional training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy it was to adopt. After a 1 hour enablement session with a product specialist, I was able to revamp all of our standard excel monthly reporting, templates and journal entries using Velixo and deploy them all within a month of picking up Velixo. I also love its flexibility and the functionality of the dynamic ranges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing! It is a wonderful supplement for excel based budgeting and forecasting. If it had an FP&A tool engine behind it, I'd buy that too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Velixo is an Excel add-on. No more exporting, importing, and manipulating. I can pull in specific data into a specific cell or I can pull a range of data throughout the spreadsheet. I can build it dynamic and simply change an accounting period and everything updates. I can build a "template" focused upon a specific project and then distribute the template to my project managers who simply change the project number to the one they wish to focus on and the entire spreadsheet can update CURRENT data they way they want to see it. With Velixo NX, implimentation across our organization is so easy. Because I can make the spreadsheet template the way the project managers are used to and the way they want to see their data, integration was seemless. Project managers use it most at the end of the month for helping with their projections. As CFO, I use it almost every day and especially at month end and financial reporting. Because Velixo is so robust and their support features are so clear, I have yet to submit a request to customer support. This is a wonderful product that works exactly as presented. I've used it for 2 years now and couldn't imagine going back to data exporting/importing and manipulation. It's a massive time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Right now balances are available at the project and general ledger level. Sometimes, I'd like to extract transactional data, but it's such a minor issue I don't give it a second thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reporting is easy and fast!
The initial training was the best system training we've had with any system.
I love that it's flexible, I can make a copy of a file, tweak accounts/set up as needed and it's seamless.
Any report I want can be run /updated in seconds, it's super easy to copy and paste into other templates (to hard code monthly reports) and I can create balance checks outside of the print area to make sure there weren't changes in the account structure that aren't being included in the reporting.
I believe that there was a writeback feature which sounded cool- but we haven't needed it yet. I'm using velixo files weekly and sometimes daily, and really without it our reporting would be so basic and not nearly as meaningful for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Now and then there will be a glitch where a formula doesn't work the way it used to, or the way you expect(I think from upgrades), it can take a little fiddling or research to get it fixed, with that said the online support is outstanding, and any time I've reached out they have had a solution.
I don't think it had standard reports when we started (OR it didn't work for us) so every report has to be fully created from scratch, thankfully the training taught us how to do it all though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The templates are easy to use, the formulas are easy to pick up and learn, and the support is second to none. Simply download the software, create your connection and you're in. My report users are much happier with the format as it is something they are used to seeing. We are using this every day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You do have to log in every time you open a new sheet, but it does remember all your ID's so it's just clicking a few buttons like you're logging into any other account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part that I have found is the ability to pull real time data from Acumatica directly into Excel without haveing to login to Acumatica at all. It saves time while also providing pertainant data for reporting or research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Velixo functions are new to learn, however once you have them down they are very functional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
