It's included utilities for AD, Exchange, and SQL are top notch, way better than any of the other similar utilities from other backup solutions. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** Veeam requires configuration and a bit more hands on management and administration because it is such an open and flexible platform. But on the other hand, they fully deserve the use of superlatives with a product range as good as theirs. It can do anything, with most any hardware. The product is very easy to use and configure. The premium platform comes with DR orchestration as well and that was another selling point for us. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** This is still a new purchase for us, so we have yet to encounter something that we have not liked. Maybe the need for a 3rd party device to do immutable backups. But that can be overcome by doing your own Linux repo. **What problems is Veeam Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving the need for VMWARE Site Recovery Manager. We no longer need licenses for that, with the built in DR orchestrator. It is also solving our previous lack of immutable backups. ### 21. In other words, make a working copy of it onto another server. If something happens, you can restore just a file or the entire server or, even better, start-up and run that replicated server instantly and not wait for a backup restore. Then once you're ready, you can either fall back to the original server or tell Veeam to slow copy that backup server to the original location while you are running on the backup. We are able to make these immutable to help protect against ransomware, and we are also able to copy these to disk so we can store these in air-gapped setup for another layer of protection. ### 41.
