It's helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off of and explore tactics to make you a more effective and better coworker, leader, friend. This was the first time I've worked somewhere with a sponsored coaching program, and it has made me feel valued and seen.

I started working with Valor in 2019. HubSpot signed on to have their top-performing managers work 1:1 with a Valor coach over the course of 9 months. My coach Paul Ashbrook has been amazing to work with, and is the ultimate accountability partner. There is a tremendous amount of value to having a performance coach that works outside of your organization. I enjoyed the coaching so much that I opted to use HubSpot's tuition reimbursement program to continue my Valor coaching after the initial 9 month period. Valor coaching helped me develop a performance mindset, taught me how to avoid burnout, and helped me with goal setting/accountability. I would highly recommend Valor to any business professional that is looking to level up as a leader. In the 2+ years of working with Valor, I've also had the pleasure of interacting with Valor founder Sarah Milby, and Director of Sales Tim Mann. The Valor coaching platform sets up a unique technology-enabled coaching experience for leaders. They have genuinely world-class coaches focused on optimizing your performance mindset in business. The coaching is framed by a set of core competencies that were easily transferable to our business. Since coaching is at its essence a 1 on 1 relationship, Valor does a great job pairing leaders with coaches. Occasionally, a leader/coach match might not work out, and the Valor team has always stepped right up to switch a coach. What I like the most is that it works. The only real downside has less to do with Valor and more to do with the person being coached. As the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. The same is true here. You can enroll a leader in the Valor program, but there is no guarantee that person will take the coaching onboard and practice the new skills they may be introduced to or adopt the mindset that can allow them to be more effective. Valor is different from any other coaching experience I've had. Easy to use platform for online sessions and trainings, and the live coaching sessions are great.
