What do you dislike about Cookiebot by Usercentrics?

Predatory and fraudulent. They 6x my price, even though I had the same amount of domains, same amount of sites etc, they just took the liberty to do that by sending an email that went to the spam folder.

I've been in contact with their support who is of no use what so ever. I do suspect that it is an ai answering, hence this review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cookiebot is the best"

What do you like best about Cookiebot by Usercentrics?

Generally, Cookiebot is the best CMP I have used thus far, so even though I will list disadvantages as well, it's still the best product on the market in my opinion.

What do I like most about it? The user interface, which is modern and attractive. When something is beautiful, you want to use it a lot more, and Cookiebot is beautiful. For someone who deeply cares about user privacy and complying with the applicable laws, I really appreciate the value Cookiebot brings — being compliant is easy and enjoyable to set up.

Ease of integration with Google Tag Manager is superb.

Additionally, there's great documentation both from the Cookiebot team itself and from YouTubers in the industry. All of this makes the learning curve smooth and encourages you to go back to Cookiebot for all your projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cookiebot by Usercentrics?

Certain parts about Cookiebot can be confusing, especially if you're new to the product.

The relationship between Cookiebot and Usercentrics and how all the different UIs connect is not clear. I would love to see the company focus on one UI – the new Cookiebot UI. It's beautiful, easy to set up, and intuitive. I like the Usercentrics UI less.

Additionally, this complicated infrastructure leads to confusion for me and my clients. Sometimes, they have problems logging in – they end up logged into a different product.

Due to the pricing A/B tests conducted by Cookiebot, it's sometimes unclear how much you will pay for the service, because you see a different pricing table on the website than the one you're subject to. You need to contact support to receive your specific pricing.

Sometimes, I want my clients to set up a Cookiebot account, but they are forced to create a Usercentrics account through redirects.

Sometimes, I'm reading documentation, trying to learn how to implement a feature, and then I find out that this documentation refers to a different product in the company's family.

Product-wise, I would like the Cookie Declaration to be more mobile-friendly, especially the tables. I would recommend revisiting this feature and refining the media queries for mobile screens.

It's also essential to be able to change the email address owning a Cookiebot account. I needed this many times and it's not possible.

Overall, Cookiebot is a fantastic product and likely a wonderful business, as I come back to it over and over again and never unsubscribe. If they solve these pain points, this will be a unicorn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
