For example, it's easy to upload your resume, the survey questions if any easily answered, and a notice of where your resume is in the queue. **What do you dislike about USAJobs?** I don't know if all the jobs are posted in this site and job announcements come late to my email box and therefore, giving me little time to apply. **Recommendations to others considering USAJobs:** None at this time **What problems is USAJobs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trying to get a job with the Federal government. The benefit is you can reach out to a representative via email or phone. ### 2. Many positions are filled before being posted and there is so much text to weed through on each page that it's difficult to find the critical information. Also, there are algorithms that search for certain key words to determine eligibility, but that is all very mysterious to the user. **Recommendations to others considering USAJobs:** Figure out key terms to use in your application materials; contact an individual human before you submit to ensure the job is open and a good fit **What problems is USAJobs solving and how is that benefiting you?** It attempts to hire new talent for government jobs, but does a very poor job. It is often redundant with hiring decisions that have already been made. ### 3. Not having to fill out the same information over and over when you're applying to multiple jobs is a HUGE plus. **What do you dislike about USAJobs?** Searching can be a little challenging at times. I am not sure if it is the site that causes the issue, or if it is the individual agencies that cause the issue. When searching using keywords, such as "Law enforcement" you don't always get the jobs you're looking for. I seem to get a lot of jobs that will come through that mention "works with law enforcement" somewhere in the description and this muddies my search results. **What problems is USAJobs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was able to apply to many jobs with relative ease. ### 4. It also allows candidates to search and find employment opportunities which fit their backgrounds. **What do you dislike about USAJobs?** I did not like the fact that many of the positions on this site as a job seeking candidate often have strict requirements to meet for hire. Also the layout can be difficult to follow in choosing how to filter searches for desired results. **Recommendations to others considering USAJobs:** I recommend others use this product, because it effectively screeens for the best potential employees. For job seekers it helps them to find career openings that best fit their experience and skillset. **What problems is USAJobs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Traditionally, this is useful in solving the absence of a job; however, the hiring processes of these positions can be a rather long process. For example, when submitting an application it can take extended time before an interview is even set up. Many positions require a test to be completed and pre-screening questions or documentation be reviewed. Time table on these things can be many weeks or several months. ### 5.
