After trying out several other uptime monitoring services, I've been quite pleased with UptimeRobot. I've been using it for a couple months now and have been impressed with its ease of use and robustness.

The interface is very straightforward, allowing you to add new websites, specify monitoring intervals, and configure alert methods in just a few clicks. Non-technical people will be able to navigate and manage uptime monitors without issue.

Unlike some other monitoring services I tried, UptimeRobot has been very reliable. - I've rarely, if ever, experienced false positives, which is crucial to preserve our staff's time (and faith in the service)! I also appreciate UptimeRobot's flexible and customizable status page - very handy both for people within our org and our website users.

As a charity running large-scale, online, match-funding campaigns, getting immediate alerts to any issues with Salesforce and AWS availability is vitally important. Uptime Robot provides us with a service that gives us timely alerts and enough information to quickly rectify problems. The fact that it integrates with Slack is an added bonus. We have been using our website monitoring and API for the past 4 years and have loved how easy it is to set up and being notified as soon as something is no longer correct has allowed us to fix bugs as quickly as possible. The query time set to 5 min is one of the best ways to integrate avoiding too much load on the server, so far due to the ease of use we have not required customer support yet. As an AWS cloud engineer I could implement the same functionality with Route53 health-checks and CloudWatch alerts/dashboards, but it would require much more effort, and what is even more important and valueable - my time. Ultimately we're people )) which means we're lazy by our nature - so we're constantly looking for achieving our goals with simple solutions! Here you are - UptimeRobot is a tool where many useful features are combined in one place. If you work in software development industry and care about availability of your website, e.g. if you want to sign an SLO/SLA agreement - I'd recommend to look at what UptimeRobot dashboard can give you. Not sure why the response time is so high!? Maybe, sending checks UptimeRobot server is too far from European region... Anytime our site goes down, we get an emailed alert from UptimeRobot within minutes and can work to resolve the issue quickly to make sure our audience isn't withouth our information or resources for too long.
