## About Uptempo
Uptempo is the enterprise marketing system of record that helps marketing leaders prove and improve ROI by connecting budgets, plans, and performance in one platform. Built for complex organizations, Uptempo gives marketers a single source of truth to manage investments with financial discipline, plan with confidence, and adapt faster as priorities change. Deep ERP/EPM connections—actuals, GL mapping, and reconciliation—keep budgets under control, so marketing can see investments trending ahead or behind plan. Performance dashboards help CMOs build credibility by tying marketing spend to measurable business outcomes. With a unified marketing calendar plus real-time dashboards and scenario modeling, leaders can pressure-test decisions and reallocate confidently as signals change. All of this runs with enterprise-grade governance: configurable hierarchies, role-based access, SSO, and audit trails. By replacing disconnected spreadsheets and point solutions with one governed workspace, Uptempo improves visibility, alignment, and decision-making across the marketing organization. Uptempo is the CMO's enterprise command center for closed-loop operations, helping to transform marketing from a cost center to a credible growth driver for the business.

Moving from spreadsheets and manual reporting to a system based approach has truly been transformative for our marketing operations, and the ability to have a single source of truth for all our marketing and sales assets is a core requirement for marketing. A next step in 2018 will be to expand our scope to further interesting MRM functionality BM offers such as integration with Salesforce (CRM) and unleashing the full power of marketing performance measurement.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

As with every enterprise software it needs a bit of practice and change management to get the processes and structure right and it is also important to include user feedback along the way and to continuously further fine tune and evolve the system. BM offered comprehensive training and consulting services to ensure fast and sustainable user adoption.

 ### 10. Still not sure about this product

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

I like the user interface. Everything is easily accessible. I use Facebook a lot so being able to link my business page....I love.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

In my opinion there’s just not enough to work with. But for the pricing/trials it better than the nothing I had. Still could use some work. Make it more just interactive. There’s just not enough features.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

It’s easy to use. Very simple to navigate. I recommend it. Though I am still looking for the one product that wows me and meets all my needs. I was hoping for more animation, more social media plug-ins, better designing in the layout area. Better picture sharing, more media. Increasing these things or adding them would make this almost perfect for what I need. But with that being said Brand Maker has made the marketing side of business easier for me. I had nothing and didn’t know where to start. This was a big help.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brand Maker helped me with marketing . I don’t have an IT team or tech Analyst so I do all the work myself. Marketing...getting my name out there was easier than I originally thought.

 ### 11. ### Create one stop shop for everything relevant in Marketing ... ###

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** STEFAN G. | FREIER BERATER, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Brandmaker delivers a very powerful suite of modules to cover all Marketing Automatization needs.
The new portal module (including a standalone CMS) enhances the options dramatically. The system can be completely branded and turned into a unique Marketing Information Platform - a one stop shop for everything relevant in Marketing.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Though it’s rather a plus for us as external consultants and implementation partners, it can be pretty challenging for a customer to align the requirements of the brand and the options of the system. Due to the complexity and the huge set of features you will need professional support during the implementation.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

###

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented several Brandmaker solutions to create a one-stop-shop solutions for the user. Mostly we started with smaller scopes and have grown every solution step-by-step over the last years. We could skip several other stand-alone applications and integrate the topics into the portals. Today we have in each project a powerful toolbox which multiple extensions that helps to streamline clients processes, save capacities, strengthen the brands and also save money of the companies.

 ### 14. An essential platform for brand management and customer engagement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AJ B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The various BrandMaker modules make it easy to customize a solution for our needs without having extra things we don't use. I like how everything is interconnected and the ease of use of finding things. BrandMaker has become our central resource for marketing materials, marketing planning, and customer engagement, and I like that we no longer have to try and jumble together different tools that don't work well.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Sometimes the system seems a little slow in finding what I need, but I think this is only because we have A LOT of assets stored in BrandMaker!

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

It takes a bit of a commitment up front to use a tool like BrandMaker since you pretty much have to put all marketing assets into the system to see the true value. If your assets are not currently well organized, this can take some time just to find what's current within your organization. In my opinion, it's worth the effort and is a necessary step for any automation solution to work properly.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use the digital asset management system (Media Pool), marketing planner, and Customer Engagement Cloud modules, and at this point we couldn't do our job without BrandMaker. We previously had a problem using DropBox with multiple versions of the same or similar documents that made it impossible to know what was current. BrandMaker solved this problem immediately with their Media Pool product, which provides access to digital assets from anywhere, including mobile devices. In addition, we were having trouble communicating marketing plans and scheduling activities prior to using BrandMaker. Now, we use Marketing Planner to work with a shared calendar so that everyone knows what's going on. This helps us avoid having multiple projects on top of one another and keeps our sales team well informed. Lastly, we have a lot of marketing content in our sales cycle and were never sure if it was easily found by prospects or if it was actually read. Using BrandMaker Customer Engagement Cloud, we can set up a specific journey map so our prospects can consume content at their own pace. We get full insights into which content pieces are the most popular, which pages are being read, and what's being shared.

 ### 16. Central asset repository

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Our company implemented Media Pool as our central asset repository and the WebPublication Interface for seamless integration of our product catalog and brand archive. The BrandMaker solution quickly became an integral part of our marketing technology stack.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

We haven't really experienced any substantial downsides of the solution, only a few internal challenges when changing ways of working which we anticipated. BrandMaker supported us in navigating those and making sure the user community was embraced and their requirements addressed and met.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BrandMaker Media Pool is a sophisticated asset management system offering rich functionality and is easy to integrate into a company's tech environment. Intuitive use has made adoption fast and has increased marketing's recognition across the organization.

 ### 18. One stop shop solution

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

One stop shop solution, great planning and marketing tool. Once I got a professional to help me learn the basics I got the hang of it. Helped me save a lot of money.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

A little complicated to use at first. I had to hire someone to help me use it for DK. But once I got the hang of it, it was easier to use. A few tech issues... but I mean it happens with any software. I do wish it wasn’t so expensive. But good software isn’t cheap lol

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

If you have the money get it.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me manage assets and planning

 ### 19. A good step for marketing

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

This is a great tool for any marketing team. You can manage all of the marketinf material from one platform. Extremely easy and time effective.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Is a bit on the expensive side but very worth it in the long run.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing research, ability to connect with other systems.

 ### 20. Half-Baked, Functional for Minimal Tasks

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Luxury Goods & Jewelry | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

We cannot deny that Brandmaker was an improvement from manual data entry in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and services our clients through excel request forms and email. It allowed us to reduce duplication of effort and overtime hours for our team.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

This system has glaring holes in its functionality and reliability. From the start our experience with the platform was riddled with errors and special development to workaround flaws in its design and "working as intended" functions.

Examples:

Review Module - allows users to provide markup on imagery and videos. These proofs can never be removed or archived. You cannot search through the proofs, sort columns by date, or even have an external email address review a proof. They have to exist in the platform as a registered user first. When a review is completed you get a generic completion email. It does not provide any information about the review status or any feedback or markup. Artists/Proofers will have to navigate through the system to the request, in to the proof, and then through two submenus in order to see whether the proof was approved/returned, etc.

Workflow/Job Management - Inputs are not sanitized. If there is a space in front of a text entered in to a dropdown field and then that field is used it will permanently interfere with filtering of requests. Workflow steps can be skipped at any point by anyone who has access to a job. This means the client can submit the request, skip every approval and review stage all the way to the end. There is no built in functionality that accurately tracks when a job has been submitted or completed. Forms also have hard limits on the number of fields that can be created. This means if you make one too many you cannot publish the update or any following ones without their support team taking the system down and manually removing any updates you have queue. There is no way to do this yourself. This also means that you cannot revert any changes if you have added them to the queue.

UI/UX - UI is often counter intuitive and does not offer 100% complete language localization. Modules can have completely different administrative interfaces and small nuances that are not consistent between each module. As for UX, we work with people that are not exactly computer proficient, but they understand computer basics. For these clients the system is obtuse and difficult to use. An example is that when you submit a request there is no confirmation that it has been submitted and this compounds on the fact that they can keep "submitting" and push the job through the workflow. Jobs have a built in email function, but the email is one way. If you email someone through the system their reply will get delivered to an unaccessible email address. There is no way to change this.

Reporting - Brandmaker utilizes JasperSoft Reports to handle MySQL database reporting. The integration is not complete and often crashes or times out with simple derived tables. All reports must be manually created by you or pay roughly a $200USD/hr "development" cost. We recommend having someone internally that is competent with MySQL in order to maintain reports. Brandmaker will not do that for you.

Lastly, the support staff are not even fully aware of how certain features work and after 3 years of using the system we still have 10+ unresolved technical support tickets. The office branch that supported us in the initial development disowned us in the past year and refuse to resolve support tickets we submit to them (being more knowledgeable about the issues) and repeatedly direct us to their corporate headquarters in Germany. We almost never get a response or a follow up.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

Brandmaker is one of the few marketing resource management systems out there that offers a variety of modules to support your needs. The modules however are not integrated with each other well and appear to be developed by independent teams within Brandmaker. There doesn't seem to be a lot of cross-communication as modules with the same settings can have completely different administrative UI/UX layouts.

Our major issues with the system are things that (you would think) would be common sense problems that would have been eliminated in earlier versions. As of version 5.9 there is no hard-stop in a workflow. A client can submit a request and push it through every stage of the workflow without approval.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team incorporated Brandmaker in order to condense all of our functions into a single system. This functions include blog-style news, request processing, proofing, self-created content, and asset management for users to retrieve pre-made content. At face value these benefits are realized, but at a cost to us internally that we have not truly netted any gain.

 ### 21. Marketing Manager

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Ability to see budgeting and committed dollars for the full year

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

It wasn't user-friendly and often was slow and challenging to find jobs that were completed and closed.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using BrandMaker as a means to keep track of budgets. Again, it was great to see the monthly breakouts, but I believe there are other platforms that are better and more efficient.

 ### 22. Very easy to use for those without a finance/accounting background

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** PJ S. | Associate Director of Demand Generation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

For someone with a marketing background, the tool makes tracking budget very easy. The interface is extremely intuitive and user friendly. You don't need to know the finance side of things, simply just enter your planned, forecasted, and actual budgets to track your spend.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I haven't run into any issues to this point - it does the job for what I need to accomplish.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

If you're looking for a tool that is easy to use and provides full visibility to those who need it, I would highly recommend Allocadia.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets through Allocadia. It's very easy to go back and see what you spent, or see how much you're projected to spend if you input planned/forecasted numbers. Finance likes this because they can track on their end.

 ### 23. Great streamlined way to manage corporate budgets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Project Manager, Executive Sponsor Program and Customer Advisory Boards, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The UX is very easy to use and mostly intuitive. All of our teams can manage their individual budgets, but the software allows this to be viewed and reported out on by our Finance team in a non-silo manner. It is easy to report out and view your budget allocations and make decisions or recommendations to budget stakeholders based on these reports. Everything can be tracked in one place.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

The UX is updated on a regular basis without warning. This can be a positive thing, but I have found that in certain instances I have had to take extra time to re-acquaint myself with the updated layout.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am new to managing my teams budget and Allocadia has made this transition extremely easy and streamlined. It is very straight forward for me to submit a new Purchase order with my finance team and I tie everything back to Allocadia and the Line Item ID. Initially I needed to create a separate Excel Spreadsheet to track all of my budget items and spends, but I am now able to do this all through Allocadia and not rely on other methods.

 ### 24. Allocadia has Worked Miracles with our Marketing Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carey R. | Director, FP&A, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The look (the user interface) is awesome and honestly, the layout "makes sense". After the team used it for a bit, and provided feedback, we are even able to move fields around to help the Marketing team more quickly, search for items.

We are easily able to map items after they are imported from NetSuite (our ERP) which is great when we are in a meeting and we are able to reflect this real time.

The metrics, the graphs, charts, can be as simple as you want or as detailed as you might need.

The level of customer service we have received from the entire Allocadia team, has been beyond any other tool, application, software, almost anything, we have worked with.

In the year + we have worked with the Allocadia team, I cannot recall the word "can't" come out of them. When we have asked them how to do this or how to allocate that or how to import or download or update, they have worked with us from start to finish.

I cannot stress enough that the tool is set up to make the transition, from whatever the Marketing team is using now whether it be Excel or some other spreadsheet type tracker, very easy and painless.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

The one challenge we have had was getting the Marketing team to consistently use the Allocadia ID on all of their submissions. Unfortunately as awesome as the Allocadia team is, I don't know if they can perform miracles.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

I would recommend Allocadia not only for the actual tool, but for how it integrates with Marketo, NetSuite, Salesforce, as well as all the bells and whistles and most importantly, the Allocadia team. They go above and beyond.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business problem is (was) to get everyone in Marketing, of which we have many different teams, to use one standard budgeting tool. Historically there would be transfers between the different teams, of money they might need and it was all done via handshake. Now we are able to see it come out of one team and into another AND I can quickly see at a glance, if the budget still balances.
Another benefit has been the ability to quickly view monthly/quarterly/annual budget, actual, forecast, transfer data in one easy format and one easy data pull. Historically I would need to piece together different workbooks in different formats from different teams. No more!

 ### 25. Great Product and Awesome Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin A. | Media Operations Manager, E-Learning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

We use Allocadia a little differently than it was built. Allocadia worked with us through every step of the way and made sure we had what we needed. More than that, they have answered every question (and I have plenty) efficiently and are so kind. I really appreciate all their help to make this tool unique for us.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Because we use this tool a little differently than intended, there is some functionality for us that is a little clunky. In almost every case, I have been able to work with Allocadia to figure out the best way to make this product work for me.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a non-spreadsheet place to plan but also to keep our actuals. We have also added in metrics which is not something Allocadia was built to do but is working well for us. Regardless of how clunky it might be, it is far and away a much better solution for us than a spreadsheet.

 ### 26. Allocadia has been a useful tool to track our media and interface with accounting.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Ease of use, planning purposes, and analytic availability.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

To PO/invoice process across the number of budgets that we maintain could be a little more smooth. We can have one invoice across multiple schools and media buys and searching for that information can get cumbersome in locating and entering those spends.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

This product is easy to use and has great reporting/analytics availability. It is adaptable to a large number of budgets and marketing processes.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interfacing with accounting. Uploading the POs has been great, and having the ability for their new system to upload payment information will be great. It has already improved our interface with accounting.

 ### 27. Small company, long implementation time

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The Hive 9 team is very responsive and willing to work hard to make their tool work for us.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

The tool is built for small businesses that have very clear processes and data structures enforced. It has taken us almost an entire year to implement the tool because it doesn't really flow well with our current data structures. After working with them for these months, they claim they don't deal with "gray" areas very well, which unfortunately is a large portion of our data.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

Be very clear on your data structure before you go into implementation.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing ROI - on a campaign level.

 ### 28. Spreadsheet Free!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa M. | Sr. Global Marketing Budget and Analytics Manager, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The intuitive interface that is enough like a spreadsheet, our former way of budgeting, that users were able to quickly embrace and use this new tool. I've had most of our users tell me they are really pleased with how Allocadia works and how useful it is for them in budgeting for their regions.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Dislike is a strong word. I would rather say I'm looking forward to a more robust multi-level approval workflow.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that we were able to discontinue the use of spreadsheets to budget our WW Marketing organization. We had 17 unique budgets using 6 different currencies - yeah pretty much a nightmare! With Allocadia we now have one central location that is our single source of the truth.

 ### 29. VP Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea B. | VP Demand Generation & Marketing Operations, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Allocadia allows us to manage our global marketing budget from the top level strategic intentions down to the individual tactical line items, from a single collaborative system.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I wish the system would allow for a rolling budget across years, rather than forcing separate annual budgets.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budget planning & managenbt alignment between marketing and finance.

 ### 32. Great product for those looking to track or improve marketing performance.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua J. | Operations Manager, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2015

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The Allocadia interface is simple to use and understand, which helps end user adoption. The platform itself contains powerful analytic tools that easily display a visual representation of your data. Allocadia is purpose built for marketers, and geared to easily track marketing performance.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

The existing functionality works very well, but I would like to see a greater focus on organizational roles via the ability to create user groups, and custom security groups in Allocadia.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

If you're looking to improve your company's ability to track marketing ROI, or begin tracking marketing ROI, then look no further.

This platform is a terrific way to track your existing budgets in a unified way; even for those companies who are not looking to or are not ready to begin tracking the return on their marketing investment. Allocadia's interface is simple, but it reporting engine is incredibly powerful. If you're looking to unify budgeting within an organization, then Allocadia will provide an excellent, holistic solution that you're looking for.

Allocadia's integration with Salesforce.com shows that the platform is moving in the right direction, with a focus on the entire marketing pipeline.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We currently use Allocadia to solve for and analyze marketing ROI.

 ### 33. User and implementation partner.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Managing Director, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The user interface. Spreadsheets can be boring, but they are so useful. I think Allocadia nailed it when they brought the spreadsheet world into an easy-to-understand, shared online environment.

Putting our budget information into Allocadia forced us to really think about how we structure our work. It also forced us to think about how we consume information about our spend (i.e., what reports do we want). The reporting engine has a sleek look and functions well...marketers love it.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I can't think of anything right now that I would complain about, but I would like to see the approvals engines grow.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

Be flexible and willing to adjust your process. Let Allocadia align to your business structure, but don't be too fearful about using the power of the tool to influence how you can make changes. This tool was built on best practice marketing usage.

Also, align your organization to common terms and taxonomy to the extent you can. The hierarchy is extremely flexible, but aim for consistency across LOBs / budget areas as much as possible.

Start small, learn, and build out from there. This changes things; don't feel like you have to get it 100% done the first time around.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just about to complete our integration to SFDC, and that will get us to a closer look at mROI, so for right now, we are using it for visibility to our budgets. We also plan very soon on getting actuals and POs spinning through the system.

 ### 34. Amazing product for closing the gap on marketing performance management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George C. | Chief Marketing Officer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Ability to understand program efforts not just by lead or pipeline, but by these values against investment. Interface with Marketo and our financial system works perfectly.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Very little - somethings need to be managed or changed through support which adds just a slight delay.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to understand program efforts not just by lead or pipeline, but by these values against investment. Interface with Marketo and our financial system works perfectly. Another great feature is the ability to tag spend as committed, optional, occurred, etc. This makes it very easy to answer the CFO if cuts needs to be made where is it possible. We were able to manage a multimillion dollar marketing budget to within a few dollars, even after a major mid-course adjustment.

 ### 35. Easy to Use and GREAT service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Allocadia's customer service has been wonderful. They are very responsive and organized. I really appreciate the follow up and attention to detail.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

There are some things about the application that I find a little klugey. For example, when you go to the analytics tab, you have to manually refresh the data or it may be out of date. You would think that the page would auto refresh when you click the tab. Also, I have several budget owners that use the system and it would be nice to have a way to assign budget access based on user rather than clicking into every budget and assigning who should have access, because I have more budgets than people to manage them. I've heard this is possibly changing in the future though.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have several budgets that we keep with several different people managing them, so Allocadia was a great way to give them a spreadsheet-like view but with group sharing abilities.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> Allocadia analytics now refresh automatically (effective 2015). You can also easily assign users to budgets through the admin page, more simply than before. Give it a try!

 ### 36. An OK system -- a bit clumsy and slow

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2015

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The system in theory is good to track your budget. Depending on how you set up the system, it can be a very useful tool, but the set up can be prone to error if it is your first time. It is easy to add line items and categories to the budget.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

If you have multiple budgets, it is a manual process to change the budgets even if they have the same set up. There's no way to copy and paste a budget.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

Make sure you are sure that Allocadia can fulfill all of your needs specifically.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our marketing team is able to track their budget, and get up to date actuals to compare to the budget.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> Our latest product release (August 2016) allows users to move line items, categories and sub-categories not only within a give budget, but also between budgets in the same corporate hierarchy. Just right-click to open a dialog box and choose where you want the item to go!

 ### 37. Review of Allocadia Software

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2015

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

I like that we can create reports to view the data that we want to see and how we want to see it.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

It can be slow to load. Also, after the initial implementation, making changing to any budget can be a hassle, especially if there are numerous budgets.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We trying to move away tracking and creating reports using excel as it is more susceptible to human errors.

 ### 38. I get a full picture of my budgets!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The ability to see various groupings of data easily. The visualizations are helpful in quickly understanding what is working and not working.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Although speed has improved, there is still work to be done to make it better.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

One thing that is impressive is that Allocadia continues to evolve the platform in functionality and from a usability perspective. When buying into a SAS platform this is key, as with the current environment it is expected that functionality continues to improve.

This adds confidence that the platform will be around for the long haul.

I continue to have a better impression of the product as I see it evolve.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budget allocation and pacing.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> We have been working hard to make Allocadia faster and more scalable. In fact, with our August 2016 release we made big strides, improving a range of performance metrics like page loads and refreshes by 250% to 6000%. You should see the results instantly!

 ### 39. An individual and reliable budget manintenance tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The easy to use interface guaranteeing a great usability while focussing on data reliability and security at the same. Plus the combination of real-time adjustments and many-user accessability.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

We are unfortunately facing some formatting issues from time to time which are kind of annoying - but in the end not a big deal. The performance overall good be better but is improving lately.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

Take especially advantage of their great support and their will to always fit the customers individual needs.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the big issue of having plenty excel files and different versions of these files at the same time. Now all our budget relevant data are stored at one central location and the trust in these dat ais restored.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> Over the past several months we have been conducting a wide range of performance testing to benchmark how Allocadia performs under the hood. The results of these tests have revealed where we can focus efforts on making Allocadia faster and more robust. Through recent product updates we have improved system performance in a range of areas between 250% and 6000%, delivering a significantly improved user experience and a more scalable infrastructure.

 ### 40. Great budget maintenance tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2015

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The speed at which the system is constantly being updated. It is also great to work with a team that is always available to help.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

That the ability to create reports is not as user friendly as with Salesforce.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are able to eliminate the use of several excel sheets having all the information we require localized in one area.

 ### 41. Great, easy to use budgeting system

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The ease of use and friendliness of use. Anyone can use with minimal training

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Support materials are no easily accessible and would be nice ot have easier access to.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

If you are looking for an easy to use budgeting software, this is what you should be using....

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a global budgeting software to maintain and see what each region is doing...allowing us to have a better handle on how everyone is using the software and how we are doing in actuals based on the year

 ### 42. Some pretty cool new features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The new features of being able to tag things as forecast, committed and optional work magic for budgets. It really keeps things organized.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Not too keen on not being able to change the line items to other budgets.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am helping to keep budget requirements in line and tracking expenditure throughout the year. I've realized what areas need work and what areas we can either increase or decrease expenditures.

 ### 43. JLN Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Easy to use and the implementation of the system was easy to learn

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I liked everything about it especially the back office support

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are the back office support

 ### 44. Allocadia is perfect for budget tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

Allocadia allows you to consolidate budget information from multiple campaigns and channels in one place, then uses that data to create at-a-glance dashboards and other powerful reporting.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I'd be interesting in using a mobile app so I can update a given figure in a meeting, right when it's finalized.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run several dozen campaigns, all with individual budgets that roll up in a variety of ways. The hierarchy system within Allocadia allowed me to group them all appropriately, then accurately track budget in three main categories: planned, allocated and spent.

 ### 45. Allocadia helps in collaborating with remote team

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

I like the real-time environment. You can make a line item change and your colleagues will see it immediately.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

I don't ike that you can't search with CTRL + F from the browser window. I would like to search within a long list and see various times the search term appears.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptempo:**

The information you keep in Allocadia is only as good as the people updating it. You need to have timely updates so that you can get good analysis from your data.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration on budgets is key. Not using mulitple spreadsheets. Multiple views.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> Users can now search using CTRL+F in any supported browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer).

 ### 46. Allocadia has helped our department as a whole!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

I like how much it has helped our company transition from spreadsheets to an always-live spreadsheet. It has really helped make our budgeting so much faster.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

Sometimes the filtering can be a bit clunky and be a bit frustrating if you have a lot of line items. Also, if you edit a line item a specific month it doesn't carry over to another month which can be hard if you look at a budget on a monthly basis.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are speeding up our accounting for our department as a whole. It has made things more accurate and streamlined and allow a visual view for all people in the department.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> The July 2016 platform upgrade introduced more powerful search and filtering, including the ability to load and search through long lists much more quickly.

 ### 47. Infinitely better than spreadsheets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2014

**What do you like best about Uptempo?**

The fact that everyone has visibility into the budget. It makes it easy to keep all of our expenses up to date.

**What do you dislike about Uptempo?**

When dragging or moving things around within the budgets, you have to be very precise with your mouse. Additionally, sometimes the drop downs don't work correctly. For example, you could select a certain vendor and it will oddly jump to a different selection.

**What problems is Uptempo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having a real issue reconciling the data that finance had with our expense records. Now we have the ability to make sure that both records match up and that everything is coded properly.

**Official Response from Jeff Epstein:**

> The August 2016 platform upgrade introduced a new way to move line items, categories and sub-categories both within and between budgets, making this process faster and more reliable.
