"Painless Onboarding, Proactive Support, and Fast Vendor Additions"
5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

Where to begin? The onboarding process was painless, especially with the help we received from UpGuard. We’re also on a monthly schedule with a dedicated rep who checks in on our progress, answers questions, and shares the latest updates on the software. If there’s anything he can’t answer directly, he schedules time with an engineer so we can get the right information. Adding new companies to our ever-growing list is about as simple as it gets. Everyone we’ve added so far was already part of UpGuard’s list, and it takes less than five minutes to add them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

The only issue I have is that creating our own security questionnaires within the platform isn’t very easy. The way we’d like to ask certain specific questions can be difficult to configure. We have a home-built questionnaire that we still continue to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

The AI functionality is really great but if you have customer questionaires that have YES/NO answeres then a response field for each question, the solution is to run the questionaire twice through the AI. W0uld be nice to see this all in 1 fell swoop Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool for Vendor Vetting with Room for Portal Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

I appreciate Vendor Risk because it helps us vet companies effectively by showing us the certifications they have, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. This feature is crucial for understanding the security components and making informed decisions. It's also reassuring to have a responsive support team available, which was evident during the setup process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

I would say sometimes it's a little bit cumbersome and getting the vendor to respond in a timely manner. Sometimes it's a little bit confusing for them on what to respond to. The portal isn't as clear as it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Vendor Management and Eases Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

I like the automation of a very time-consuming process with UpGuard. It saves so much effort that's usually involved in manually tracking security questionnaires. I also appreciate the ability to customize questionnaires to be as specific as needed, allowing us to create based on our needs rather than being restricted to older templates. Setting it up was extremely easy. We were up and running in just a couple of hours. Importing a list of our vendors from a spreadsheet was very fast and easy, unlike manual input. Moreover, the support from the person at Upwork was outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

There could be a better audit trail of data collection as far as when questionnaires are created, when they're sent, when they're followed up on, or when they're answered by the vendors. I would like a better audit trail showing me who did what and when. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Faster Vendor Risk Analysis with Reasonable Pricing and Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

This tool has improved our workflow by making it much faster to search for and analyze a vendor’s risk, so we can decide whether we want to partner with that vendor. The pricing feels fairly reasonable given the range of use cases it supports. We’ve also had great support from the vendor, and the onboarding process was quick and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

The only downside is that there are sometimes way too many platform updates, and they can throw us off. Some of the updates are great, but others not so much. Rarely do we run into some misinformation or false positives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined and Effective Vendor Risk Management"
5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

What I appreciate most about UpGuard Vendor Risk is its intuitive and user-friendly design. The platform centralizes vendor assessments, security questionnaires, and third-party risk management into a single dashboard, making it easy to navigate and manage key processes efficiently.

One of its strongest features is the visibility it provides into each vendor’s security posture. This enables our team to quickly identify potential risks, prioritize actions, and make informed decisions. The platform’s integrations with our existing tools have also streamlined workflows by reducing manual effort and improving overall efficiency.

Additionally, the real-time monitoring and security rating updates help us stay proactive by providing timely insights into changes that may affect our vendors’ risk profiles. Since implementing UpGuard, we have seen significant improvements in the efficiency, visibility, and consistency of our vendor risk management program.

The onboarding process was smooth, and the support team has been responsive and helpful whenever assistance was needed. Overall, UpGuard has proven to be a valuable solution that strengthens our ability to manage third-party risk with greater confidence and effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

While UpGuard is a strong and capable platform overall, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the user experience. Certain features, such as questionnaire customization, workflow configuration, and reporting, can require a learning curve before users can fully leverage their capabilities. For new users, the breadth of available information and functionality may feel overwhelming initially.

The platform integrates well with existing tools and systems, helping streamline vendor risk management processes. However, expanding the range of native integrations would provide even greater flexibility and reduce the need for manual workarounds. Performance is generally reliable, though generating complex reports or working with large datasets can occasionally take longer than expected.

My experience with onboarding and customer support has been positive, with the support team consistently responsive and helpful. That said, additional guided tutorials, onboarding resources, and best-practice recommendations would make it easier for new users to become proficient more quickly.

The AI-powered insights are a valuable feature for identifying and assessing potential risks. Further enhancements to automated analysis, risk prioritization, and remediation recommendations could make these capabilities even more impactful.

Overall, these are relatively minor considerations and do not detract from the significant value UpGuard provides. The platform remains an effective solution for managing vendor risk, improving visibility, and sup Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Security Posture Management"
5/5
What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

I use UpGuard mainly to monitor and assess our company's security posture. It helps me quickly identify risks, track vulnerabilities, and get clear visibility into third-party security issues. As an analyst, it makes my job easier because I can see potential problems early and report them before they become bigger threats. It's straightforward, reliable, and saves me time when doing daily security checks. UpGuard helps me quickly spot vulnerabilities across our systems and vendors, so I don't waste time digging through different tools. It gives clear reports I can share with my team, which makes it easier to prioritize fixes and reduce risks before they grow. UpGuard stands out to me because it makes risk management clear and practical. It gives a full view of our security posture, highlights vulnerabilities across systems and vendors/clients, and presents the information in a way that's easy to understand. This helps me act faster, prioritize the most important issues, and feel confident that I'm addressing real risks instead of spending time chasing noise. I find UpGuard especially helpful because it gives me a clear picture of risks without making things complicated. The dashboards are easy to navigate, and the reports highlight the most important issues so I know exactly where to focus. I also appreciate how it streamlines third-party risk monitoring, since vendor security can be tricky to track. Overall, it works well because it saves time, reduces guesswork, and makes it easier to act quickly on real threats. The setup process for UpGuard was smooth for our team. We were able to get it running quickly without complicated steps, and the platform guided us well through the initial configuration. It didn't take long before we had useful insights showing up in the dashboards, which made it easy to start applying the tool in our daily work right away. It's been effective whether the team was smaller or as we expanded, which makes it flexible for different sizes of organizations. Even at around a hundred people, the platform was easy to roll out and gave us the visibility we needed without adding extra complexity. It scaled well with the team and fit smoothly into our workflow. UpGuard has been reliable, easy to use, and it really helps our team stay on top of risks quickly and effectively. I would definitely recommend it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?

One thing that could be improved in UpGuard is the level of detail in some of the findings; sometimes the results feel too broad. The navigation between different reports can also feel a bit clunky, so smoother transitions would help. I think more flexibility in customizing alerts and dashboards would be valuable too, since it would let me focus more directly on the risks that matter most to my role.
