In many cases, the cause of seeing the same content can be resolved by reducing the time period you filtering articles on (maybe 7 days vs 60 days) and changing the sort to "Recency", bringing the newest articles to the top. Thanks for sharing your perspective. While we do integrate with any email management platform that allows for content to be pulled from an RSS feed, a drag-and-drop integration would be awesome! What technology is your favorite for these efforts?

While it is great to hear that you are able to leverage UpContent to listen for mentions of your company in news and blog articles, I am sorry to hear you didn't find the approach to search valuable.

I certainly agree that our emphasis on the use of boolean operators to develop your search queries adds a level of difficulty beyond what you would find in your everyday use of a search engine - and does create a bit of a learning curve when first using UpContent.

The reason behind this decision was to combat the challenge we faced ourselves when looking for compelling and engaging articles that speak not only about our organizations directly, but also the context in which they operate - and that our target audience would find interesting. The use of a Boolean structure allows for a level of specificity needed to develop niche searches that only return the articles that matter most.
