Unleashed is easy to use, clear and understandable. We have also found hat the service offered is reliable and useful. I would recommend this to a small or medium company that wants in off the shelf inventory management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like that the margin calculations are prominently displayed for each line item in the sales transactions. We also like the simplicity and ease of access to the units sold reporting. Purchase- and Sales order entry is intuitive, and the final document templates present well to customers and suppliers. I like that we can specify specific revenue accounts for customers that overrides the defaults that are set. I like that different date formats were added for US customers. I like that a specific adjustment account can now be set on the Stock Adjustment form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Don't like the inflexible dating of transactions. It is unrealistic to impose "real-time, perpetual" inventory recordkeeping on your customers. Real-life inventory operations simply aren't handled that way. Often we are catching up the recordkeeping to ins/outs that have already occurred. The fact that we can't back-date transactions is a real obstacle.
It isn't easy to change quantities/pricing received on purchase transactions. We receive in Unleashed upon notice of delivery but sometimes the quantity delivered varies from ordered, which we don't know until we receive supplier's invoice. At that time, the Unleashed transactions are final and the only way to handle is via Stock Adjustment. There is no system mechanism to reference back to the PO on a Stock Adjustment other than a "Comment" field. We just don't like that every transaction is so final and unable to be un-done.
It would be nice to have more control over when transactions export to Xero, such as a batch export option and even be able to de-select some transactions from the export.
When creating a new stock adjustment line, costing is automatically populated, which is great. However, if we edit the adjustment line in the bottom portion of the screen, the auto-refresh of costing data no longer occurs.
Hate the fact that when browsing transactions, after dialing into a form, then going back to the list, that the interface has no memory of where you left off in the list views and simply defaults back to Open transactions.
Transaction list views should bring in the Product Description as well as Product code. Currently, we have to have a cross-reference of Product Code to Description available when trying to understand our Transaction list views.
Support response times are slow and the responses are shallow. Only so much can be accomplished via a ticket and at a certain stage, your team should initiate a phone call to quickly and completely solve the issues. Support documentation, the community forums, and Unleashed University are all disconnected. Unleashed University should be included in the subscription pricing at the higher levels.
I was surprised when Unleashed announced that they were going to be developing support for Quickbooks Online, in view of the fact that ease-of-use is so lacking in the Xero integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It works. We have products set up and the program does what it was made to do.
One part that works well is the Purchase Order and Sales Order section. These seem to work well for us without a hitch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are numerous features which are not present on the platform that need to be implemented. Disassembly of a product, back dating transactions, undoing completed transactions.
The platform is extreamly inflexible. We frequently have problems with transactions that are not completed properly. They may have the wrong price, or quantity, and we need to go back an update this quantity. Dear Inventory has these features and it would be great if unleashed incorporated them.
Unleashed's support forum is extreamly underwhelming. The support pages have very little information on them. After using this system for several years, I am still not able to log into Unleashed Support. Why on earth would my login to Unleashed not log me into the support community. That blows my mind. Also, Unleashed university is a paid service!? We are already paying to be customers and can hardly get any useful support, and this section is paid. Unbelievable.
Many of the reports/document exports from Unleashed cannot be customized. This is very frustrating. Several of the reports use Product Code to represent the product. It is extreamly annoying when I print these reports and every product is represented by 3030, 3023, 3089, 3096, 3191. How on earth am I supposed to know what product this associates to? They should include the product description 100%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
