## Unit4 ERP Reviews
  ### 1. The "Lego" of ERP Systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan J. | Technology Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Unit4 Business World (Agresso) is very powerful and flexible ERP system. The power is in the flexibility, multi-currency support, open architecture and reporting options. This flexibility works for both initial setup and also as your organization changes. This product is designed to help deal with organizations that may restructure or have various types of "churn". i.e. If a department reports to one group then later to another group that change can be reflected and managed. Reporting with multiple sets of "codes" for various needs can be accommodated all with the flexibility in Business World.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Some of the biggest advantages of Unit4 Business World are also it's disadvantages. It is so flexible it can be hard to know where to start. You have to build out a good plan for initial setup, and what your organization needs. With so much flexibility there can be big challenges with complexity. Having technical people involved in the process is extremely important. This should be both IT people that can understand basic Accounting and Accounting people that are comfortable with technology and understand things from a technical perspective.

The documentation form Unit4 is very bad. They do seem to be making an effort to improve some knowledge sharing with recent moves with their technical portal, but basic documentation is still needs to be improved.

The on-boarding process for new employees to use the system can be very challenging.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

You need to have the right technical people involved and be able to think creatively about your needs. With great power comes great challenges :)

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Unit4 Business World for all our accounting need and are expanding the depth of use. We also use payroll (payroll US Only) and HR features as well as budgeting though their planner module. We do all this (except payroll) for 20+ countries. We have benefited by being able to much easier consolidate our financials from all our countries for faster and more accurate reporting.

  ### 2. Vice President of Enterprise Accounting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesús M. P. | Treasurer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

These are the aspect of Unit4 Business World that I like best:
•	TCO or Total Cost of Ownership - Unit4 Business World offers the most cost-effective total cost among all providers of the first and second level.
•	Ability for each entity to remain unique: Each of our international subsidiaries has their own clients. The main advantage is that you can meet local requirements such as local GAAP and presentation of reports in the local currency. There is no limitation to the number of clients, and there is no additional cost.
•	Multi-currency environment: With Unit4 Business World it is possible to record transactions in any currency, including bitcoin. You can keep accounting records in three different currencies and varied by client. The currency revaluation feature is perfect as it meets different accounting standards. You can reevaluate per account, account type, different currency tables, and general accounting. The integration with Oanda, a leader in currency information, works perfectly.
•	Global Reports are consolidated between clients - with browser functionality the financial reports consolidated can be prepared by taking information easily using the reporting currency.
•	Workflow - visual workflow diagram design facilitates the business auditing process and transactions. Workflow with document archives is a key feature to free the office from excess paper handlings.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

In the spirit of constructive criticism, I think that the areas where Unit4 can improve are:
•	The configuration of the payment process needs improvement. Too much time is required to set up a payment such as a check, bank transfer, etc.
•	Allow a central console to manage changes to the chart of accounts and common attributes in the multi-client configurations.
•	The customer service needs improving because the staff of Unit4 is overloaded. They have a great staff but are overloaded with too many projects at the same time. Customer service relies heavily on consultants and the response time is slow.
•	Educational material and training. Unit4 does not have good training materials. My recommendation is to take advantage of modern MOOC platforms (Massive Online Courses) to educate the user. For example, one of the keys to Microsoft and SAP’s success are precisely their certification program techniques.
•	The functionality of different types of fiscal years must be improved. We found no configuration that did not create a conflict between groups of accounts balances versus groups of account activities. At Heifer®, to solve the problem, we had to standardize fiscal years and create special reports.
•	The tax calculation module can be improved. It requires many tests to understand the final code and the impact on transactions.
•	The payroll module only works in the United States and Canada. My recommendation for it is to be able to function with other countries.
•	There is a lack of good documentation regarding the structure of the database. My recommendation is to produce better technical documentation to be able to produce auxiliary software specific for each company.
•	There is no Customer Relationship Management Module (CRM). It is important to mention that they are studying the possibility to leverage the CRM functionality.
•	The licensing process is not clear. My recommendation is to define an “active user” versus an “occasional user.”

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

An ERP, by definition, is a sophisticated software and hardware system. An ERP is not a solution for all problems. It is important to define your problem and thus the project goals. An ERP is a solution to a problem. If you have not defined your problem and then embark on an ERP project because it is "super modern," then the ERP will be your problem.

My top three recommendations are:

1. Only if you have the support of senior management and the President, get on board an ERP project; otherwise, do not.

2. Standardization of business processes is a critical success factor for an ERP. Without standardization, there is no successful ERP. For example, standard accounting principles and job descriptions.

3. No investment in training means, no return on investment. Only a trained user can maximize investment in an ERP system.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since the implementation of the ERP Unit4 Business World, we at Heifer International® has streamlined processes, such as the closure of accounts and preparation of the Consolidated Financial Statements. The complexity of working in a multi-currency environment has been reduced. This is thanks to multiple solutions that include: foreign currency management, managing intercompany transactions, and customer consolidation solutions to manage the elimination transactions and statutory adjustment. Managers are now making decisions based on real-time information.

The summary of the benefits and results are as follows:
•	Simplification of the annual closing and preparation of consolidated financial statements
•	Simplification and standardization of the revaluation process without the need to make manual calculations. No need to reevaluate the foreign currency in an Excel file with an average exchange rate because - with the Revaluation module and Oanda subscription - the system updates daily exchange rates and translation of foreign currency transactions to dollars automatically. The revalorization of assets and liabilities at the end of the month is done in the same system.
•	No need to collect data from different systems because all necessary data is contained in the same ERP database.
•	Intercompany transactions (transactions that occur between headquarters and subsidiaries abroad) are automatically recorded in each country’s books in the ERP.
•	The financial information includes more relevant and comprehensive information, for decision-makers on time. Another important feature is comparability between entities at Heifer®.
•	The exponential increase of managing accounting because reports are provided for internal analysis. The browser in Agresso offers the flexibility to generate the appropriate report for the correct situation. This tool has a "deepening" feature. In other words, the ability to see the details behind an information summary.
•	Increased financial transparency. With a few clicks, the auditor may pass from a brief indication of the browser (or reporting tool) from the details of a major account or a payable voucher account.
•	Increased internal controls because there is a direct link to the single transactions that make up the state so that fraud and abuse of assets can be detected more easily.
•	Improves human capital and project management.
•	Save hundreds of hours of labor since the implementation of the ERP. As an example, in the past, it took more than fifteen people and two months to prepare financial data for consolidation. Now, this information is already in the systems in local currency, functional currency, and reporting currency (US dollars). These 15+ people can do more analytical work such as the use of global reports to make important decisions in real time.
•	Additionally, a conservative economic estimate is that Heifer® saves more than $125,000 per year since the implementation of Unit4 Business World.

  ### 3. If your willing to put the time in at the start you'll reap the rewards later

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nik A. | Financial Systems Accountant, Government Administration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

It's a highly customizable platform

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Odd restriction to what can be customised

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

It's worth looking at, but it's not an out of the box solution. You need to out in the leg work at the beginning or you can end up paying for it later on

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Electronic recording of annual leave, timesheets and expense claims, all AP and AR functionality, automated MI reporting, informed workflow,

  ### 4. Newly Implemented Financial System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mathieu M. | Deputy Director, Financial Management System Renewal, Legislative Office, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Software is easily configurable and flexible for ongoing maintenance (as long as you don't customize it!) It offers strong financial/accounting functionality with an easy to use interface for both light and heavy users. The reporting is likely the strength of this tool, allowing users to easily extract/view the data they need.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

When you start using functions/modules outside of their speciality, the system tends to lack some functionality. Because of its flexibility, you can typically get away with it if it's not core to your business or complex. That said, their integration tools are great, so integrating to best in breed of other systems should be easily feasible.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an ERP system that was too large for our organisation, costing us hundreds of thousands with little value added. Already, 2 months after implementation, we've had major cost savings (on licences, maintenance and support and implementation/upgrade costs) and improved much of the functionality we used to have before, with still plenty of place to grow and add.

  ### 5. Good reporting capabilities but implementation is complex and education solutions need some love

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

UNIT4 has robust reporting capabilities. Ask not IF data can be exported, but HOW. You can also setup complex formulas (SQL or Excel formulas) to remove manual edits after exporting.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The implementation process is a long slog, and the implementation process is not really user-friendly. You need a dedicated team to implementing this solution to your organization and you need to explicitly ask for features that you would assume are standard in most accounting systems (i.e. the ability to reconcile your bank accounts).

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are removing a lot of manual work in Excel for our organization's budgeting and reporting needs.

  ### 6. Reliable, flexible, and easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul G. | Manager of Revenue and Business Systems, Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The flexibility is great. If you can think it, you can do it. Entering data, reporting data, and importing data can be done many ways making Unit4 easy to use with other systems. If is also easy to get the data you want, how you want it. Getting reports the way you want them is easy in the system.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Users with limited experience can find it hard to use because it is so flexible and there are many menu items and options available. This can be easily solved with training or custom reports for users that have difficulties.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

It is flexible which is nice but that also makes it hard to get settings correct. Document and learn the settings.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unit4 is our main GL software used for day to day entries, tracking of project costs, and payroll. Unit4 also gracefully imports entries from other systems allowing us to keep everything in one place.

  ### 7. Great flexible ERP system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I work for a non-profit. It's is a very flexible platform and we have been able to expand the system to suit our needs in this industry. Unit4 was able to make additions to fit our needs. Their customer service and support team is great and is probably the best support team that I have ever dealt with.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

There are some things that are not as flexible as I would like so it requires additional work to do changes. It does require some work to administer so you should be prepared to have someone in-house that can administer the system or go with the cloud based solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

It's a great system.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Business World we were using multiple platforms for HR, Accounting, Timesheets, etc. It has saved us time having everything integrated into one system.

  ### 8. New Unit 4 Business World User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian N. | Controller, Director of Global Accounting, Medical Devices, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

So far, we at PATH have just completed the design phase and entering the build phase of our first installation of the cloud-based version of Unit 4's Business World. So our experience is essentially theoretical at this point. I like the apparent ease of use, the design of the interface, and the workflow management capabilities especially.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

I have no criticisms at this point, but will have better information once we enter the test phase for our new system during Q3 of 2017.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We will be doing substantially better analysis to run our institution in a more seamless fashion and reallocate our time from reacting to fixing classification errors to doing more predictive analysis to identify where we may have concerns with our projects.

  ### 9. 18 years and seeing more opportunities with year progressing year

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The 7 posting attributes and relational structure allowing for a very robust reporting structure. Ability to takes views to build tables to expand the base which help to grow the power of the reporting structure. Powerful inquiry and reporting tools.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Firstly if you had a bad original build or made bad choices along the way it is almost impossible to recover without starting all over. That it is hard to get development work when it is needed from your Unit4 local office. We have had to go to Australia, now we are working with consultants in Colombia and our next stop is Consultants in Brazil.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Ensure that you have consultants that are very familiar with the product and it's possibilities. Often the build out of the box is not the right solution. Being creative and looking at the requirements from many angles will give you a better final build. Start with your required reporting and build backwards. What you posted to the GL historically can really be different with all the possiblities in Agresso don't be rigid, test out a couple of ideas before locking yourself down to one solution.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In order to manage our every growing product offering we have taken advantage of Flexi Fields, IntellAgent and reporting to build a powerful process to manage development and change to the product master file. The next project is making Agresso book of record in some of the most challenging environments in South America. No benefits yet but if this is successful it will help to open the door for more customers to use UBW in South America.

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Thank you for your review. Without knowing the name of your organization, and the specifics of your implementation; I agree that it is important when doing an international implementation to design the to-be structure before starting the configuration. Our advice if you are planning an international roll-out is to first take time with a globally-oriented team to align on business processes and agree on what data is stored where (one source of truth). With that team you will build a global golden client, considering ahead of time any locally specific requirements. This becomes more important when considering HR, Payroll and globally run Projects and resource allocation. Where Unit4 Business World is indeed flexible, in some areas design decisions can be more involved for making changes later. We have evolved our implementation processes and have developed Best Practice solutions. Our experience building that solution will help us help you develop your own golden client. One thing to strongly consider is a globally supported Project Governance (someone needs to set the direction and decide on conflicting requirements) and ensure there is an Organizational Change Management team in place at the start of the project. Please do contact me directly if you would like further help with your project.

  ### 10. Powerful & flexbile software system for payroll

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The software is configurable to meet an organizations needs from basic to unique, providing flexibility where you must adhere to policies and collective agreements and you want the payroll system to do the heavy lifting rather than rely on spreadsheets or tracking data outside of payroll. Business World also has good reporting capabilities, allowing administrators to create reports quickly and export them to Microsoft products (Excel and Word) or to PDF easily. The IntellAgent (notification system) is a useful tool that monitors the system and send emails to users when specific parameters are met.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Since Business World is configurable, it is very unlikely that your setup is exactly the same as another organizations, so troubleshooting any issues by Unit4 Customer Support may take some time, or be forwarded to a Unit4 business analyst for help. Ensure that there are a number of super users within the organization that know how the system works inside and out, and that internal documentation was produced during implementation and updated as needed.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We transitioned away from an old finance/payroll ERP system that had poor reporting capabilities, so Business World far exceeds what we had before

**Official Response from Atle Aune:**

> I am glad to hear that you find the system easy to configure and that you can make changes yourself on the fly. Nice to hear that you find our reporting capabilities good, and IntellAgent helpful. Flexibility comes with a cost, and sometimes it can be difficult for support to understand each and every change made to processes at various customer sites. It is good to hear that you have made improvements with Business World. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss any support issues. Atle Aune, Global Head of Customer Support. Atle.Aune@unit4.com

  ### 11. Unit4 Business World has made many processes more automated and easier to trace.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil M. | Business Analyst, Government Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I like the agility in areas like workflow, intelagents, scheduled reports, etc

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Sometimes Unit4 development seems to focus on frills that don't matter to most customers, like getting Alexa to talk to Wanda. Making existing modules better would be a better use of development time, like allowing timesheet app users to select a position, or making forms more dynamic.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Plan your chart of accounts carefully.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Business World for payroll AP, AR, general finance, asset management, inventory management, budgeting, and more. The biggest problems that is solves is that it reduces manual work by automating things like approvals, workflow, etc, as well as having an audit trail for those things.

  ### 12. Unit4 BusinessWorld

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The system covers so many different modules that you can have one system of record for all HR and Finance processes. This saves a ton of time.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Configuring the system is not super intuitive. The system is not as sleek or modern looking as it could be.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One integrated system that makes our HR and Finance processes easier.

  ### 13. ERP System Review from a Technical Viewpoint

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen N. | Enterprise Solutions Project Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

- Role based access
- Desktop and web client access
- Centralized desktop client (no need to install\update client software on user's computers)
- Lots of options for configuration

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

- Lots of unknown or less documented configuration options
- Lack of good documentation
- Company is slow to implement highly rated or requested feature requests

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Professional services is lacking and seems to be going away. Consider a 3rd party implementation consultant.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Centralized financial, accounting, HR and timesheet system
- Centralized control of financial and HR data
- Improved visibility into what access users have to what data

**Official Response from Vibeke Nesbakken:**

> Thanks for your review. We strive to deliver documentation that covers the main configuration. We are sorry to hear that it is not sufficient for your needs. Our documentation is created for super users that have some product knowledge. I would appreciate feedback on what you feel is missing from our documentation in order to satisfy your needs and to improve on our delivery.

  ### 14. It has been a very difficult experience using this system in our organization.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenda B. | Country Office Administrator, International Affairs, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I like the possibilities the system offers, all the features that might be of great help if we had all the support needed to make this system really work for us.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The constant changes our organization has to do to make it more suitable to our needs. Also the lack of technical expertise in USA and the countries to help solving all the issues in a timely manner.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

These recommendations are from a user´s point of view.
First, get guarantee of technical assistance until the system is fully working for the whole organization.
Second, make sure to gather all the organization needs worldwide, get all the right configuration, technical experts in house.
Third, keep a parallel system until your are completely sure your Unit4 ERP is fully and properly working.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our financial data in one place, Online access from everywhere,

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Hi Brenda.
Thank you for your review- Honest feedback is appreciated.

When implementing internationally indeed one should decide what path one is taking. There can be multiple ways to a solution for an international organization. It all depends on how you use resources internationally on your projects and how you want to report inter-company and consolidation. I agree that it is advisable to work on the global design requirements first before creating a final solution especially when considering our GIS solution. We have taken your feedback already in our implementation methodology. Truth is that designing a global structure takes some time at the start but will help later. A global structure also means that global change management needs to be an integral part of your implementation. Depending on the size of the implementation, it warrants a change management expert to be part of the team. From a tooling perspective (GIS is a tool), we are constantly working on improving GIS. We recognize that more and more customers operate their business globally and in fact is one of Unit4's key differentiators. I there is anything specific I can do, or if you would like to provide me with some more specific feedback around the tooling, feel free to reach out via Linked In.

  ### 15. Unit4 Business World can handle most anything we have thrown at it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew S. | Chief Financial Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The most powerful feature of UBW is Excelerator. It's flexibility and capabilities when it comes to reporting and posting information back to the system are extremely useful.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The layout and views on some of the screens/boxes in both self service and smart client can be very frustrating to manage.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are much more efficient as an organization since implementing Business World. Workflow allows us to have a more thorough review process saving time on the back end. We have complex financial statements which are able to mostly automate thanks to the power of Excelerator.

All this can lead to a smart easy adaptable business solutions that can change with the times and keep moving your business forward in a positive and productive manner.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Endless slicing and dicing of info. means you have confidence that you can create a report that will meet your needs.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

So much flexibility! LOL It's more difficu

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Have used Nisi / Wang (old school), Computron and SAP. Unit 4 Business World (Agresso) is the bomb! Another really great thing about Unit 4 is that their support people are Accountants. They know the business which is awesome. The last global software supplier I used had IT people or IT consultants as their support which sometimes made it difficult to communicate business process needs.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is a comprehensive solution to GL, payroll, AP, AR, Purchasing, Stores and Planner. One stop shopping for all of the modules needed to run a business. Also owned Fixed Assets but haven't implemented yet.

  ### 18. Continuous Development

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Continuously developing software solution, embracing new technologies. It is an adaptable and flexible system allowing it to be set up to meet organizational requirements and overall is user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Sometimes new solutions are provided without the necessary supporting documentation and support in place.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Unit4 Business World offers a flexible and stable ERP solution, which is continually developing in line with new technologies. There is a strong history of customer focus,

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dependable, flexible tool for managing various organizational activities; in our case, budgeting, purchasing, and financials.

  ### 19. My Unit 4 experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Very powerful and flexible system, reliable and secure too.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

if you have limited knowledge of SQL programming it is difficult to implement any changes to the system, if your system is hosted on the cloud there is very limited access to the data tables. Unit 4 support is patchy and expensive to say the least.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Do not go for the cloud solution.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ABW for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Management Accounts, we hope to implement the Purchasing Card feature soon too.

  ### 20. The road to the upgrade was very rocky and several sections were still under construction.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne D. | Director of Facilities, Non-Profit Organization Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

We just got access to the system this week, I'll reserve my opinion until I've had a chance to us it

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Field Service Management seems to be pieced together. we are still unable to get consistent reports. the PM side of the system has become very difficult to use. what took 4 steps before now takes 8 or 9 and we are dropping some altogether.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

working on saving and printing W/O. working on Printing out monthly Pms. Working on posting billable hours.

**Official Response from Jeremy Roche:**

> Wayne, thank you for your review. I apologize for the challenges you are having with Field Service Management. Feedback is extremely valuable and we take it carefully into consideration as we improve our products. If you would like to give me some more information on the areas you think we can improve, then please feel free to contact me at cpooffice@unit4.com to discuss your needs. Thank you, Jeremy Roche, Chief Product Officer.

  ### 21. Sr. DBA on MS SQL server, Oracle DB, Sybase. Also an Admin on AGRESSO Application server.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Agresso has a consolidated database for the whole information about Agresso ABW, CentralCommand versions. So we can get the whole version info from one DB.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The Agresso ABW, CentrolCommand, and Report Engine are not a consolidated software package, which has caused the complexity in the processes of installation, configuration, and upgrading. You can see the current Windows software, SQL server software, or Oracle DB software, or Unix OS software, they are all a consolidated software package. These consolidated software packages made the installation, configuration, and upgrading much easier. This is the current industrial trend.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

It is a good software for Travel Finance.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to upgrade the current AGresso ABW and CentralCommand from version 553 to Milestone 5.

**Official Response from Jeremy Roche:**

> Thank you for review – we appreciate the feedback. Yes, there is some overhead to manage an application landscape with multiple 'best of breed' solutions and as I'm sure you are aware, Central Command is joint solution between Unit4 and Sabre. We are solving the application landscape challenges with significant investments to consolidate on the Unit4 People Platform from where in the future all system administration for Unit4 applications can be done. Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss this further with one of my product experts at cpooffice@unit4.com.

Flexibiltity, reporting features, customization options

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Some technical flaws, difficulty level of creating some custom reports

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Unit4 can integrate finance and HR functionality with a student management system, making it a good fit for my organization.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The design and testing process has been challenging.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the integration of back office systems. The system hasn't gone live yet so we won't see the benefits in action until next year.

  ### 24. Technical back office review of Unit4 Business World On! (Agresso)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon K. | ERP Systems Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

What the software is built on. Agresso was built on modern development tools and everything that was used is in the Microsoft Stack. This makes it easy to understand what the code is doing and to make the modifications that are required to run a business. Agresso is built on Microsoft SQL Server and it can be run on Oracle if your business requires it (Oracle db is much more expensive). The big part is the software is built with C# in the .net framework (Huge benefit) the "Top Gen" modification of the GUI is program once for both Desktop client and the Web client (why don't more ERP systems do that?). When using SQL Server the tables and the names are very human readable not some CRAZY normalized db to the extreme (trying to get a tiny bit of extra performance?). This is what ERP software should be like.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Unit4 has been focusing on "Bells and Whistles" to much with "Experience Packs" and not making the back office code with integrations for all modules rock solid. Don't get me wrong when there are integration processes in Agresso they are rock solid it is just the "Sales" department at Unit4 is all about the fancy "Experience Packs".

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

If you want an actual ERP system build on a modern development environment this is almost the only one on the market. Ask all the other ERP vendors what they are built on and they will try to point you to their add-on's extra programs created with new development but if you dig deep (you REALLY have to push! they don't want you to know) to see that most of the big ERP packages are built on 1970's COBOL or 1980's RPG or some other proprietary development language and it will cost you to fit your business into that system.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to consolidate a number of in house built programs and put them into Agresso.

  ### 25. Unit4 Business World

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Very integrated system, generally. There are a lot of options offered and most of them operate well, like other financial systems.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Integration is not perfect and some modules seem to behave differently from the rest.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Business require more resources to support this system. Some of the support can be quite technical.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for our financial system. I like the concept of workflows.

  ### 26. There is fortunately massive customization and unfortunately massive customization.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I enjoy the web portal which makes access easier for users.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

I dislike our financial setup and the complications that we have created by using our customized solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Do your homework. Fix your internal processes and map them out BEFORE you try to start an implementation or conversion. Shine a flashlight in those dark corners because there will be a spotlight on them when the conversion hits full swing.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved a lot of workflow issues and made reports and information available for easy access by management. We've also kissed paper timesheets goodbye and have realized the benefits of a paperless payroll.

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Thanks for your feedback. I like hearing that we have improved your timesheet processes. I personally like doing expenses and timesheets on our mobile applications. So efficient and fast.
It is true that because U4BW is so flexible it is important to remain critical about what we build as a solution to meet all your requirements. That is why UNIT4 more and more encourages best practices and works with you on how we can change your organizational requirements to fit in those best practices. To unravel your original design requires some heavy lifting work! The good news is that you can do that within the software. Please advise if you would like us to assist you in the analysis of the change and the efforts required to achieve a change.

  ### 27. I recommend Unit4 ABW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

ABW is an extremely versatile product allowing us to solve our business needs. Excellent product support. Good user community, and great product to customer engagement.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Sometimes there are many ways to solve an issue, and the breadth of possibilities and ability to configure can make it difficult to come up with the best solution that is the easiest to maintain. We've needed to remove some of our solutions because they were solutions that could not grow, and became unwieldy to maintain.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Engage their consulting team. Be very detailed in your review of your business needs, your 5-10 year planned usage / future implementations. Buy the products as needed and don't do workarounds.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of invoice, requisition, and PO process. Paperless accounting. Budgeting and forecasting. Pcard business process implementation. Workflows to prevent incorrect entries into master files,. These are all BIG efficiency gains.

  ### 28. 35+ years in the IT industry in a variety of roles and responsibilities.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Sr. Business Application Analyst, Government Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

User friendliness and functionality flexibility

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

That UNIT4 is diminishing the role of Desktop with the goal of eliminating it.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Great software, easy to use, very flexible functionality, robust & stable app

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aside from the usual support issues, designing and modifying user queries and reporting needs.

  ### 29. Excellent all round ERP system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The flexibility within the system has allowed us to tailor the system to suit our business needs. With the use of excellerator the reporting posibillities are extremely powerful and robust. They have allowed us to create a suite of reports for project accounting / management accounting and statutory reporting without the need for multiple software packages.
We have overseas locations and we are able to use Unit 4 as the accounting software for these overseas locations and report consolidated group figures all from within the same system.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The payroll module although works correctly is not user friendly compated to off the shelf payroll software. There is no suite of standard reports so all reporting requirements have to be produced internally.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

The flexibility within the system means that it could suit nearly any business especially those that use project accounting. With an assisted build internal employees can gather the knowledge from consultants to configure and adapt the software to meet changes within the business environment on an ongoing basis.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use every module within Unit 4 Business Software to some extent. This means that across the entire business unit 4 is the main software used most employees for either project mangaement / timesheets / expenses / procurement / HR & Payroll. The benefits of this are that there is only one main system to run and maintain and there is no need to bring in data from external sources into one reporting system.

  ### 30. A product with great potential

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Senior Programmer/Analyst, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Complete environment, powerful capabilities, customization

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Lack of ready to go configurations and little to no support for technical fixes

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Simplify your processes as much as possible

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating many manual processes and having one solution for different business areas

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Hi David,
Thank you for your feedback. Since you started your implementation, Unit4 has developed more best practice solutions and changed our approach. More and more we are working with our customers to adopt standard best practices Our configured vertical solutions are still based on our flexible product and does allow for a "customization" of the pre-configuration. We do see our customer reaping benefit from a fully configured solution and being willing to adapt their processes the best practice. This in a lot of cases will require some tough decision making and more focus on organizational change. We are advising more and more our customers (particularly the larger ones) to include an organizational change specialist in their team. I am happy to engage more and please do reach out to me.

  ### 31. Unit4 Business World Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The expenses module makes submitting very straight-forward. The ability to restrict access using data control roles is very useful and the ability to create forms within the system so that we can move away from our current paper-based systems.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

In my opinion, a lack of high-level technical support around API's etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

It's great if you get the mobile apps for Expenses, I'd also recommend this for being able to create forms which can also be used in workflow processes, which results in a decrease in paper-based processes.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, we have been able to partly move away from some of our paper-based systems and move them into Business World. We have been able to give Sales Order Raisers the ability to choose where their invoices are emailed to.

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback. We have been increasing our Global resource pool with more API specific knowledge. Please let me know if you require more support in this area.
Tirza Löwensteyn SVP Global Practices. Tirza.lowensteyn@unit4.com

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The query and reporting functions, and ability to update reports "on demand" if new entries have been posted. Love Excelerator and the Postback function.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The complexity to set up processes. Also Web based product.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 Streamlined staffing

  ### 33. Challenging Yet Powerful Application

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Custom Browser and custom report building

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Multiple steps to complete most tasks and reversing accounting transactions can be difficult if not done correctly the first time.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

The powerful reporting tools are quite good but using the application itself can be challenging for those who are not savvy computer users and will require a great deal of training and support.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing and reporting data to company users

  ### 34. I love Unit4 Business world

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I think it is the best accounting system for travel. It has many different ways to create queries to get all the information needed.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Hotel and Car tracking seems to be an issue with duplications. A lot of it is garbage in , garbage out but the logic still needs refining.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Best Travel system out there.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

just great tracking for payables from Travel vendors, reporting options...

  ### 35. We use only the Travel component of Central Command, but it works for our purpose.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

that you can drill down to transaction details from a list and that inquiries are so customizable.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

System error responses that shut the whole application down,

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can report on almost any aspect of a travel related transaction simply by understanding the data that is collected and what field it is stored in within the Central Command application.

  ### 36. Milestone 3

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The incoming invoice module & AP Payments module are particularly brilliant. The workflows after a few tries if you get them right they work brilliantly as well.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Still unable to setup individual payment plans from the web. Unit4 needs to find a solution soon. Difficult to link users to active directory.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

I would highly recomend this software, specially to local governments & universities. Its easy to use & implement.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its quite a handy tool. We are in the process of implementing other modules as well. Authorisation & payments of invoices is a lot smoother & quicker. Action view over has improved tracing of outstanding sundry debtor invoices.

  ### 37. Unit4 Business World (Agresso)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

We have used Unit4 Business World formerly know as Agresso since 1999 and have appreciated the flexibility and stability of the software.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

It can be complex for some of our staff who are new to the organization or not directly involved in utilizing the software on a day to day basis.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Check it out.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great for analysis and drilling down to the account level detail to determine the make up of the expenditures being charged to department budgets. The roll up to the financial statement balances is easy and efficient.

  ### 38. Constant Learning Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle M. | Enterprise Solutions and Applications Specialist, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Business World has all the features we need to manage our business with the flexibility to handle our widespread needs globally and enough standardization to keep the "variables" in check. I am constantly amazed at how much functionality we still have not pulled into our daily work - keeps us on our toes.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Because we have such a variety of users, we needed to have a bit more direction when we initially implemented the system - we have many areas that we wish we had set up a bit differently. I willingly admit that our business processes were not standardized enough to clarify the build - but it would have been good for someone to put brakes on until there was enough consistency - and verify that what we were doing was a good practice.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Have your business processes clearly documented - you can always improve processes with systems, but you need to understand how your people work daily to set the system up in an effective manner.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are increasing transparency globally on all finances, resources, and activities. We have a much better grasp on our global operations that we had in previous years, enabling us to focus our funds in a much more efficient manner.

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Hi Michelle.
Thank you for your review - we appreciate your candid feedback and I'm glad you are finding value in the capabilities of Business World. In terms of the implementation, I apologize that you didn't get the direction you needed. We are always improving our implementation processes and this feedback helps push us in the right direction. If there is anything specific I can help you with, feel free to reach out.
Tirza Löwensteyn SVP Global Practices. Tirza.lowensteyn@unit4.com

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Agresso when set up right is very flexible and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Integration with 3rd party software takes time.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidated reporting with currency conversion. This is tricky and I'm still looking for ways to make it happen.

**Official Response from Tirza Lowensteyn:**

> Thank you for your review. We are glad that you appreciate the product's inherent flexibility. I'm sorry that integrations haven't been as rapid as you'd like. We have made great progress on this with more to come. Please do reach out to me for more help in the area of consolidation.

  ### 40. Unit4 Business World is a great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Ease of getting data out of the system, very flexible.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

With the flexibility comes different complexities, need to make sure you are smart in how you setup your system.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Take the time to think through the attributes you are setting up and thing through the consequences of them.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for ways to have flexibility in reporting. Through the many attributes we have added we have been able to accomplish this.

  ### 41. U4BW's Powerful Reporting Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

U4BW's easily configurable software enables our agency to capture data that meets our complex reporting requirements.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

We would love to see the Human Resource module align more closely with USA reporting requirements.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Interview current U4BW customers who are using the modules you are considering using.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a result of using U4BW, we are able to create detailed financial reports. In addition, our CFO created an informative property database for our internal users.

  ### 42. Business World review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nerissa M. | Finance Supervisor, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The workflow is really good and the module integration as well. I like that we can do most of our financial tasks in one spot. Approvals are a breeze and documentation is now easy to find.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The canned report layout is ugly and missing some basics that should be there like a depreciation schedule. There should be some decent basic financial reports that look fine out of the box and then customers can get fancy after that if they like. Canadian HST works in a clunky way.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

This is a great system. We are fairly small and it is expensive to us but well worth it as we can continue to grow with the product. It scales very well and we foresee being able to use it for many more years. There are a few drawbacks but these can be lived with and if Unit4 continues to address the deficiencies they will do well.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual tasks were taking too much time - we have realized a lot of time savings with the automation of some of our tasks. Approvals used to delay our process - these are much quicker as well.

  ### 43. I use UNit 4 Business World mainly for HR purposes, reporting and payroll info

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Dislike how history is lost when a position number changes

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

a collaborative usage

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

~ it's intuitive and fairly easy to use
~ the reporting functionality is fantastic

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

~ the Contracts module, seems to have been missed when upgrades are done
~ the fact that the system is moving to the Web and that Desktop will at some point disappear

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

We often do demos for other companies looking to purchase Unit4

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

~ reporting
~ we have realized some FTE savings over time

  ### 46. User Friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Unit4 financials is a very user friendly software. It easily adapts to our business and has been very easy to maintain.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

Would like to see a built in report writer.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest problems this solved was financial reporting. It used to take us days to provide monthly financial statements and we can now produce financial statements in less than 1/2 day.

  ### 47. Easy to use and report.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

Reporting functionality is easy to use for most.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

There is nothing in particular that I dislike

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The financial administration of our program

  ### 48. Constantly learning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Judiciary | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

I like everything it has to offer and is customizable for the needs of the company.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

I dislike the lack of explanation and descriptions in the manuals. Sometimes, the manual explains an item like it is so simple, but then I try to attempt the same thing and ... It doesn't WORK or is much more complex.

I also can not stand the lack of operators in browser reporting. Sometimes, I desperately need to use the MAX/MIN date of something, and my information is shotty because I can't, and my expressions become so messy trying to pull out the most correct information.

**Recommendations to others considering Unit4 ERP:**

Take the time to learn the product front to back. Learn all that you can from the consultants. Make sure what is promised to be implemented is actually implemented and explained and trained on usage. TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!!!

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintaining budgets and financial reporting.

  ### 49. Unit4 Business World is an excellent product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?**

The ability to configure the system instead of customizing it. The web interface used by most staff eliminates the need to do client installations on each PC. Electronic workflow approvals are excellent.

**What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?**

The inability to reconfigure some of the web pages such as adding additional fields.

**What problems is Unit4 ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Electronic workflow approvals have reduced approval times. Business World allows us to have staff enter travel and other reimbursable expenses. This is a module that we did not have in our previous Accounting System. Better reporting so staff can answer some of their own questions instead of calling the Finance unit for answers.
