Failry straigh foward to learn how to use it, once the user is committed to using it. I also like the fact that we have the capabitliy to add additional customers, test methods, etc., without having to bother your technical team for small things. Your development team has been super helpful during the development and training stages. It was nice to have patient trainers to help my team get on board. I like the data visulization feature a lot though we still need to use it more often. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** It has worked well so far. Occasionaly, we ran into unknown hurdles and your techncial team was able to address right away. I think, some changes made in the background could have an impact to user experience (interfact). **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us globalize our R&D teams and efforts, with all R&D teams and activities on the same platform. It also gives us the ability to search of the past experiment. It helps avoid reventing the wheel. We are still working to put in the experiments from the past 5 years. This creates a lot of value in terms of initiating new product development projects with a more advanced starting point (due to the ease at which we can review historical data) and the ability to build strong models that help us more quickly arrive at an optimized material composition. It has also eliminated steps in our process of capturing data and simplified the work of our lab technicians. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** Uncountable is not the most user friendly in terms of preparing charts and graphs, but I believe that they are working on this. Also, it takes some initial time investment to configure the software to your particular materials and tests, but once established it saves time. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping us prevent recreating R&D work that was previously completed and not properly documented. We are able to collect and record considerably more data than we used to without Uncountable. Then, it is easy to search data by properties, outputs, find similar data across the projects using filters. I think this is a core strength of Uncountable for a material science lab. I like that support staff is easily accessible and able to respond to our concers usually within a day or so. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** 1. Project management related tools are on their own poorer than a standalone software like MS Project. 2 Visualization tools are more diffucult and less intuitive to use even than MS Excel. Scientist want customizations for graphs. 3. Same as 2 but for Compare view when aranging data in a table.. Thus, to keep everything within one platform people compromize many other things. I mean there is the basic platform, and the administrators and users can modify and adapt it as their business is managed. As an example, for us, we have 3 different "versions" of the same platform to fit 3 different "Business Units". Everything was put in place from scratch. A huge journey, not completely done yet! We now have more that 100 users in the platform and most of them are using each day. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** It is the bad side of the advantage! The platform being "naked" when starting, the time and energy needed to deploy the platform is huge. Our data was always captured in notebooks and not typically shared between colleagues so a lot of re-work was done because we just didn't know it was done before. The system is very stable, and it is a modern, cloud-based software that can also be used at home. They offer great support if you want any custom work done, which is included in the yearly fee. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** Some features need further development, mainly related to the reporting tool, but we know they are working on it. We joined 18 months ago, and many features have improved since then. Due to the yearly fee structure, all customers keep regular contact and thus enhance the system with their feedback. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to store our laboratory data in excel files. This resulted in much unstructured data, poor searchability, poor data analysis, and experimental feedback. It took quite some effort to recover data from older experiments and more effort to use that data for analytical purposes. With uncountable, all our data is structured and easily retrievable. We can use all experiments for analytical purposes and thus obtain more data from them. Uncountable has excellent data analysis, statistical analysis and data visualization tools. Due to uncountable, we can develop new products more efficiently and have developed new products that would have been almost impossible without this data structuring. ### 17. Sometimes updates affect existing features. Issues usually get resolved within 24 hrs. Processing time can be slowed down when trying to compile very large amounts of data. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Centralization of data, consistency with inputs and outputs, traceability, efficiency with data collection (reduction in errors caused by manual entry of data), inventory tracking and standardization, real-time inventory decrementing. Since we have been using Uncountable, the time spent on data entry has significantly decreased since we can upload data directly from the testing instruments to the database. First, its Electronic Lab Notebook capabilities make finding any data created by anyone one the team fast with its fully searchable and intuitive interface. It really makes collaboration a breeze. Next, we have worked with the team there to integrate all of our testing such that we can design formulas, submit testing, and directly upload results back into the platform. Everything is centrally located and convenient. Next, Uncountable has robust formulation prediction capabilities. Using this, we have been able to train and use models to shorten our development time and more efficiently explore compex formulation spcaes. This is all paired with a robust chemical inventory system that allows for tracking of raw material quality. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** Because Uncountable is willing to adapt to your wants and needs, features are sometimes moved around and difficult to find. However, each iteration becomes more smooth and user-friendly in addition to becoming more powerful. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Uncountable to manage all of our R&D formulas. We have been able to speed up our development process with targeted formulation space explorations and have increased collaboration by having easy access to everyone's data. Time and time again the foundations of our businesses research kowledge and developments are deteriorated from employee turnover. It simply is not possible to retain all the R&D knowledge when an employee retires or moves on. Uncountable offers a solution to data retention and utilization across generations of employees. I love that you can easily sift through pages, if not years of data and find a very specific experiment and or data set with ease. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** The Uncountable web platform is very efficient and from a software and functionality standpoint is perfectly designed. The machine learning feature of the uncountable platform is only as effective as the data you put in. So as time goes on, the machine learning feature will become more valuable. I think that to fully utilize this feature users need to be very proactive in inputing old data sets and/or generating new data sets. It's not a bad thing, but I have to do the work of inputing additional data sets. Once you have a project set up, inputting data is easy, but it is still a task. **Recommendations to others considering Uncountable Web Platform:** I have not evaluated many other similar platforms, but I would definitely at least demo this one. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** In development stages I have been able to better communicate technical progress and challlenges with my team. Using the platform I can filter data sets in a way that my audience can easily follow and comprehend, as opposed to scrolling through spreadsheet pergatory. My favorite part of the platform is that formulations, data, notes, etc. are all in one place. Having everything related to a formulation project on a single platform makes it very easy to filter results and compare formulations. I'm also a big fan of the data visualization and analysis tools, which are great for better understanding the formulation space. Finally, the DOE tools and formulation suggestions have been beneficial for product development. The best part is that it is all saved and easily accessible on the Uncountable platform - not spread out across multiple folders and spreadsheets. The review wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention the excellent customer service. I've enjoyed working with the Uncountable team during the adoption phase. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** I have encountered some issues when using the DOE and suggestion features, but they have been quickly resolved by the Uncountable team. There is sometimes a few bugs to work out when trying something new. Other big advantage is because some calculation on formulation as particularity of some technology, after we set the calculation methodology, it becomes automatically and save too much time on projects. We have seen a large acceleration in development across multiple projects that would not have been possible without this tool and the service provided. The data scientists are very responsive, helpful, and thorough when analyzing complex data sets and suggesting new experimentation which significantly contributes to optimizing convergence. Uncountable is also very receptive to the needs of a particular client and will add in requested features that the client deems helpful to their projects. Lastly, the user interface is simple to navigate and customize, affording the ability to generate instant regressions or entire experimental analysis on all or some of the experiments within a given project. **What do you dislike about Uncountable Web Platform?** To date this system has been a critical asset for our R&D group, the only minor issue is the adjustment period for team members who are used to other software packages becoming fluent in Uncountable. However with constant changes and advancements in technology this is a simple and expected obstacle to overcome. **What problems is Uncountable Web Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving formulation, production and scale up problems with the Uncountable Platform. Typically these are very complex and there is difficulty correlating a lot of the data particularly in the scale up period. Uncountable has helped us actually discover legitimate working correlations that have signifivantly improved and streamlined the scale up process.
