It has project management, time keeping, expense reporting, resource planning, and full financials. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** Unanet has a built-in Tableau-like interface called Analytics. It works okay, but does not have enough off-the-shelf reports for companies to use; currently, I believe every report has to be built from scratch. We have requested Unanet to please introduce a bevy of standard reports to get people going to help familiarize with what Analytics can do, so that they can build upon these reports. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet GovCon does a great job reporting out project forecasts and profitability of those forecasts. These JSR reports combine actual project-to-date data with planned future data to give you an overall forecast picture. These JSR reports are highly customizable as each company reports out their revenue and profitability a little differently. We use Smartsheets to manage our projects and Unanet for financial management and currently, we have to manually take data from Unanet and manually import it into Smartsheets. I would like there to be a tool that works to assist with transferring the data. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integrated financial data - It is nice to have the financial management for the corporation and the projects in one place. Indirect Rates - When set up correctly, the system will calculate the indirect rates on either budgets or actuals. This is a great benefit and it saves me a lot of time. Accurate time and expense reporting - The timesheets and expense reports, in conjunction with the assignments, help us to manage the reporting and allocation of time and expenses to the projects. ### 36. The software allows billers to select exactly which dates and work items to pull through on an invoice and allows the biller to defer or writeoff things that can't be billed all in a clear and automated manner. Additionally, the timekeeping module is very robust but simple. We have been able to collect and reconcile timesheet data much faster than before and the ease of use has drastically improved user adoption. Very glad to have made the move to Unanet as a GovCon business. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** It would be nice to see some more standardized payroll and bank file integrations to streamline the Payroll Processing with a third party and to streamline the Bank Reconciliations. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unanet's customizable invoicing module streamlined our billing processes allowing for a faster turn on invoice payments. The timekeeping module is very robust but has a simple UI. During implementation, we probably ignored over 70% of what is available to use and it was still total information overload. To successfully set certain capabilities up, you sometimes have to set them up in three very different places for it to work. Sometimes, if you set it up in one place and not another, it is the WRONG place and it does not work. THERE IS NO USER GUIDE for implementation. There is only the help articles and videos on Unanet University. As a small company with no staff dedicated 100% to setting up this system, we really needed a user guide for set up! THERE IS NO SEARCH FUNCTION. You cannot search for anything in Unanet. You just have to know where it is. But nothing is intuitive, and nothing is explained. There is no functionality for basic things like selecting what type of leave someone is requesting. Many of the reports cannot be exported as excel spreadsheets. It can be difficult or impossible to get reports to show me only the information I want. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multiple companies housed under the same ERP. ### 42. NOT INTUITIVE. -Attaching documents to an Opp is cumbersome and no better than leaving them on company drives -There is no field for a URL -Report feature is unruly and daunting, oh and doesn't work. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use the CRM tool for the most part. A main area that this applies to is the budget process within Unanet. Labor and expenses are budgeted at a project level and then it is a manual process to put it all together for an overall company budget based on the general ledger. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an ERP system, Unanet has helped streamline the overall process of expenses, payments, billings, and calculating indirect rates. I feel that the system sets items up clearly to ensure we record everything correctly for government contracting. ### 44. Technical Support is beneficial whenever an issue arises. The ability to create custom projects, reports, etc, to meet our specific needs makes Unanet a great system. **What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?** Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Unanet had telephone support during the day, where we could call and get immediate assistance. Post-pandemic, all help is email driven, but the response time is within 24 hours, and video calls are now utilized. I do wish telephone support still existed for those quick emergent questions when they occur during a closing cycle. **What problems is Unanet GovCon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Recently Unanet solved our database issue where our Billing and Revenue Post would lag and time-out.
